great game

i like this game alot. it was fun to play. we rented it first and then we bought it. my only bad thing about this game is the camera work. the game looks better than any thing else out there. if you check the gaming magazines they give this game great ratings. you should read ign's, nintendo power, etc to get a really good idea about this game. i like this game becuase you go through dreams and nightmares. i give this game the following.

Frustrating game

Well we thought this would be a nice game for our kids, not gory violence, lots of fun, etc. My kids played it a few times than asked me to play because they were stuck. I got a little further, but then got to a place that is just too agravating. I would agree that the clips are funny, to a point, and I would completely agree that the controls are far too difficult and it is too easy to get stuck without any help to get out. Stay away from this game. A waste of money.

Demo pretty weak

Played the first one and thought it was okay. I recently played the demo that was packed in with OPM magazine. It was pretty dismal. The game play is slow, the camera is nausiating and overall the game is just slow and no fun. I think I liked the first one better than this one.

I love this game. I can't wait for nickelodeon to come out with the cartoon version of this game. In this game you go through dreams of taks and take on his nightmares. the dream levels are really cool. I have played this for three days now. the colors in this game are just like a dream. i think that number 3 should let you multi player but other than that no complants. I hope that this gives you a good idea how fun this game is.

Dreams and Nitmares

This game is fun and you get to go through tak's dreams and nitmares. the screens are great because they look like you are in his dreams for reals. this game is fun and a lot more action paked than the first. I love this game but have only had it for a week so far. The camera is kind of jumpy some times.

INTRO.
I know that some people (if I may quote the other reveiwer, Mr. B.,) think this game is 'not easy for normal humans', but seriously, it is a good game! Don't base it on whether a level or two is challenging. Would you like it better if it was a piece of cake? I sure as heck wouldn't. (To be fair, I did have some trouble with levels: Rift River, some parts of the Planetarium, etc.)

GAMEPLAY
Tak 2 plays very nicely, as far as games go. Environments and animals and people are so nicely done, and the levels are varied, not like you're in one area for the whole game. The music is easily listenable to, not like some other obnoxious video game music, example being Kingdom Hearts Traverse Town music. (Forigve me!) The fighting system is basically button mashing at the beginning, but it develops as you get new juju powers and learn combo attacks. I also enjoyed the animal changing parts of the game...true, some parts were unbeliveably annoying (like when you're a flying squirrel, juju runs out and you plummet to your death kind annoying.) but I still liked the idea of being able to change into bears, squirrels, frogs, and boars. This game's graphics do the animators credit. It's awesome how Tak's moves look so realistic when he's in water, or in mud, or tipetoeing, or jumping, or whatever.

PROS AND CONS
Pros:
1. Amazing animation
2. Funny dialouge
3. For once, a game with good music
4. Nice fighting system
5. Awsome animal changes
6. Just darn fun to play and beat!

Cons:
1. Some really hard killer levels...I had a ton of trouble with the darts in Gloomleaf Swamp...bleh.
2. A few glitches and bugs in this game.
3. Augh! Loading times!

OVERALL
I'd definitely say buy it, if not rent it. It's really fun and has a ton of replay value.

Our family owns the first Tak and while I don't think this game is bad, it just seems a bit too similar to the first game and still has many of the same problems. The collect-fest of the game is still as annoying as it was in the first game also the camera works very poorly. The characters and graphics look better, the worlds are larger and there are some decent puzzle aspects - but it just still feels a bit slow and monotnous.

My kids love the trial version!!

They love it so much that I am doing a pre-order on the game. Sooooooo with that said, I guess its great for ages 7-10 cuz my girls love it!!!

This game is fun and you can see why parenting magzine rated it the number 1 software of the year. i like to play it with my dad. this game is really fun because you fight tak's nightmare monsters. this game has a lot of action.

Not very good, not very fun, very slow. Much better products out there. My biggest complaint is the game has gotten any better since the first one. I rented it and am glad that I did.
