A seller at Amazon featured this game for an excellent price. The game is actually two classic games: Original Bejeweled and Alchemy designed to work on newer Macs. Bejeweled 2 is graphically more pleasing to the eye, but the original game still has its charm. Alchemy is also a great symbol puzzle game. The games run pretty much flawlessly on new Intel based Macs and provide hours of relaxing gameplay.
A WINNER! YOU'LL LOVE THIS GAME AND WON'T WANT TO QUIT!!

When I ordered Bejeweled & Alchemy (Mac) I thought it was Bejeweled 2 Deluxe. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that has. I was somewhat disappointed.

Alchemy is an addictive puzzle game. It has a finite number of levels, but it is a rare day that you actually win each level and make it through the final level... and due to the randomness of the pieces, no game is quite the same any time you play it.
The goal is to make a piece disappear once per square on the 64 places (8 rows by 8 columns) by completing one vertical or horizontal row of like piece. Once every square has changed color, you proceed to the next level. Some pieces, silver squares, are like wild cards that can be placed adjacent to any piece - other pieces must be placed next to another piece with either the same color and/or the same symbol. The symbols are runes, so like MahJohngg, you may have a match and not even realize it.
The sound, music and graphics are great and it is addictive!
Bejeweled is akin to a Tetris like game - but no twisting of pieces. Each piece looks like a precious gem. Get three or more in a row (horizontal, diagonal or vertical) and they vanish. A timer at the bottom counts down as you try to complete so many vanishing gems before your limit expires. Getting a lot of pieces to vanish at once will extend your time. Not only easy to play, but also challenging, addictive, and cool to look at.
Bejeweled is Addictive!!

Buy this game! Bejeweled is fast and fun, you'll play for hours. It's kind of like a take on Tetris, but you must line up different colored jewels to clear rows and sections. Very addictive! Alchemy is fun, too. You must place symbols in that game to match up columns or rows to win!
So, one word: BUY!
