There's a magazine?!?

I got this game many years ago in a bundle pack with Smart Games: Word Puzzles. I really liked this, tons of different types of puzzles. I admit that the descriptions of some games aren't perfect, and it would be better if answers were given for all instead of only certain types of puzzles

Other than that, I always had a good time with this, and it's what first got me hooked on the nonograms/Paint-by-numbers/Griddlers! I want to buy the first Games Interactive, really much. And this is even if you consider what the other reviewers say. So if this game wants me to get more, than it can't really be drop dead awful as people say.

If you can only find this version, go ahead and pick it up. Granted, the game runs differently on different computers. One computer runs dead slow, another with messed up graphics, but my desktop XP runs it perfectly. Very fast, reliable, etc.

And now, in closing, I gotta say.. I didn't know there was a magazine, so I look forward to checking that out in the future.

I agree with Mike, but I think that his rating was a bit high. I believe that the constructors of the games stopped short of completing their set-up of each game. They knew how the games were to be played, but it seems they didn't want anyone else to know. Maybe they thought that part of the "game" was to guess how to work it! I wouldn't mind guessing, if I thought that I could still play the game when I got the answer correct. Back to the drawing board, Guys!

Since I love Games Magazine and I ran across a great deal for this CD-rom I bought it...and I wish I hadn't. I've heard the first one is better but whoever wrote this one sure didn't do their job. Instructions on some of the games would have been nice!! Stay away from this one. Stick with the magazine!!

This program's format is similar to the first CD but with more types of mind benders. Unfortunately, the music and SFX are whisper quiet. The game ran sluggish on my PIII 600MHz, 128 MB computer. Typing in the answers to "fill in the blank" questions was painfully slow. I would have to hold down a single key on the keyboard for 2 to 3 seconds for it to show up on the screen. The game didn't give thorough instructions on how to play some of the games, just a one or 2 page primer on the object of each puzzle. In addition, the game doesn't give the answers to some puzzles.

Save your money or at least put it towards a Games Magazine subscription, which is many times better than this item.
