Best feature is an EASY PLAY for young kids

What I loved about this, besides the Veggie-Tales aspect, was it has an Easy Play button in Parental Controls for younger kids. This allows unlimited tries and help with the harder actions in the game. For example: there are deep pits Cuke must jump over. With Easy Play, the cumcumber just bounces out of them instead of losing a player.

This is not only such a fun game, but great for sereral age groups and it does not just use the mouse, it uses buttons on the keyboard.

The guys at Big Idea really did a good job on this.

You & Your Kids Will Love This!! (Works on XP)

I borrowed this game from our local library about a year ago when my boys were just 3 and my oldest daughter was 6. While we had it, I did install it, but the kids didn't get around to playing it before I returned the game to the library. A couple weeks later, one of the boys clicked the icon that remained on the computer. Lo and behold, THE GAME RUNS WITHOUT THE DISC!!

My 3 year old twin boys and my 6 year old daughter were totally able to figure out how to play this game themselves. They have played it almost daily for about a year now. It has to be the all-time favorite game in this household.

Not only is this game fun and easy to learn for children, but it is entertaining and challenging for adults, as well. My husband & I sometimes even play this. In addition, any time we have had houseguests, young or old, everyone loves this game.

P.S. We have Windows XP and this game runs just fine for us.

I got this game for our 4-year old for Christmas and he is having a great time. It only requires the four arrow keys to move, plus the ctrl to whip, and space to jump so that was easy for him to learn. After a while he did get agravated because he wasn't able to advance as fast; then I found (and turned on) "EasyPlay" and he can now play it with ease. "EasyPlay" makes you invincible so you can't die but you still have to learn how to get past some of the obstacles. Our 3-year old has already started to try to play it too.

The story is really fun. It and the animation do a great job of telling an Indiana Jones type story Veggie-style. Ex: In the beginning Minnesota Cuke (Larry) rescues an ancient cooking crock and then decides (to Bob's dismay) to try it out by using it to cook his Grandma's goulache.

Also, for parents who need to put on time limits there is a parental time control.

Note: When I tried to install is on XP for our child's login (a limited user) I had to readjust the NTFS ACLs to get it to save their name from their account (it stores the config files in the application directory). Translation: If my have problems saving on XP you may have to run it from a PowerUser Account.

This game is the best ever! Ever since I first saw it in Target, I wanted it so bad! My six-year-old sister, Rhiannon, has always loved this game ever since we first saw it. So I just want to say "Thank you!" to VeggieTales for creating this game in the first place!
