Ever since playing the ds version of this game I have been a fan at the rayman series. The levels and enviroments have extrodinary color, detail, and imagination. I also love the characters and the storyline which makes this game worth every penny.

good game overall

Rayman 3 isn't bad. What are you people saying? This is a great game. You can unlock mini-games when you are bored with the game or finished it.You have power ups like the rocket launcher that if you hold the square button you can see where it'going and even control it.It has some flaws that it isn't that challenging but it still deserve's the 5 star i gave it.

Pretty but a letdown after Rayman 2

The graphis are great. The gameplay is smooth. This game is not really much of a challenge. While Rayan 2 had me on the edge of my seat this turkey was way too easy to negotiate. Hopefully if there is a Rayman 4 it will be worth the money.

A waste of money

I'm so glad that I rented this game before buying it. I was looking for a game that my son would enjoy playing or watching so I thought I would try this one.
From the very beginning the game was irritating. The game will be easy and then come to a difficult part that I had trouble understanding how they expected you to manuver it. But the worst part was the bug that kept talking. It has smart remarks that it keeps making and as a mother of a small child I did not like it. I didn't like hearing them and I surely didn't want my child picking up on saying these things to people. I don't know if you have an option in the game to turn it off or not, I didn't want to play any longer to find out.
I would rather stick to Spyro or Spongebob. Much more enjoyable.

Funny and fun!

I have this on the cube and it so funny and fun! It is short and easy sadly but it is (...)fun to replay and you may understand more jokes! Don't trust those people who say "Oh this isn'y the same as Rayman2" or "Oh this is too hard for a five year old!" I think it is a good thing that is differnt from rayman2!

Not as good as the first two

After playing both previous rayman games and loving them, I decided that rayman 3 might be a great game for my 5 year old daughter. She loves the colors and magical feel of the levels, but the game is very hard for her to maneuver. It even took me a while to get a handle on the controls. I would not recommend this game for younger players, but even for older players I would say rayman 2 is much better.

Not up to par with rayman 2

My kids love Rayman 2 so much that I've played it through (beginning to end) with them about 6 times, doing a some of the levels about 20 times.

I was bored with that, so I decided to pick up rayman 3. Big mistake! They hate it so much they wouldn't play after the first hour, and I got bored with it in about the same amount of time. I pushed forward just to see if it got better, but it really didn't.

The potential is there...

I own this game and I have to say, it SUCKS. I have not played the other Rayman games, but as a teen gamer, this is the worst action game I own. Don't bother getting it unless you're willing to spend your money for a total of 45 minutes of enjoyment. The reason why I say these things are: it's repetitive, in some places too easy or too hard, and very frustrating. The only good things are the graphics, characters, and NOT the plot. Bottom line- don't even waste your time looking at this game.

Graphics are stunning, but something's missing.

I bought Rayman 3 because I adored Rayman 2, but I felt disappointed with this game, although it has truly amazing graphics. My major complaint is that the game gets really boring and frustrating after a while, because you keep repeating the same actions again and again (fighting bosses, jumping etc.), and the storyline did not attract me.
It's more difficult than Rayman 2.. but not more attractive to play. After a while I lost the incentive to keep going.

I feel this game is mostly for children. But it is made with care, that's for sure. If you're new to this genre, and enjoy great, detailed graphics, then maybe this is something for you.

Good addition to Rayman PS2 series, oh, the colors..

Rayman 3 takes a mild leap up in game play from Rayman 2. It is very fun, VERY addictive, and kid friendly. The game is short if you blaze through it & decide not to go for 100% completion.

The GREAT:
-The colors and music are absolutely outstanding.
-The voices and dialogue are entertaining (John Leguizamos voice as Globox is classic).
-The game play is about identical to the rest of the earlier Rayman series.

The Not-so-Great:
-Same (sometimes) frustrating camera angles happen as Rayman 2.
-The 'Lock on' mechanism during a fight sometimes really messes up the camera angle if there are other non-combatants in the area.

The Bottom Line:
-Very fun, well worth the lowered price.
-As will all platformers this year, it can't hold a candle to Ratchet & Clank.
