This was the first game that my 3 1/2 year old son played. My husband and I love this game because one of us can enter or exit the game at any point without restarting the game or level. We also like the fact that if one of the players is better than the other - the lower level player will follow (and you won't be stuck in the lower level forever).
This game and both Star Wars Legos games are our favorite games that we have found for a very young player. We have a 7 year-old cousin who loves these games as well - they are good for a wide range of ages.
Our son has played this particular game on and off for about a year and he still is entertained by it.
Good Game with One huge exception

This game is very doable - my seven year old enjoyed it and i found it hard ;) but there is one section mid-way through - where you battle the great carapace - a giant sand monster and it took us an hour to get past it and i have no idea how we did. the second time around we couldn't get past it at all. The first go round, we made it to the very end of the game. This one section is not like any other part of the game - much harder without any of the tools available elsewhere - very frustrating! if anyone knows the answer, please post!!

You can play as a ton of playable characters, and each one is really something special. It's basically an adventure game that's quite difficult at first, but you can master the game after a while. I don't really know what the problem is with the boss the reviewer below me has trouble with- I got through him ok. Granted, I'm no master at the game. It has its share of tricky parts. I would recommend this game to mostly children, but adults can enjoy it too.
