Different in a good way!

This is a real time strategy, which truly simulates both warfare and business. It has a very cynical and violent plot, but it is presented in a humorous way. Basically if you like watching the Sopranos this game is for you. It runs pretty good, the graphics is excellent and the sounds are funny. It does not lack features, in other words there is a lot to do. The strange thing about it, which some might not like is the fact that you have a boss, who tells you exactly what to do. I personally like this feature. It is limiting in a way, but it also helps you get some guidance and set your goals. I would recommend this game to all fans of RTS games. It is worth the ...$$!

Classic and Addictive

This is a great simulation for those gamers that like strategy, action and building things. It is very addictive and challenging. The graphics are very good (but it does run under 800X600 - which doesn't look as good on a monitor with native 1024x768 resolution)

The only disapointment is that there aren't more missions to complete. The manual is more helpful than most but I would still recommend that players check out gametalk.com and go to the Mob Rule forum to get some assistance and cheats - this will minimize the frustration of trying to figure out how to accomplish each mission and control all your characters effectively.

The game also runs well under Win98, and ME but not under Windows 2000 (it will cause your CPU usage to go up to 100%, causing the game to jerk and slow).

THE BEST MOB GAME EVER MADE FOR YOUR PC !!

When I first bought the game, I was a little skeptical. It was actually the first PC game I ever bought. The original edition was made around 2000-2001.

The gameplay is different from the newer pc games, because it's more or less formatted like an "old school" video game.

The controls are easy to navigate with your keyboard OR mouse, the movement is simple but amusing because of the comedic element, the missions are hard enough to get your attention but they aren't so hard to where you get frustrated. It's challenging while entertaining.

MACMILLAN Mob Rule Platinum (Windows)The sound effects are hilarious and the "underlined sex, drugs and violence" themes are totally intriguing while being hilarious. I laugh the whole time I play this game. When it first came out, I paid around $50 or $60 for it *if i'm not mistaken* and I'm about to buy it again, because I lost it in the last move I made.

One of the BEST DISCONTINUED GAMES EVER!

I LOVE IT!

the games good and its worth the money also, but in lots of places it gets so frustrating expecialy in the middle of the game
where all your buildings start falling down but there should be more to the game like add ons and stuff but its fun.

The game is pretty fun, but you are never really allowed to just build an empire and play. The "Boss" always has very specific goals for you to reach and at times the game doesn't recognize that the goal has been reached and you have to start completly over.

Great game, not enough of it

This reminds me of Jurassic Park III, you have an entertaining thing and then it suddenly ends without any sort of closure. I sat with my mouth open wide when the game ended. Why? Why did it have to end? Why aren't there expansion packs? WHY?!!?! *sniff* Oh well, back to Legos...

I wanted to be an emperor of the underworld, but....

Though I would like to play it freely--to attack enemies whenever I wish or to expand turfs--I had to do exactly what the Godfather said. Throughout the scenario, I strongly wished that I could carry a coup d'etat against that man. But, after all, I should end up with one of his lieutenants because of its setting.
The game itself was fun and worth playing.

This game would have been much better if you were able to play freely against the computer. Unfortunately, you end up as a lieutenant for the godfather and he gives you tasks to carry out. You are only able to move forward in the game once you have completed the tasks.

Worth the money but could have been a lot better.
