I love this street fighter game! I was lucky I got this game for a low price! I 't wait for the next SF game to come out!

I remember playing these games when they first came out. Now to have them all together is good. Particularly good is Street Fighter Alpha 2, and SFA2 Gold. These games have a few more characters and the movements are a lot more fluid, making the gameplay most enjoyable.

Street Fighter is a great game to just invite a fellow gamer over to play for hours at a time. Thus it has very high "replay" value in that sense.

I will say that if you are a big graphics person, then this may not be the one for you. However, in terms of playability, this game lives up to the Street Fighter legacy pretty well.

Not the greatest Street Fighter (imo that would be SF2 Turbo), but a collection of some of the best of the prequel series, with a bit of lighter beat-em-up fare in the form of Pocket Fighter.
This manages to be the semi-definitive versions of all the games included by incorporating the arcade dipswitch options (allowing you to change some environmetal and character settings to your personal tastes) on top of the usual difficult/control/sound options. Only the exclusion of the character move listings from the original console releases detracts from the quality of this collection.
Definitely recommended for fans of Street Fighter, especially the Alpha/Zero series.

An entertaining perfect translation of some of Capcom's most sucessful games. It is a shame though that both Street Fighter Alpha 3 versions in this game do not include the World Tour mode. Also, in Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold and Alpha 3 Capcom should have just included SSII, turbo, and all known characters already without forcing you to find them by completing the games and entering codes. Like in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for the PSP, which also includes the World Tour mode. If you have a PSP and aren't really a die hard Street Fighter fan, then choose the PSP alpha 3 max over this game. Now if you are this type of fan then both games are must have for your collection if you have both systems, if not then pick the one that plays for the syastem you own.

Capcom's Street Fighter Alpha series expanded on the fighting elements of their flagship title, and all three games are collected here in this wonderfully done anthology that is a must own for Street Fighter fanatics. Street Fighter Alpha Anthology includes Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2, and the superb 3 (which is reason enough to own this compilation for alone if you don't already have SFA 3 for another system) along with Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix; which features our favorite brawlers in super deformed fighting mode. Despite being a collection of aging 2-D fighters, all the games look crisp and clean, and most important of all, they all play wonderfully to boot. Though it still takes some getting used to playing a Street Fighter game with the PS2 controler, there's plenty here to warrant the asking price, and there's a nice array of extras and unlockables as well. The only real downside is that while this is a nice overall package, if you already own any or all of the included games here, there's really not much reason to lay down the cash for them again. However, if you don't and you are craving some excellent 2-D fighting action, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology is a smashing must own.

Capcom has done good....

When i heard this collection of Street Fighter Alpha was going to be release to PS2 i was really looking forward to it. Now i owned it and i love it. You can't go wrong with this collection of 5 games. I Also owned Capcom's Street Fighter Anniversary Collection which is great. These are games i grew up playing since my teen years. If you a big fan of Street Fighter these two collection games should be on your list.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology comes with 5 games from the Street Fighter Universe from the Likes of Street Fighter Aplpha 1,2 and 3 also Including Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold and Gem Fighter. The game has a great feel if you are into 2D fighters. There are some secret unlockable games once some tasks have been completed. Now lets get 2 the Pros and Cons:

Pros:
-$30 (I find it good at this price for 5 games)
-The Controls are well put and are very easy to use
-Includes Survival, Arcade, and Dramatic Battle Modes and also a training option in case u wanna practice with your favorite character and go out their and kick sum major butt.

Cons
-They are NOT the versions for the PS1 (IE: No world tour, and also more difficult because of the arcade versions.)

not to many cons unless u find any more...overall the game is a must get if you are a Street Fighter fan.

This is so worth the money

I had all of these games on the original Playstation so I didn't think I needed this collection. But after playing it on the PS2, I realize just how great it is. The graphics are arcade perfect. You see things you don't see on the PS1. There are no load times between matches. It's just a much better experience. This and Anniversary Collection are must haves for Street Fighter fans.

Excellent Collection

The games are all great and Gem Fighter is really fun to play I found my wife enjoyed playing it as well. You really need to play with two people instead of the game AI to enjoy it.

I love Street Fighter!

This game is the shizzle! I love the "alpha" series of Street Fighter the most. The artwork and game play is raw. I love Marvel vs Capcom 2 but Im an old schooler when it comes to fighting games and nothing beats Street Fighter Alpha 3. Thank You Capcom and Amazon!!!
