This game is amazing!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 4 / 4

Let me just tell you that this is an amazing game, from the graphics, to the sound, to the vast majority of cars, right down to the gameplay.

This is one of those games that would make you want to play this game over and over again. I have had nfsmw black edition for about four days now and on regular play I have completed 20% percent of the black list.

The cop chases are fun but to be honest they do get boring once a while such as if you were just in a cop chase then you want to race, but a cop finds you, you would have to do the same thing again and after a while it gets repetitive.

The last part about this game is that when your heat level goes 4 or over, it is extremely hard to run away from them, especially if you are in a race lol. Then if I were you I would switch cars once in a while.

The speed factor in this game is crazy, its like Midnight Club 3 but with great textures and picture. Also the motion blur runs nicely and makes you feel like you are really driving that fast as in real life.

Catch-Up Codes and Cheesey Acting Be-DAMNED!

For another review, with a bit of vulgar language, go to SobaKai.com.

Ok, I'm not really sure where to begin. first, I'll say that I'm not a fan of Electronic Arts. They are, however, buying up all of my other options and leaving me with just their games to pick from. That being said,

N4S:MW has turned out to be a pretty good game. As far as graphics go, and filler movies too, it's leaps and bounds above Underground 2. UG2 only had sliding pictures for filler movies, and the character graphics were rather bland for my standards. Of course, to be fair, I never got to play the game on full graphics.

In N4S:MW the object is to race your way to the top of the "Blacklist." That being the 10/15 (damn me for forgetting) racers that are most wanted by the police. Playing this game starts off like every other N4S game. Slow. It does, heowever, pick up pretty quickly.

The racing in this game has a "pucker factor" like no other. Many thanks go out to the catch up code on that one. Eventually, the computer doesn't need to use it because the tracks actually become challenging making you do hair pin turns and 180s to 360s and the type of stuff you expect from a good racer. My only problem with the catch up code is that there is no logical explanation for a car to be right behind/beside me when three seconds ago I was 15 feet from lapping him. If the driver is really that good, I never should've gotten that far ahead in the first place.

The police chases start out really slow, too, but once you get a good amount of wanted status, they pick up... and they go on for a while! Eventually, they become redundant, because lots of times you're not doing anything wrong and BAM!.. police chase. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but, don't play this game if you have to be anywhere in 20 minutes. The odds are, you'll have to do a hard shut down on your PC/X-Box in order to get out of the chase early... esspecially if your wanted status is 2x or above. The cops are a lot like Grand Theft Auto's cops... the PD is a bunch of donut sucking retards and the FBI is precise, in lots of numbers, have cars that can out-run a Ferrari (riiiiight), and still suck down donuts.

Electronic Arts has a very bad habit of making games that envelope a story on something as fictitious as giant ticks from the moon. The cheesey acting in the title comes from, well, everybody doing any acting in the game. I never expect more than cheesey acting, but this game takes the cake and then some. Your "arch-enemy's" crew is full of crack-pots that a five-year-old could wallop. Your arch-enemy himself is one of those "I'm so bad, my too loud for a whisper but too soft to be talking, evilish tone is proof of it" types. He steals your car and your "non-existant until it comes time for her to get stolen" girlfriend. Then, he just shows up every now and then AND calls your cell phone. Did you ever give him your number? NO. I think he's stalking you... scary guy.

The actress that does the "please don't kill yourself driving and then sue us" introduction is pretty hot though. She's kind of believable, but that doesn't say much when compared to everyone else's acting.

All in all though, I enjoyed the game. You have to get past the crappy acting and the rap abundant soundtrack(though they did throw in some rock... like three songs =P), but once you can do that, this game is pretty damned fun. No lie.

Like I said, the catch-up code isn't really needed later on in the game because the courses become challenging. The graphics are stunning, esspecially once I threw a body kit on to the Lamborghini Merciellago(sp?). I was impressed even though it stunk like Electronic Arts. I recommend this game, but only if you have a strong stomach for people who aren't anything more than desk junkies pretending to be harcore gangter G things.

