When this game arrived at my house, I put it into the computer and a screen came up that said play, options, and something else. I did not say install, and it was supposed to. I called up echnical support, went online, nadda, nothing. The worst $20 I ever spent. Avoid this problem by avoiding this product. Don't let it happen to you. I recommend you get City of Heroes instead. Now theres a fun game.
ok game but really been there, done that

This game is not badly developed however it suffers from under equipping the player against the enemies. You are not given any good weapons and you dont have much ammunition, yet there are countless enemies you must deal with. I played the game with the ammo and weapons cheat enabled giving me unlimited ammo and all the available weapons and I still died. Another thing is that everything here is nothing much more than a rehash of the same things as alien vs predator the original. If you never played the alien vs. predator games before than yeah, you may find it enjoyable and fun. Me, I was more bored with it than anything else.
Better everything

This game is definitely an upgrade from the original Aliens vs Predator PC game. I'm not talking just graphics, game engine, sound, etc, I'm also talking plot, atmosphere, action. The game has cutscenes, dialogues that can be overheard, all these help contour the scenario. There's even a few interesting twists in the plot along the way.
This fps is definitely worth owning
Has some glitches, but is a worthwhile experience

As a big fan of both the Alien and Predator movies, I was very excited to get my hands on this game. I was particularly happy about the opportunity to play as three distinct species in three campaigns that were all related parts of the same story. Whether you're a freaked-our marine, a stealthy predator, or a slimy xenomorph, this game has it all. The single player campaigns are very short, but the online play is great. AvP2 does seem to be a system hog on lower-end machines, but this is a must have for FPS fans everywhere.

This game is a blast to play with friends and family. My friends and I have been playing the 2nd version now for a couple years. The game is great in single player, but it is incredible in multiplayer. It will make your heart pound and if you get a good Alien or Predator player, they will probably scare the bajeebers out of you when they attack from behind. It is sad that it was about ten dollars in 2004 and now scalpers are over charging for it. Is it a great game? You bet! Is it worth sixty-four or more dollars? NO WAY! Besides shop around. A buddy of mine found it much cheaper elsewhere by searching the internet. We have a shooter game night every Thursday and this is a favorite standby still. Although there are certainly games with better graphics now, this one still holds up nicely in the decent graphics, great action, good music, and excellent scare factor.
STUPENDOUS!!!

How to describe this game? BADASS! As a young boy I had wanted to play the first one for so very long but alas, my computer was not exactly "amazing" and it didn't even have a 3D card to support any "new" games so once my family finally got a new computer (a couple months ago) I came across Alien vs. Predator 2 which I had also wanted to play for quite some time. I downloaded the demo, not expecting much from a game that was a couple years old; I mean how good can the graphics be??? I put the settings as high they could go and was stunned...the graphics held up with today's! As I pressed the button that read "Single Player" I found out I was allowed to be the Marines, Aliens, and the Predators! Who would've guessed?!...OK...maybe you...but come on work with me here! Anyways, the demo allowed you to play one level as each species and then after I had beaten each level...A LOT...I downloaded the OTHER single player demo that was off of the Sierra site. I STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN IT! True I haven't played the full game and the fact that my internet stinks of suckiness also means I have not played multiplayer but I can tell you this much: playing as the Marines is totally scary! You will find yourself jumping out of your seat. Picture this: you're playing late at night, no lights on, by yourself, when all of a sudden a dark figure lunges at you from the shadows! There's a lot more to it than just that but words cannot describe the atmosphere of the game! It's truly scary stuff...O_O...being an Alien however, makes you feel like a lion in his kingdom! You feel so devilishly lethal. Aliens cannot use weapons but for God's sakes, do they really need them?!?! It's so damn fun climbing up ceilings, an unwitting marine below you, you pounce on him tearing him to shreds...so insanely evil! ^_^ Being the Predator is being God in a way; you feel so invincible! Cloaking device, unlimited medcomp kits, unlimited energy sifts, and an arsenal of badass weaponry that would put "Dubbya" to shame! Harpooning heads from a distance and then having them fly into the canyon behind the bodies is ridiculous!!! WHAT OTHER GAME HAS THAT?!?! None, that's what! Anyways, I hear good things from the multiplayer mode although the number of players is supposedly decreasing due to other online shooters (ex. Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942, etc.) and with the release of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero slowly approaching, it may hurt a lot more. But don't let multiplayer discourage you, this edition comes with both "Alien vs. Predator 2" and it's expansion, "Primal Hunt". "Primal Hunt" never really got the "greatest" reviews but the price of this bundle is ridiculously cheap for such a great game as AVSP 2!!! Plus I also have a feeling that once the Alien vs. Predator movie is released on 08.06.04, this game will start getting big again! I know what I'm putting on my Chanukah list! CIAO!!! ;-)
fantastic, a must have

