Whole Day Addiction. . .

VERY ENTERTAINING, addictive, and fun.

Graphics were fine, colorful and pleasant, but not shockingly beautiful like in "Harvest Moon" or "Myst" games. They are probably average for games released in FY05, which is to say fairly crisp and enjoyable.

I shelled out the $50 for this game because I have a cold and I thought it might help take my mind off my runny nose. It sure did! The afternoon flew by (and today I feel much better). So far the hardest challenge has been successfully completing 1:42 Sgt. Byrd flying-obstacle-course/shoot-em-out. It took me, well, more than 10 tries. (We'll leave it at that. I'm not a very talented computer-flier.) Otherwise, the enemies seem to die pretty easily when confronted with my fire-breath. The challenges are varied, and the game provides lots of exploration adventure. It requires many drago-acrobatic maneuvers, most of which are achievable within 1 to 3 tries. (Not too frustrating, which is good for a 30+ adult who is relatively new to gaming.)

Overall, I would recommend it for kids or for the kind of adults who have tried Halo and found themselves stuck in a corner getting shot by everyone else. You know . . . the adventurer types who enjoy exploring fun environments and blowing up the occasional ugly bad guy, but who get bored by too much violence. ---MATA

This game is completely enjoyable. What a comeback after the last Spyro game flop. There are many worlds to explore, and characters to meet. You will see familiar and new characters alike as you journey on. The humor throughout the game was a plus, and had me laughing out loud more than once :)The game is not easy and it's not too hard, so it has been very enjoyable for both myself and my nine-year-old son. Great job!! Worth the money.

THIS GAME IS GREAT. WE RENTED IT FOR PS2 AT BLOCK BUSTERS. WE LOVED THE GAME SO MUCH THAT WE BOUGHT IT FROM THEM. THERE ARE MANY REALMS YOU CAN VISIT, GET NEW BREATHS LIKE FIRE( WITCH YOU ALREADY HAVE FROM THE BEGINNING) ELECTRIC BREATH, AQUA, AND FREEZING BREATH. THERE ARE MORE THINGS ABOUT THE GAME, BUT IT'S SO LONG , i CAN'T WRITE IT ALL IN ONE REVIEW. SO GET THE GAME AND FIND OUT MORE. I SAY IT'S NOT A WASTE OF MONEY AND IT'S A GAME THAT WON'T FINISH IN ONE DAY.

Good, but it doesn't deserve the title "Spyro"

This is a fun game,It has incredible graphics, long levels , and cool looking worlds, but it doesn't look like a spyro game. First of all, many main voices where different, for example moneybags has an italian accent. Also it is a bit more confusing than the other games. There where all kinds of special moves and items. On the gamecube version, the controls where all messed up so that it was hard to do simple things like flame and charge. The worst part of all was that there was no maximum number of gems to collect, and I found that to be fun.
I have made a list that rates all the spyro games:
psx
Spyro the dragon: ok
Riptos rage:good
year of the dragon:great
gba
season of ice: flop
season of flame: ok
attack of the rynocks: good
GC, PS2, Xbox
enter the dragonfly: ok
hero's tail: refer to title

I totally love this game! I think its got fun, little minigames to help save the world in different places. I just get a frustrating time during the sargeant bird's minigames. You get timed and I really don't like to rush that much. I love the characters! They are really fun and lovable. I like listnening to the music and everyone who did the voice acting was awesome!!! I like how you can see where you are going and where you are by the map screen. Although, I don't like it when it still has black spots showing where I haven't been and yet I have been there. I like being able to get different abilities such as different breaths and being able to buy stuff! I love it especially when I'm about to die, you know? I really liked this game and, yes, I have finished it! I hope everyone enjoys this awesome game as much as I did. SPYRO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love dragons!!!!

This is my first game to play that is not for play station for one for Spyro. If you have not played the first three games for play station one then my comment mind not be any help to you.

The Graphics are great and are much better that the first games. It is a fun and addictive game like Sonic the hedgehog (Spyro the dragon has alway reminded me of Sonic because it very similar to sonic but different.)

Now the things that did bother me about this game are.

They made certain easier like if you are flying and you barly touch the cliff spyro will put him self up which this is useful because there are lots of time I died in the first three games because of barely hitting a cliff, but then at the same time it took away the challeging affect of learning how to a perfect glide properly without barely doing something.

2.) Spyro voice acting bother because he not up to spyro. Spyro sound like his past adventure when his head and he know he is great

which I will get over it. But the facts of life are the originals will alway be the best games of Spyro (Same with Sonic and any other game) No matter much you change something or try to improve it and make it really great, the originals will alway be the hits.

This game isn't that good

This game isn't that good. Gnasty Gnorc doesn't look like how he should(spyro 1 design), Red looks like and over grown color changed spyro(color changing cheats for spyro 2 and 3), Moneybags is still around with his own shop no less, the breathe power ups stink(what happened to the good old super flame power up?),you have to collect light gems to unlock power ups(seriously. The super charge power up had always be free in the first 3 spyro games), They don't have the original dragon elders that you had to rescue in Spyro 1, They changed the name headbash to horn dive(stupid name for the headbash),unlimited amount of gems which is stupid since the original three never had that making it worth while in those games to collect gems, gems had more detail and were shinyer, because of this stupid game most people nowadays have never even heard of the original spyro games.

Cool!

This game was bought for our 6 year old gamer in the family. Initially the first Spryo game we bought was for my hubby, but our 6 year old pretty much "confiscated" his privileges to play it once the controller was in her hands. She LOVES Spyro (so much so she wants her bedroom painted with Spyros all over the walls) and she has all the Spyro games for the NGC. Even though she doesn't grasp the concept of quests etc. entirely, and her reading skills are improving (not necessarily due to the game(s)), she enjoys blasting, head-butting and pouncing and making Spyro do all the fascinating things the controller will allow him to do. As far as the learning factor, it's a game; it can be mind numbing as well as a teaching tool. Apart from the simple act of enhancing a child's imagination, on the whole it is an outlet. She gets to play it on the weekends after all her homework is completed and chores are done, sort of like a reward. Since she loves it so much, and continues going back to it, and as I really don't mind the content (cute music and backgrounds, cute characters with personalities to match and not a terrible lot of violence - basically what can be expected of a game with a cute dragon and dragonfly, peppered with villains and quests to fulfill), I give it a pretty good rating.