It's a good game for it's purpose. If you play it, you'll like it. Just please, don't act like the people in the game!

--------- --------- --------- (nothing to do with my review)

Oh, and one more thing EA, I'm a suburban white-boy. I know how to drive and I race every now and then. I hate rap. I don't act like I'm part of the Westside Connection or the Wu-Tang Clan. Not every racer out there looks like they were ripped out of a "Poser Mobile" commercial.

FEES SHAWTY!

Currently playing the PC Demo: Every once and awhile a game comes along that just blows the doors of anything else out there. Today that game is NFS: Most Wanted. The graphics and AI are surpurb. The fictional world in which your racer inhabits is painstakingly real & enormous (event though you can't see most of it due to blistering speeds)

The physics & the game-play give a feeling of REAL speed!

Game of the year HANDS DOWN!! A must have.

only one thing troubles me; No instant replay option in the Demo, I would love to see the Havoc I'm reeking from the cops' point of view. Does the full version have this feature?

Amazing detail

I played all of the NFS games but have never played one like Most Wanted. The chase with the cops is unlike the previous versions of NSF, now the police do not let up and you can be chased until you get caught for me the chase lasted 30mins which is fun, funny and challenging. The physics, graphics and sound is right on the money.
there are other modes of racing like blacklist and others It's worth every penny, just get it!

Great game!!

This game is way better than the previous NFS installments. The free movement and cop chasing really add depth to an otherwise boring driving game. I like the tweaks that you can apply to the cars, but that's really not the highlight of this game. It's the characters, graphics, sound, and cop chasing in a free-roaming environment that lend this game to be one of the best driving games to come to the PC!

The love child of Need For Speed Undergound 2 and Hot Pursuit

With this game you get the best of both worlds. The customization of Underground 2, and the running from the "Fuz" of Hot Pursuit.

The gameplay, sound, graphics, and replay value are all top notch. Just make sure that you breathe when you are in the middle of a level 5 police chase.

Perfect Gift!!!

Believe it or not, it was a Graduation Gift that I gave to a friend of mine. HE LOVED IT...it's perfect. The details, the soundtrack...everything in the game is just amazing.

Great game, lots of play time, sometimes funny, sometimes makes you mad, but never boring!

All show & no go

This game stalled at the starting line!

All show and no go:

Lets cut to the chase, This game was a huge disappointment from the start. Game pad could not configure proper and there are no dead zone adjustments. I spent top dollar on this mediocre game(if that). Its all dazzle with no meat on its bones. Sure the graphics are nice, but the whole game is spoon feed to you with gay track arrow barriers, un challenging 4 lane highway racing, and poor car physics.
NFS:Porche unleashed is the benchmark so far(Motor city also). It had car physics, insane damage that would stay all through the career. If you wanted to keep your 944 crumpled up or couldn't afford it, then that's the way it stayed.
NFS:MW has a car customize thing and a nice story mood, other then that I just didn't find it fun. The police chases weren't enough to bring this game to a positive review. People said you had to get into it. 5min I uninstalled it only to reinstall it again to see what I was missing, It was a struggle of will to get to the free range mode where it added no enjoyment.
For the love of Pete EA, please go back to your roots on making a solid customizable game that isn't just for show. Bring back damage!
As for the score, I don't understand how it gets such good reviews, maybe I demand to much out of my race games, the more realistic the better. This is obviously an arcade game, an arcade game that has console style(Rad Racer for NES comparable??) written all over it. I feel this has lost the NFS credibility.

Bottom line: Rental for console. Pc, avoid it.

Awesome graphics and cars

This is the ultimate 10th anniversary Need For Speed. For people who liked the Hot Pursuit and its exotic cars, or those who love the tuner cars of Underground, this is a combination of both. Open roads racing with rivals and trying to stay away from the police. Takes some time to play. Its worth it: If you want a good racing game this is it!
