I've played lots of games (all the Myst series, all the Monkey Island series, 7th guest, etc etc etc): this one remains my favorite. The puzzles are satisfyingly difficult, the characters goofily absurd (in goofiness I'd compare it to Monkey Island)....the parrot in particular has become a permanent part of our family's vocabulary. My teen son and nephews played this and did well with little or no help, too, which surprised me because it is challenging. I had absolutely no installation problems with this. DEFINITELY worth the money, especially since the whole family will love it AND it is entertaining, not violent. (Important tips: Don't forget to keep the robots "tuned up"! AND SAVE THE BOX, the back of it has a visual clue to the solution of one very difficult puzzle)
Fantastic game, one of the best I've seen

So many great things to say about the game, where do I begin? The graphics are incredible, and ran surprisingly smoothly - usually games like this have all kinds of hitches. Wonderful interactive environment and characters, and funny as all get out. Some people have been complaining about tough puzzles, and there are a few places where a player is likely to get stuck and frustrated, but figuring them out makes them really worth it, and they aren't impossible to solve. The challenge keeps it interesting, and the game's so great you'll want it to last longer. If you like any of the Myst or Beyond Atlantis games, or if you love Douglas Adams, you're bound to enjoy Starship Titanic.

Simply the greatest PC game I have ever played. It's difficult, it's infuriating, it makes you want to kill the damn robots but it's the funniest thing I have ever seen - although I hesitate to say it I include the Hitchhiker's Guid to the Galaxy in that.
Adams humour runs through the game like a solid backbone and is supported by an excellent cast of voices hailing from the Monty Python team. You'll recognise more and mroe of them as you progress.
There is no better Douglas Adams writing out there. Get the game if you are a DNA fan or just like good humour! But you won't get ANYWHERE without a hint book 0 it's THAT hard!
Good Graphics, Bad Game.

The main problem with this game is that the puzzles don't make any sense, whatsoever. In fact, they make so little sense, that you won't even know what the puzzles are. I found myself wandering around, wondering what I should do. I couldn't even figure out what the first puzzle was. I had to look at a walkthrough to figure out what to do first. To me, that's a sign of a bad game. Plus, when you actually figure out where the puzzle is, the puzzle is insanely hard. For example: The talking bomb puzzle. That puzzle is so hard, I'm almost positive you will have to use a walkthrough. Another problem is that, supposely, you can "talk" to the robots, and they can give you hints. Well, the problem is that they never say anything useful. And even though they apparently have a ton of different things to say, they'll end up repeating themselves a lot. And don't even get me started on the parrot. That character was so annoying I wanted to kill myself. This game is very frustating, because it just dumps you on a "starship", and it doesn't give you any clues about where to go, what to do, and the robots are no help. By the time I had to use a walkthrough to get through the first three puzzles, I unistalled it. I didn't see any point of the game if the puzzles were impossible to figure out by myself. Or maybe that was just me, I don't know. The reason I didn't give this game one star is because the graphics are pretty sweet. It's a really nice looking game, but it's a shame that it's so bad.
Pros: Good graphics. It's somewhat funny at times.
Cons: Holy moly, I'm not even going to try to list them all.
Overall: 2 stars. If you like really nice looking adventure games, you might want to pick this up... But I warn you: You will use a walkthrough to get through this game, and you will use it a lot. Since I have a pet peeve about walkthroughs, I didn't use one, and unistalled it rather than cheat my way through it. Although, I might reinstall it, and use a walkthrough to get myself through the game, just to see some more of the graphics and see just where the storyline is going to go. But I don't suggest you get this game unless you find it somewhere for really cheap, and/or if you're addicted to adventure games.
The hardest point and click adventure ever made

This is a insanly difficult game. On one hand we have a butiful game that has many fantastic moments, but it is also (in my opinion) the hardest point and click adventure game ever made. The only other games that are harder then this is Indiana Jones and the Last crusade and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. I have been trying to beat this thing for...are you ready?...THREE YEARS. 3 years and I have still not beaten this thing. I have tried everything, looking at online guides, reading walkthroughs and still no luck. The puzzles in this game are some of the hardest ever made. They lack any sort of logic and will make you scream in frustration. For instance in the ships bar you can see part of the ships body (The nose) sitting on a counter behind the bar, but whenever you try to pick it up a stupid bar robot prevents you from doing it. To get it you must make him a drink, off which the components are impossible to find. Purred starlings? A crushed T.V.? what kind of sick robots are these?! Another diabolical puzzle is the art room puzzle (where you pull a switch and a statue becomes messed up) you can tell that there are words in the statue but you cant make out what they are. The bird, while funny is incrediably annoying, to the point where you want to strangle it because it wont let you pick up something. Getting the elevator robots to move is difficult too. Keeping track of where your room is is next to impossible. But this game, for all its shortcommings is interesting to play. The graphics are butifull and very nice. Interacting with robots is cool and uniuqe (And sometimes hillarious) The music is also nice and very interesting. There is also references to the book (Can you find the guy who was sucked through a hose? how about the guy who was stabbed?). Overall this game is ok but isint that much fun to play.
The good: Fantastic graphics, lots of hilarious moments, Fantastic soundtrack
The bad: I am not even going to try to say everything
And the ugly: see above

This game is awesome. It runs really smooth, and is a blast to play for hours. Not only are the puzzles challenging and the characters interesting, but the game is stinkin' hilarious!!! A lot like myst, except with comedy thrown in. If you like Monty Python or Douglas Adams, this is for you!!! Strategy guide is really helpful, too.

This game has been a major disappointment. It crashes the computer (a recent Micron model) shortly after starting up. Attempts to get help from tech support have been a joke - they just blame the hardware/drivers and offer no help in trying to find a work-around. Buy at your own risk.