Even after beating this game several years ago, this remains as my all time favorite shooter (yes, I like it more than Halo.). The game not only offers a fantastic, twisting story, but also some of the most impressive level design I've ever seen. Choose your side, (marine, alien-aka xenomorph, or predator) and let the fun begin. All three species offer different levels, weapons, and play style, which will ultimatly appeal to everyone. As a marine, the game plays a lot like the alien movies (the second one in paticular), in that you will often feel very scard and creeped out through-out many of the levels, runing from predators, killing aliens, and ultimatly being very frightened, with your heart racing at the end of every level. As the predator, the game loses it's scare factor, in turn making you feel like the master of your domain, with a wide variety of gadgets and weapons to slaughter your enemies (sorry, "prey") with. No longer are you the scared and lonly marine, but instead a stealthy killing machine with the tools to handle any job. The alien missions, though, are very different from the others, in the sense that you begin life as a "face hugger", impregnate a human and become a "chest burster" and finially evolve to your final form, the dreaded alien creature featured in the movie Alien. As the alien, you will probably find your self moving very stealthily through most of the game, choosing your moments to strike. With the ability to crawl on walls and ceilings, the alien missions can get a little disorenting, but you realy wouldn't be much of an alien if you couldn't cling to walls. Why do I still play the game after beating it? you ask. Doesn't the single player get boring after a while? you ask. Well the answer is yes, the single player does get boring after you beat it with all the species, and there is little-to-no replay value for the game. The reason I (and many others) continue to play this game is because of the incredable online play (which is VERY easy to use and compleatly free of charge!) Multiplay for this game is a master piece you need to experience. weather its a multi-species death match on a huge map, or an "evac" game in close quarters, this game is the difinitive online shooter experience, with dozens of multiplayer modes. Something no shooter, alien, or predator fan can afford to miss.
Three species, one goal.....survive!

Awesome game. The graphics are astonishing. Any PC gamer that is a fan of either (or both) the Alien or Predator series would enjoy this game. This is definately one of those "play it in the dark for full effect" type games. It is amazing how realistic it seems when played over 5.1 surround sound. You would swear there was an alien or predator sneaking up on you. Gameplay is easy to learn, and multiplayer battles are intense. It doesn't get much more interesting than playing an alien and dropping from the ceiling down on your prey and ripping it to shreds and replenishing your life by feeding off their corpse, or playing a pred and ambushing your target and collecting their head as a trophy, or even taking charge of an arsenal of powerful armaments as a colonical marine and tearing the competition apart. Very intense combat. The inclusion of the Primal Hunt expansion only makes this package better. 3 new versions of the classic species and new weapons/missions only add to the fun.
EXCELLENT!!!

I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF VIDEO GAMING,BUT I BOUGHT THIS ONE BECAUSE I LOVED THE MOVIES. NOW I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE GET HOOKED ON GAMING. THE GRAPHICS ARE EXCELLENT AND THE MISSIONS ARE GREAT. I PLAY EASY MODE AND FIND IT CHALLENGING DUE TO MY LACK OF GAMING EXPERIENCE. IF YOU WANT TO GET LOST IN STATEGIC COMBAT FOR HOURS THIS IS YOUR TICKET.
I AM CURRENTLY ON ONE OF THE HIGHER LEVELS OF BEING THE ALIEN AND IT IS GREAT. I WILL TRY THE PREDATOR AND COLONIAL MARINE AT A LATTER DATE. I COULD SPEND A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO COMPLETE THE MISSIONS ON THIS GAME.
THIS ONE IS NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH OR THE PACIFIST TYPE. THE BACKROUND MUSIC IS GREAT FOR THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE HUNT.
A GREAT FEATURE IS THE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY, LAN AND INTERNET PLAYING. VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PURCHASE.
Still my favorite after over a year and a half

Lets face it with most games we play them and get tired of them quickly. I have done so with games like raven shield, master of orion, etc., etc. This one especially the online Primal Hunt is still a favorite of mine probably because its really three different games in one. By choosing to play as marine, alien, or Predator the whole feel of it changes. For those that enjoy the Alien & Predator movies its a must.
