This is a fun game for those who don't want to "shoot" things or blow things up. It's a great old arcade game. It can be as challenging as you want it to be.
Timeless game

This game is old school but it's addictive and fun. I love the WiFi feature which allows you to play either your friends or people from around the globe. It even keeps track of rankings and you can compare your ranking with people online at the Nintendo WiFi site.
This game comes with 6 different single player modes and the multiplayer mode allows you to play up to 9 other people on a single cartridge.
Fun, but could have used a few more updates

If you love Tetris, this is for you. Its classic Tetris at its finest. If you like Tetris, get this if you like to reminisce. There are some added features, like a giant version you can use your stylus with, and a puzzle version where you have 3 pieces and must remove all the blocks with only those three. The vs mode was not all that great though... pushing each other into fire and trying to build lines off of a single floating block. All in all: fun. Just wait until there is a sale. 29.99 is a little much to pay for a game that's been around for 20 years.
One of the best Tetris ports for a handheld

If you're like me and grew up with the NES, this game will bring back memories. Nintendo has done a good job weaving zelda, metroid, and mario into a traditional Tetris game. The wi-fi capability allows you to compete against other players who, it seems, have far more time than I to practice (I almost always lose...).
Overall this game is good for a quick diversion.

This IS Tetris as you've seen it before.
It's the same game, same concept but different backgrounds.
The backgrounds are quite distracting but that's what adds to the fun.
I was doing pretty good on the hard 'mission' game type when I 'drifted' off to watch link for a second and I messed up!!!
Quite fun!
While there are different Tetris minigames in this one, it's still the same ol fun Tetris a lot of us grew up on.
Unfortunately, I don't think this game has the classic Tetris soundtrack anywhere...
It's totally not needed though. That soundtrack is still permanently etched in my head from hearing it over and over again during Spring Break road trips!!!
The 'puzzle' game is VERY fun and it has a Yoshi theme.
It's my favorite after a couple days with the game.
Push is fun but would be better against a human opponent.
If you have access to another human Tetris fan, the game's worth buying to play 'push' in versus mode.
In short, you can't go wrong with Tetris.
One thing I don't like is the puzzle piece shadow that shows on the bottom of your 'drop line.'
It brought more challenge w/o the shadow line.
I used to think it was funny when I dropped a piece in the wrong place b/c I thought I was in a different row... it was a rush (I know you guys remember that rush when it happened near the top of the screen... it sucked but it was funny!!)

As an avid tetris fan I was still not anticipating how entertaining this game would be. There are many different gaming styles and activities. My personal favorite is the puzzle mode. There are stylus modes, push button modes etc... I would highly reccommend this game to any tetris fan.

I'm not a gamer, I guess I'm just too old for all the new stuff coming out. But I love going to back to what is familiar.

So much fun. I suck horribly at tetris, but some of the puzzle modes are fun and challenging. I got the game for my wife... The only other game she'll play anymore is Cooking Mama, but that's not too often. You can select your opening music, but not your music during the game :(. Other than that, it's great fun.
Addicting beyond belief

This game is a lot of fun (and it's HIGHLY addicting), but for what it is, it shouldn't cost so much money.
This version comes with a bunch of other variations of Tetris, but honestly, the only ones I ever play besides the standard version is Touch (where you use the Touch Screen to move blocks) and Puzzle. That's not very good considering there are probably 4 other variations. I think the other games are kind of irritating; Catch is especially aggravating.
Standard version is verrrrry addicting. It's so much fun that you won't realize you're playing for a long time. Also, the music is fun and fast-paced, not annoying.
I recommend this game, but try to find the best price before buying-- it's not worth 30 bucks.
