This game really gets you interested in building and managing your own theme park. But also gives you the opportunity to talk with the people who go in the theme park. You click on them and if they want something and are about to leave, you must quickly make it so the person won't leave. You must also make sure you mustn't spend all your money all at once or else you'll be in big trouble!!I recommend this game to kids 8 and up.
addictive!!! So much fun!

I was playing this game for hours! It is so much fun! Once you start, you cant stop! You want to make your SeaWorld the best! It has some of the entertainment that the real SeaWorlds have, like Shamu. The people in it are sort of realistic, but in the game, you can tell if a person is happy or sad or impresed or whatever! You have got to buy this game!!!
Good Game.

SeaWorld Tycoon is a pretty good game. The graphics are excellent and I can keep lots of trash off the ground if I set up lots of garbage cans early in the game.
There are things I didn't like about the game. One, I've filled up my whole park with buildings and scenery but I can't get my average guest raiting past three and a half and I have over six hundred thousand dollars. Two, you can't change the camera view.
Overall its a pretty good game and my brother thinks its harder than my Zoo Tycoon games since you start out your Sandbox levels with a lot less money in SeaWorld than you do in a Freeform game in Zoo Tycoon. But stuff in SeaWorld Tycoon are a lot cheaper than stuff in Zoo Tycoon.
nice idea, average execution

I really was looking forward to this game, hoping it would be everything Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 wasn't. It's a good first effort, but the packaging is a little misleading. You don't really get to design your park, your way. You really only get to decide where, in their 3 basic park designs, that you want to put the completely pre-designed rides and buildings. No custom coasters here, and no real interaction with the animals. It's an awesome concept--mesh "Zoo Tycoon" with "Rollercoaster Tycoon". The problem is, it doesn't work well as either a coaster game or a zoo game here. Awesome concept, average-to-poor execution (I only lean toward "average" because it's a first-time-effort).
Also, like many games these days, there is no real manual included. Why *give* you a manual when they can *sell* you a strategy guide? You're not going to figure out many aspects of the game w/o playing the first few levels (which really should have been labeled "Training").
Good, but room for improvement

This game is average but definitely not the best in tycoon style games.
For example not all the buildings are rotatable and there is only one fixed camera view. There is also a limit to how many workers you can employ and after about 5 days on the in-game clock your buildings start to break down a lot.
However it is nice to see real rides from the parks and you can, if you have the patience, make your parks large and beautiful with the scenery and foliage which is available.
It's ok...

Well, it's good, but not the best. I bought this game thinking that I would be able to design the park my way. You can do this, just not to a great extent.
Pro's:
Wonderful detail (the attractions look exactly like they do in the the real Sea World)
Pretty scenery
Interesting animal sounds/info
Con's:
no rotating button (I'm used to rotators, so having none in this game really dissapointed me)
not enough attractions/scenery (even though it's beautiful, I wish there were more of them)
inablility to choose your own animals/no way to design buildings (this is probably the biggest thing that upsets me. in zoo tycoon, you can choose which animals you want in an attraction. you can also color your own buildings and create your own pens/cages for the animals)
fizzy when close up (what's the point of getting as close as you can to the screen, when you can't see anything because it's blurry?)
not enough "sandbox" levels (they should have more locations as to were you want to build your own park)
All in all, it could use some work. Great idea, great attractions, not-so-great game.
OK for young kids, too boring for experienced players

I have a 5 and 7 year old who have been playing Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoons 1 & 2 for about a year. I have to agree with most of the other reviews here. this game is way too slow and boring for any experienced gamers. My 7 year old is very disappointed that he can't build his own coasters. We've only had the game for 2 days now, but we still haven't figured out how to add employees (can anyone tell me???) so our parks all have trash on the ground and our rides need mechanics. I'd love help with that one!!
My 5 year old, however, is ok with this game. he is too young to build his own coasters, and slapping down prefab buildings is more up his alley. So he thinks this is ok. There are only 3 different scenarios to choose from though, so I think he will quickly outgrow it. Especially since he already does ZT pretty much alone and prefers to choose the tricks that the animals perform in their shows. This game just doesn't have it.
I would reccommend Zoo Tycoon with the Marine/Dinosaur expansion for anyone thinking about this game. You get SOOOO much more for your money. If you already have ZT, don't buy this -- you will be disappointed.
Its okay

The game is okay. You can't rotate all exhibits/shows/food courts/resturants. Also the screen is locked in one position. Its not as fun as I thought it would be. I enjoy collecting tycoon games of all types and this wasn't one of the best. I got from my teacher who said she got it off of amazon for me because she thought I would like it. Indeed, I was excited about this new game. But when I played it, I thought I could make a park just as good on Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania. If you are looking for a good game with sea creatures then I suggest Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania.
One Of The Worst Of The "New" Tycoons

I love Tycoons. I don't even know if this game can be classified as one, since you can't plan your park from the beginning, are not given any real tools to moniter and manage your park, and no management over each individual building. People will complain about things being wrong, but most of the time you are unable to do anything about it since the buildings are pre made (meaning you can't set the prices etc for most of them).
There is no tutorial, but the game is so simplified and has such limited options one isn't really needed. There is no open play, and you are given about 10 missions - which I completed in half a day. Yes, I dragged myself through to the end with blind faith that it HAD to get better. It didn't. I can't believe any game company could publish this and expect people to pay money. If you want a GREAT game about managing zoos and seaparks, try Zoo Tycoon Collection which includes zoo tycoon and the expansions marine mania and dinosaur digs.
The only way I could see someone being satisfied by this game is if they are under the age of 13 and have never played a decent tycoon game. Compared to the others it can't even get off ground level.
