Ok, in general the game is awseome, although indy doesn't quite look real its pretty close. The graphics are good but there are some glitches. As a reply to the 12 year old gamer the gore is nothing. I mean its basically just one small splot of blood and as for the clutching of the chest I do the same myself when I accidentally choke on some lead from one of Indys numerous weapons. Also the rating is T for teen in other words 13 or 14 not 12!!!!!!! geez. Anyways the puzzles are fun although suspicously the same idea kinda. Luchas arts got thier history wrong though, Nebechnazzar was way after the tower of babel. Nimrod built the tower about 500 years or so later. But oh well its just a game!
There are many places where you get frustrated and quit for a hour but inevitably return, solve the puzzle, and look back and call your slef 30 different types of a moron. The game is great the only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is the history but thats moot the gameplay is awseome, anyone who likes games this a great edition. Oh an by the way 12 year old gamer dude im 14.

Basically if you like Tomnb Raider, you'll like The Infernal machine. This game follows very closely the mould of Tomb Raider - jump to platforms, swim in water, solve puzzles, shoot enemeies. There are a few new additions such as the whip and chalk, but this game is very similar to Tomb Raider. Some may dismiss it as a "copy", but if you like Tomb Raider you'd be silly to turn your nose up at this.
In some ways The Infernal Machine beats the Tomb Raider series, namely in the inventivness of the puzzles. It's clear that a lot of thought went into some of them. Contrary to some reviewers, I didn't find all of them "infururiating" and with some patience and a degree of trial and error most puzzles should become apparent. Although I did have to resort to a walkthrough on a couple of occasions.
What I don't like about Infernal Machine is the combat. Auto aim is decidedly unpredicatble and you can have an enemy in close visual range and still not be able to hit him due to the quirky auto aim. There's also an annoying 2 second delay when Indy draws a weapons or tries to change weapons. Reaksitic maybe but considering that your opppnents don't suffer form ths time delay it can seem a bit unfair. I also wished for a kind of "quick roll and face in the opposite direction" move but the best Indy can do is run away and then do a quick turn, all very frustrating in the middle of combat.
Good fun overall, and there is certainly a sense of adventure to be had.
Too Hard

Without all the gamer equipment, I find this game too difficult to play with a touch pad mouse. I even disabled some attack features and it's still frustrating to play, even with a cheats guide. There are different levels of skill available but even the easiest is difficult. Failure to be able to save within a section requires complete replay to eventually get through it. I'm not a spastic, but this is not fun anymore.
Excellent Game!

I am a big fan of Indiana Jones, and this is the GREATEST game I've ever played! The
Graphics are awesome, the story is great, and the locations are wonderfully done!
It starts out with Indy in the South West, when he meets an old friend, Sophia Hapgood! Here,
he learns of Commies searching for a powerful machine that could bring destruction to the
world! From there on, it's a race to save the Earth from evil, AGAIN! The game spans over
many exotic lands and many treasures to find! All on his one search to uncover the secrets, of
the Infernal Machine!
Good Job Lucas! Two thumbs up!
The Best Game Ever!

I really like anything Indy related so when I heard about this game for pc I was pretty excited. Although I can't really be all that acuurate because I haven't played the whole game, I'll do my best.
The first level was pretty easy (just remember that Indy can jump 20 feet across and you'l do fine.) It was the second level that got me. I started shootin' the commies and the realism really bugged me. I was expecting "shoot'm and they vaporize' you know? Well this was really relistic. I'm glad I rented before I bought it because it was to bloody. The commies, when there hit with a bullet, go UGHHHHhhh and clutch there chest, and the blood was to realistic. It was three times as worse as 007 James Bond and I dont mind 007 much. I also like all the war movies and am not sqeumish about blood.
I was afraid the infernal machine was some wierd magic thing but I was wrong there. It actually sticks to the Bible pretty well (not that theres much to go on). The only thing it adds is that there might be something else inside it.( the Infernal Machine).
The controls were pretty good, although the game DOESN'T have somersaults and rollovers.
Bottom line: If you don't mind blood and you do like Indy, then Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is for you ( although I won't be playing it.)
Wonderful

Personally, I loved this game. But I can't tell the difference between regular Infernal Maachine and Archive Infernal Machine...
Oh, well. I did enjoy the puzzles that this game had, but my least favorite part were spiders. The spiders (in the game, obviously) are about the size of a small, monitor screen. Plus, they just come out and surprise you! If you see a spider web (looks like icicles hanging from a door-way) look UP! If you don't, they will surprise you. If you're a fan of the Monkey Island series, type in F10, makemeapirate, then use the bazooka.
This is definatly a classic game, and I would reccomend buying it, but not if you have arachnphobia! (I also liked the inflatable row-boat...)

I loved this game, don't get me wrong or anything, but I gave it four stars because this game lacks one thing: Being Able to pass some bosses without using the cheats. They really made this game too difficult, and I must mention the lava monster- that was virtually impossible until I used my cheats, and once you use your cheats you know the game is not the best it could be!
Graphics: 3.5/5 Stars. Not the greatest graphic's but not the worst. Pretty Good.
Sound 4/5 Stars. The sound is great except that the actual Indy theme is not used that much. Usually when you whip across from place to place and when you accomplish something. (not the full theme, part of the theme only)
Game Play 2.5/5 Stars. As I mentioned before, some levels are impossible without the Strategy Guide, so better buy one with the game! That's how these people make their money! (makes me mad)
One more thing that made me upset was that the character in the game doesn't really resemble our true hero "INDIANA JONES" (Harrison Ford), only in some cut out scenes, otherwise his nose is too big and his shoulders too sticky and his head too big for his body! Looks more like pink panther!
In all, this game is worth buying, but if you want a real good game, take my word, buy Max Payne, Indy will dissapoint you and you will write the same review.
This game will keep you entertained at times, but expect to put it down and move on with more modern games!
