Great for Simpsons fans, really good for everyone else

Vivendi managed to do what so many others have failed to accomplish - make a good Simpsons game. As has been said in many other reviews, think Grand Theft Auto meets The Simpsons.

Being a huge Simpsons fan myself (I collect as much Simpsons merchandise as my wallet will allow), this game was met with eager anticipation. And, for once, I wasn't disappointed. The voice talents are all here, the graphics are great (not spectacular, but better than good), the missions are increasingly challenging, and there's a lot of extras to find and keep you entertained. Although replay value falls a little once you complete the game 100%, the road to finding everything in the game is highly entertaining.

I would recommend this game to all Simpsons fans (you will find show references galore) and to anyone looking for a GTA-style game with a lot more comedy.

I have to say that this is one game that provides hours of fun and is absolutely hilarious. I initially got the game for my son, however, I play it more than he does. The missions are challenging and along with all the comments made by each character, you can't help but laugh. People may make comments that the game contains violence because the characters are able to run over people and kick them but when they do this, they are also chased and caught by the police and fined. And we all have to remember that it is just a game and that there are many more games out there that are much more violent than this. As long as the older children and teenagers know that this is make believe and that it's wrong to actually run over people and kick them and that it's just a game, then it's a fun and hilarious game. I think they have done a great job by adding in the aspect of being caught by police if you do something wrong. If you love playing challenging games that are packed with lots of laughs and loads of fun, I highly recommend The Simpsons: Hit and Run. Enjoy!

I think hit n run is amazing and but reasonably difficult. I hate the green trash disposal lorries that drive around randomly. it is great fun for lots of people to take turns. It is probably better than GTA Vice City.

Especially for a simpsons game, this is kick@ss! To be honest, I like this better than grand theft auto 3 or vice city. Everthing about it is perfect except for the stupid repetitive things that your characters say. (LIke "2, 4, 6, 8, you suck I'm great, lahlahlahlah, you I do hate") Over a half an hour, I heard that , 47 times. Rediculous. Besides crap like that, this game is lots of fun and is pretty funny.

I bought this game and had a blast for the first few hours I played it. After that it started getting repetitive. It has all the characters I love from the show, but it just gets stale in my opinion, the missions seem to be the same one with just a different outcome (races, find a certain amount of items before the time runs out, etc). If you are looking for a GTA ripoff, this is kinda it. It has the same elements, but the missions only allow you to play one character per area, and other characters cannot go into those areas (unless this happens later in the game, I got too bored to find out).

My suggestion is to rent it, and if you arent bored after the first few days, buy a copy. Maybe its just me who got bored easily.

I think this will be a great game!I think for anyone who likes GTA Vice City this is a must buy for them!There is many missions to choose from!I think this is going to be a great game for everyone to buy!

I was surprised at how good this game is. It's not quite as free-form and open as GTA; in fact the levels are quite linear, but cleverly designed to not seem that way. Missions are all about driving, which gets tedious sometimes. Timed missions are sometimes very tight. Overall it's fun though, well worth the $10 or so bucks it sells for these days.

This game is a blast. It is pretty straightforward but some of the tasks took me multiple tries and multiple days to get. Even my husband took turns when I got too frustrated and then he got frustrated and so we both stopped for a while. But it is a fun game. There are little secrets all over the place and the different cars are fun to drive. Its a good game for any age because the controls and game design are straightforward, like I said. I have yet to finish the game (because I'm stuck) but I am a good ways thru and have enjoyed it immensly so far.

Much like the GTA series, except no cursing and less violence but more comedy. A definate must play game for any Simpsons fan.

This is the best simpsons game by far with all the references,humor and fun you expect in a game.This game is like simpsons GTA.Instead of killing people with guns you kick people with the mighty boot.When you hit someone with a car the go flying in the air.It has funny dialogue and some crazy missions.There is plenty to do between the side missions,gags,finding collector's cards,and the main mission itself.What I like is how you can drive or walk depending on how you feel.All the key places are here like the Kwik-E-Mart,Power Plant,Church,and all the other places.The voice acting is great with all the cast members in the game.Vehicle designs and stats make sense and are cool.You play as Marge,Lisa,Apu,Bart,and Homer.Sadly it's time to go to the cons.The missions are far to repeditive.Collect these items,destroy that car,race this guy,beat the clock.Those are pretty much the missions you do.Also The levels are repeditive.7 levels 3 environments.Granted they change a little each time but still.My final complaint is that it goes from easy to hard in the blink of an eye.Don't let the cons turn you away from this fantastic game though.
