I'm sorry to have to concur with other reviews I've seen here - I only wish I'd read them before I bought the game. I could make a sandwich in the time it takes to load the game, or warp between realms. The graphics and character movement? Choppy & non-responsive, if the game doesn't freeze up in the interim -- it's incredibly annoying. I'm going back to Ripto's Rage so I can recall what drew me to the Spyro arena in the first place.
I love Spyro! But the last two were better.

I'll keep this simple. Nothing really new, but why change a great game? I loved all the Spyro games especially the last two and I hope another one comes out someday! PLEASE?
However, I could not complete the game 100% (all the dragonflies) to beat the final boss and it irritated me. It was the level where you have the time limit to kill all the bees...I just can't do it and there are no cheats(for the desperate)so I would rate the last two games as better.
Ok if it's cheap

Spyro Enter the dragonfly the forth edition of the Spyro series (on major consoles), but is it all that good?
Spyro Enter the dragonfly or Spyro 4
début in 2004 on PS2 and Game Cube as the sequel to Spyro 3 Year of the dragon. In this game Spyro's top foe Ripto and his henchmen Crush and Gulp return to take the dragonflies, the sours of the dragon's power, then with the dragons powerless he could take over the Dragon Realms. For troughs that have played Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimer/Ripto's Rage, Ripto did die sinking in laver and Crush and Gulp were also defeated, but hay, it's a game, anything can happen.
Spyro 4 is good enough for me, it's simple yet fun and challenging, the graphics are better than before, smooth edges on things e.g. Faces and you'll be stunned by the water (so realistic). You may notice some bad graphics like Ripto and Moneybags mouths, Ripto's is to wide an Moneybag's moves at the wrong time, this is due to technical problems and because it was made quickly for the holidays, if you are like me and are not mad about graphics it shouldn't matter, anyway there aren't to many bad ones. Unlike in previous games, witch was set around 3 or more home worlds or hubs and about 6 realms. In Spyro 4 there is only 1 very large hub with 9 large realms, containing speedways, vehicle rounds and challenges, but I won't tell you the names of the realms, that up to you to find out! You use flame breath and 3 new breaths, Ice, Electric and Bubble breath, the last one `bubble breath', is used to catch dragonflies. There are many more new abilities, vehicles and missions to explore.
To concluded, it's not perfect but yes it is worth it!
I did not know there was another Spyro game.

I have beaten the first three Spyro games. So far the third one is better than the second one. The second one is better than the first one. I don`t know about the fourth one. I`ll tell you later about the game. All I can say is that I was thinking at first it had 5 worlds because in 2 and 3, the game had a certain number of worlds that was one more than the version of the game. So that means Spyro 2: Ripto`s Rage had three worlds: Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra, while Spyro: Year of the Dragon (it was made in 2000, which is the year of the dragon)
had four worlds, Sunrise Spring, Midday Gardens, Evening Lake, and Midnight Mountain. I do not know the exact amount of worlds in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, but I`ll come back to that one.
For know, I could be thinking this is 4 stars.
i cant belive this.

spyros latest installment enter the dragonfly is not developed by insomniac and now theres a terrible result of a game because of that. its all too disappointing the game is bland and dull featuring a vareity of horribly crafted color and a pukeworthy storyline. it opens up at a party outside the castle. the younger dragons are going to be given dragonf7lies. but ripto arrives and steals them all. weve seen this done like 65 times before in a platform game and its getting pretty boring. plus mechanical problems you name em this game has them a-z. the glitches are very bad youll have unbelivabely stressful moments trying to get the controller work propery. sometimes youll even squeeze the thing because it pauses automaticly on random occasins adleast with me. the framerate is terrible too sometimes spyro will charge and hell stop for no reason and the camera will zoom in on you and stop the charge. the collect em all objectives are getting more frustrating. and the stupid breath attacks are usless and add nothing to the game. the music is a bunch of soft child freindly trash each portal has a lulavbying gling to the sound. and dont even say load this game takes forever to load. youll sit there helplessy bored out of your mind. its like the waiting room experince in a ps2 game and ocassionly it will freeze up causing you to lose your progress unless you saved the game prior to the event. everything feels so slow and choppy. if youre an adult and have kids that are thirsting for games get this. but as far all the rest of us enter the dragonfly is no option. try rachet and clank or jak and daxter as both are many times better than this game.
