First the most important - I have an average computer but with 4 Gigs of RAM and the loading times are not an issue!!! Get more RAM!!!
How good is the game? Right after finishing it the first time I started playing again from the beginning! Never did that before!
The game may not be perfect but it is unusual enough and dark enough to become my favourite RPG (I played many- Gothic2, Morrowind, Baldurs Gate). The best thing about this game is that it really is for mature players and the developers are not trying to be politically correct. I am actually playing the european version that has some nudity and even though it doesn't influence the gameplay it just makes it more fun.
Everything that needed to be written about the game has been written in other reviews- the game is simply just a bit better than everything else out there PERIOD!
Now buy it!

This is a fantastic RPG if your computer can handle it. You need a rather high end video card and CPU to even play it so check out the specs before you buy it.
The little things add up.

while this game looks vary nice and has great action movies between game play this game is not the best one I have seen. The movement controls cluncky, and getting to move while in combat is even harder. And sometimes it is vary hard to see things in the game becouse of the camera angles. There seems to be a lot of bugs too. I downloaded three patches for the game and it did only little to fix things. Not only that but when I put the patch on. The screen jumps when ever I would try to move around, all the time it never stopped! And then there is the pop-up menu eveytime you pick something up is has to open this big screen to tell you that you have picked it up, instead of just having text to confirming you have it in your bags. I know what your thinking. This is a bad game. Well normally I might side with that, but in this case this game has all of the right stuff. It just came up short for some reason. I hope they get all the bugs worked out so everyone who did buy this game can have a great time with it. I hope you find this use full.

Has some merits but pales in comparison to Morrowind\Oblivion, Dungeon Siege, Lion Heart, etc. Its obvious the creators have opted for glitz over substance. My suggestion? Save your $55.00 + replay Diablo. Far more fun and satisfying without the obvious performance and technical issues. When the 1.2 patch for this game is about 115 mb's its obvious there are some serious technical flaws.

I can't believe it, for an interactive game, this game is great there is only one other game that seemed to capture my attention like this game and it was Star Wars Sith RPG.
The graphics on this game are unbelievable and it the story is really good as well. I haven't finished this game yet but there are some suggestive intimate areas in this game so if you are thinking about buying this game for a child or a friend just keep that in mind.
I am running a AMD dual core 6000+ processor with 4 gig of memory and vista 64 bit OS, my motherboard has on board video witch is pretty strong as far as on board video goes but when I loaded the game it just sent me back an error and said, "uhh not today" Well I ordered a ATI Radeon 3870 with 512 meg and this game runs well now. I do get an error that crashes the game from time to time so i save often. I hear that this problem should be fixed with the 1st service pack for Vista so we shall see. I am overclocking my mother and found out that this could be an issue, I haven't reset my settings to normal yet but I will, So if you are running Vista beware of the possible problems. From what I understand XP has no issues so that's a great thing for XP users.
Game play is great for this game and to do battle is just to much fun, make sure you pay attention to everything because you never know what you will find.
I really hate paying full price for a game but for this one I haven't regreted it.

It reminds me a bit of Prince of Persia, but much, much better. You've got to have a good system to run it or it's going to run really slow, but if you've got a halfway decent system it's fantastic! I highly recommend it.
Finally a RPG written for the PC....

How many people remember playing PC games because they were written for players interested in mature themes? Well this game is a step back in the right direction - but it ain't perfect.
Pros: Beautiful artwork, both attactive & ugly themes, fun side games, & an easy but fun char tree. Combat can be a challenge.
Cons: Choppy \ jerky animation, it's a combat click-fest, you'll reload trying to beat the "boss" so many times you'll forget the good stuff. Crashes during cut-scene change outs. Crappy camera controls. Looks like this one was going to be NWN2 at some point - shares a lot of the same annoyances I had with that game. Funny tho - I uninstalled that game for this one.
I had a tough time staying objective with this review I'm so frustrated at this point. I'm either going to go mad trying to finish (the game) without smashing my mouse or I'm going to sell it back.
Oblivivion was good.....but this one's GREAT !

Besides a few minor quirks - depends on your rig.
A few crashes here and there - "Like what PC game is ammuned to that"?
"The Witcher" with an engrossing story - " You mean game companies are actually starting to bring this element back"?
A different,yet fun battle system - "Suprise..NO DIALO CLONE #1 billion"
In a word........"BRILLIANT"!!
*Note to other RPG game developers - " FOR THE LOVE ALL THAT'S ORIGINAL ,
PLEASE DO NOT CLONE THIS GAME" !!!!!

I actually give it 3-4 stars overall. I can't change the stars in edit mode.
I bought this based off the reviews on Amazon. The reviews seem to be fluffed up and I don't know why.
At first, it defaulted to a diablo/neverwinter style point-and-click to move and attack style game. This is why I originally wrote a bad review. I found that this game has 3 view modes that you can use to play. Far away, mid-range and over the shoulder. (there are technical names but lets keep it simple) I highly recommend OTS mode. It's practically firstperson and there's far less lag and buggy movement. You'll still have some frustration with having to run exactly through the door or you sort of collide with the door frame or going up steps should be way smoother but it slows you down if you come near an edge. Even though you can't fall, it stops your character like you got caught on something or walked into a phantom wall.
In OTS mode, I hoped for better hair on our hero but it's a little too stiff for my taste. Although the detail in your characters gear and weapons are pretty good, it's obvious they had to make cuts somewhere.
Combat - not that bad. You have chain attacks that allow you fair time to click when your sword icon is on fire. It doesn't flash on and off so fast that you can't possibly make a chain like the arrows in Jericho or the quick keys in RE4. If you click at the right time, you chain your attacks for more damage. You are forced to evade and time your strikes because if the enemy strikes first, it stops your attack. It makes you plan your attack and this is good.
Minigames are pretty simple. Not too elaborate and quick. Dice, drinking games and one more that slips my mind.
The voice acting is bland but not enough to lower my score. There isn't much emotion in the characters voices. (please learn from NOLF and NOLF2) ha
Magic is a simple right click and hotkeyed to your 1-5 keys. I liked that as well. hotpick a magic and fry one guy then change to force/wind and knock another off his feet. And there are final strikes too if you time it right to include decapitation. Bonus points!
Items can be stacked such as potions that are shown on your crest in the top left of the screen so if a potion wears off, you can tell. Food seemed pointless since it only allowed you to gain a sliver of health.
I'm not sure if it's worth $50 but maybe $40.
