This is the best version for the chess player who wants to improve his game. Everything happens on a layout that you like (lots of ways to customize). You can layer different windows that are relevant to you and remove others. Cool Windows such as 'database','captured pieces' or 'coach'. The database is a useful, but cumbersome tool. Some windows are limited in how they can be sized, and this is an irritant. Overall it is very good. CM7000 was a drastic change to a product that just needed to be refined. Jazzy, Polished look to 7000 but you must navigate several "rooms" to access all the features. To quote CM itself, "Yikes!". My son has serious concerns about CM8000 / Windows 2K compatibilty, but I have yet to try 8000 myself.
