Yes, As well as the other reviewer, I am a watcher of Adam Sessler, and Morgan Web. The game Shadow of Rome does look promising, but please dont forget, this is a preview, not a review. You virtually obtain 2 characters, one of which is a stealth blonde boy character who prefers the quieter side of killing. While your counter part is a gladiator like worrior who is you lack and slash, brute force killer. The game includes chariot races while at the same time killing your enemies, as well as puzzles. I say try this one out, it looks to be a very interesting and fun adventure.
A MASTERPIECE

Hey, Just like to brief you Roman Empire fanatics about Shadow of Rome. The game play is really smooth and clear. The graphics are sweet and very textured. Dudes you can see the strands of hair in the wolves. Played it for 5 hours straight and not one glitch.
The characters are a little bit buff up "exaggerated"; however, still present great texture and movement throughout the screen.
I thought the double character feature would confuse the story line, but on the contrary it's very clear with in depth details. It's a cool feature to have. One second your brutally cutting limbs off...5 minutes later your in stealth mode...next thing you know, your in a chariot race. The diverse game play gives you aspects of many genres of videogames. (GTA, Resident Evil, Metal Gear).
It's true Rome wasn't built in a day, and if you enjoy playing a game that will last you a long time, you'll also see that Shadow of Rome can't be won in a day. You are getting your $$ worth with this game.
Folks, be prepared to join S.R.A. (Shadow of Rome Anonymous) because this game is addictive.
Great Game,
Highly Recommended...

Friends, Romans, Gamers- lend me your controllers!! Shadow of Rome has finally been released on PS2 after much anticipation since its E3 preview. Capcom thrusts you into an all too realistic reincarnation of ancient Rome amidst the assassination of Julius Caesar setting the backdrop for a gory adventure with the direction of an empire resting on your shoulders- but not yours alone. Utilizing unique character switching Shadow of Rome enlists the brute centurion Agrippa and the brainier, shall we say slimmer, Octavianus to give the title a duality of fighting and stealth that enhances game play and the plot. I have read positive reviews for the game but some critics were unsatisfied with the stealth missions but I think they are a welcome respite to constant carnage and added a smarter edge to the game while reminding me of the Metal Gear Solid series at its finest. Besides those comments were probably because the game flat out rules and gamers were having too much fun being rambunctious with Agrippa's scenes. And they are scenes at that. The grandeur of Shadow of Rome is very cinematic, reminiscent to Ridley Scott's Gladiator, and the visually pleasing graphics give credence to this. I was pleasantly surprised with the fluidity and movement based on only screenshots I had seen but I should have known better when I found out Shadow of Rome was developed by the Onimusha team. Overall, Shadow of Rome gives the best of both worlds to gamers while it is deathly intense and well thought out it can be a classic hack-n-slash that your friends will enjoy just watching you. The only thumbs down involved with this one will be the emperors signal to kill your opponent with unabashed and merciless candor. Highest Recommendation.
I'm hooked!

For a long time I have been a great fan of Civilization style games. I have always been fascinated by ancient history and its cultures. On the other hand I have always been a huge fan of fighting games such as Street Fighter, Tekken and so on. Now, I have finally got a game that incorporates both worlds!
The game is really realistic with great characters and an interesting story. I'm totally hooked!
gotta play this game!-Instant Classic

Truly one of the best games that I have played in a while. I loved the gameplay and the way that you can play two different characters at the same time (the game will automatically switch between the 2 characters). The graphics are awesome and very deep. This game is both hack and slash and stealth. (Think Splinter Cell mixed with Ninja Gaiden). One of the best games of '05.
You gotta play this game!!!!!!!!

This is an awesome game. Everything from the graphics to the gameplay is well structured around the storyline. What was really exciting about this game was that you get to play two different characters simultaneously. (It'll switch between the two characters automatically) One character relies on brute strength while the other uses stealth to solve puzzles and missions. Because of the two character gameplay you will never get bored of this game. I was also surprised by the fluidity and movement of the game's characters. Just a great game to play and enjoy.

What are you gonna do today? Play Shadow of Rome, Gosh! SOR is a great concept and really puts itself out there to hit or miss with players by switching characters and styles of play... lucky, SOR hits the mark like a spiked mallet to the forehead. This game kicked my behind harder than a lesson at Rex Kwan Do and I have to recommend it to all of you. If this game were a chicken it would have large talons so get it on like D-Qwon, the graphics are awe inspiring, well the sequences are, the battle scenes are above average and just sneaking around Rome is pretty detailed but I really enjoyed the gameplay in general. But this game is all about the gore, blood, violence and that is where it is best at captivating attention and imagination. The only downside is that with all the untamed animals there were no Ligers to fend off or 2-player mode to give a little more replay value. Napoleon, even if you can't afford the fun-pack save up for SOR, it sure beats tetherball.
amazing!

i'm not sure if this review will be helpful but this game is just great. the whole feel of being in ancient rome is cool enough but you also get to control two characters. this idea keeps the game fresh because you don't get tired of either character and i must say the stealth missions are just as cool as the gladiator battles.(i said almost!) i dont get too hyped about videogames anymore but the makers of this game really took their time with it. the battles scenes are just amazing and rome looks magnificent. this game is a must have for any videogame fan. i put this up there with grand theft auto on the fun factor but it has more of a realistic feel to it because this is really rome down to a tee. this game is realistic and fun and i reccomend it.
Great Game! Buy It NOW

This game is very fun in this game you dont just fight the whole time you get to go through a rome and fight enemies get weapons and armor you do a story mode, dont worry this game has plenty of action and gore. The only thing that could of made it better is to be able to have two or more players (this game is only 1 player) but besides that it is very fun i recommend this game i dont think you will be dissapointed.
