My title says it all. This game was one of the high points of my childhood. I remember playing the orginal Doom at a friends house when I was about 7, and then rushing home to download the shareware version with my dad, saving up my money, and buying the full version of The Ultimate Doom. I still have that CD. It's better than this.
Pros: All 3 Doom games in one package.
Only $10 (At Wal-Mart, it's $15 elsewhere)
Doom 3 trailers, but then again, Doom 3 has been out for months now, so it's hardly necessary
Cons: No special jewel case
No manuals
No special add-ons, new software, or information
Only 1 CD. I would have preferred a different CD for each game
Nothing extra. NOTHING.
This package could have been a lot better if it had contained the following: Jewel cases, multiple CD's, extra information on the Doom series, mods, and manuals. I would have gladly paid $50 for it.
I'm also having some trouble installing it. I have an orginal Pentium that I tried installing it on, but apparantly I need Direct X 8. For what, I have no idea, but it won't support it. Beware if you want to play on an older PC. I installed it on my Windows XP machine, and I can't even get the mouse to work. Also, I beleive that the Doom 95 Interface is complete crap. It's way of launching games has never worked for me, and the backgrounds of my desktop often bleed through.
One other problem. The music sounds a lot tinnier than I remember it. Maybe I'm remembering wrong... but it sounded so much nicer before.
In the end, it's worth the $10 I spent on it, but it could have been so much more.

DOOM, DOOM2 and Final DOOM are not the best games you can find right now, but they support numerous mods, ports, levels, etc...
The best thing to do with your doom is to add jDoom engine to it + 3D models (you can find these on jDoom's homepage) - jdoom.newdoom.com. Also supply it with The Darkening: Episode 2, and it will look like Quake2 or better! For classic doom you should try these: Eternal DOOM 3 (from TeamTNT), WolfenDOOM, GoldenEye TC and AliensTC - awesome mods. Try em all!
where's the final doom?

this game pack saddly to say is incompleat it doesn't include final doom.
That is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
final doom was released about 5 years ago in limited quantities and if it had been part of this pack it would be a true collectors edition. If you get this pack try to find the final doom to have the compleat doom series.
maybe write to activision to get them to release a true collectors set.
Doom could pixelated blood be any more fun?

When I was about five my brother was constantly talking about Doom.Even though it was innapropriate for my age I defied my parents orders (dictators) and flicked on the sega in the basement. So nine years later I see it on sale for pc with Doom 2 and final doom not to mention a mouth watering demo of doom 3. Even though it seemed corny from what i remembered It was terriffic . How? even with terrible graphics and sound It was actually fun unlike splinter cell. Just blood guts and aleins such a low form of art yet again it was great. From the time when games where fun not just idiodic graphical amazement

This is indeed the start of a new DOOM hype! Add to that the realease of DOOM for the GBA and DOOM III (code named) in the making, life cannot get any better than this! I am an avid DOOM freak and will definitely get this at least for nostalgic purposes. Keep DOOMing!
A Classic!!!

Anyone who immediately fell in love with the Doom series when it first came out will love the return to the fun that this bundle brings. Perfect for those rainy days when you don't feel like getting involved in a serious game, but want to vent your boredom. I'm still in love with Doom!!!

I just bought this game yesterday and I was very pleased. I purchased it only for the final doom [ since it was the only one I didn't already have].I find all of the dooms very challenging[ unless you're a wimp that puts on I'm too young too die or uses cheats like a sissy]. I put my skill level on either hurt me plenty or ultra violence for super carnage, I'll do nightmare every once in while. I personally like the final doom for its 64 levels amd all the baddies on EACH level[ including the first one]. (...)I give this game a thumbs up. This colletors edition is worth the money.
what is the edition of doom2 in it?

This was THE game series back in the 90's and they are id software's bestselling games so far, quickly followed by Quake. The graphics and sound need work, but the game is playable and fun. This classic is cheap and you won't find it for a better price. I love it, it is even on one cd for your convenience. Hoghly recommended.
