Looks Can Be Deceiving

When you look at this game, you think it looks amazing, right? I mean it has all the best nickelodeon characters, they have supercool moves, and the story plot about the doomsday device sounds great, but to tell you the truth, this game isn't so hot. During movie scenes, the characters move on a loop, meaning they repeat the same motions after a few sentences, and it seems a bit weird without music, just dead silence. If you aren't playing with another person, then you have your work cut out for you. It took me (13 years old) and my cousin (11) 15 minutes to beat Mr.Crocker once (you beat him 3 times). A half hour is about how long it takes to make it through a level, and there are 12 total. I'm surprised that there was a review saying that someone beat it in 3 hours, but I'm NOT surprised that it was written by a kid (because they probably can't tell time). Constantly having to worry about your power supply is a nuisance. I can understand having a life bar, but if you are playing alone, then you are the only player who can pick up either life or health orbs (to fill the bar up again), then you might go insane. Another problem (for any impatient people like me) is that if you have to endure a cutscene once, but you die soon after that, then you can't skip it when it starts the second time. When I play a game, I get bored having to watch movies in it over and over. Seeing the movie once is fine, but if you have to watch it over and over because someone doesn't stop dying, then there's going to be a bit of frustration. Once more on the multiplayer problem, computer characters barely help you fight, and if they do, then they stand by the enemy, like their ready to give them a hug. We all know that Spongebob tends to be a bit too affectionate sometimes, but during a battle between a band of robots and a genius/moron/ghost/sponge combo, you might be better off pushing him off the side of the cliff. One good thing about the game is that you collect coins which can be used to upgrade abilities, so if you highly value Timmy Turner's magic star shooter, you can upgrade that weapon/ability. The problem with this upgrading option is that (I know it seems like I have a lot of problems with this game, but I'm really just telling the truth here)many options require a heck of a lot of coins, typically up to 600 as the highest, so you often need to replay levels for more coins, because with about 3 new abilities throughout the game for each character, your going to need some MAJOR money. Many puzzles in this game aren't so challenging which gives this game a kiddy appeal, but when fighting, especially with the major bosses of each world (Vlad isn't so bad, but Plankton takes a lot more time and strategy), you could have a tough time. If you or the person you are buying for (probably around 10 and under) enjoys playing the game more than winning, then this is a pretty good choice.

This game is really great!! It is so much fun! I wouldn't reccomend playing it by yourself, but with a friend. I even got my mom, who doesnt play many video games to play it with me, we both liked it so much that after we rented it we bought it. I liked how I could change my character, but I enjoyed being Danny Phantom best. Each character has their own unique powers. It's a great game and I would reccomend it for two or more players. Its similar to the Shrek 2 game in which it is like a one player game but there are more than one character that goes through the game. If you're looking for a great birthday present I would reccomend this game especially if the person likes The Fairy Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, Spongebob Squarepants or Danny Phantom. This game does not dissapoint. Go out and rent it, or buy and and you will see why this game is awesome.

Nickelodeon has always been popular, especially with the younger fans. Now, using the characters of some of the most popular shows on Nickelodeon, THQ has managed to make the most creative nicktoons game yet. As stated in the product description, Each supervillain is countered by their nemesis, more specifically Jimmy Neutron and the forgtful Prof. Colammitus, the evil half ghost Vlad and Danny Phantom, Spongebob Squarepants and the microscopic Plankton, and Timmy Turner and his fairy hunting teacher, Mr.Crocker. Each character, using their own special powers (magic, ghost blasts, etc.) battles along side three more nicktoons to destroy the Doomsday device, created by the villains, now calling themselves 'The Evil Syndicate'. Utilizing the characters' special powers, you must crash, smash, and destroy any evil henchmen you find throughout each of the heroes homeworlds. Upgrade each characters powers to aid you in boss battles. Explore 15 worlds and multiplayer action close to that of the Shrek 2 game. Also like Shrek 2, if there aren't four people to control the charcters, they follow you and are controlled by the game system, but you are allowed to switch to other characters not being used at that time by any other (real) players. With great artwork and cutscenes [and even a few cheats found on loads of gaming websites ;)], this game is a great deal of fun. It's sure to be a great gift for any kids this Christmas.

My kids are 11 & 8, and I love that they can play this game where they cooperate, instead of compete. They play it for hours, without any arguing! The problem is that almost everytime they play, they can't complete it, because it freezes and they have to reset it. I don't see any scratches on the disc, so we're all baffled by this problem.

This game is great but it freezes.

I like this game.The only problem is for me it freezes when you battle the giant fleabot.Aside from that this game is awsome.There are cool moves like Danny's phase shift,Spongbob's foam gloves,Timmy's star gun,Jimmy's neutron flare,and lots of other things.This game should be on your list of video games you want.

I really like. you get to play as Danny,Timmy,Spongebob,and Jimmy.you even get a whole lot of new superpowers.danny can get the move overshadow,timmy gets to freeze stuff,jimmy gets the shrink ray,and Spongebob gets to suck up water. If you need any more help go to www.cheatcc.com

I bought this game for my 5 year old son. He had seen a preview for it on nickeloden. He wanted this game so much because it has all of his favorite cartoons in it. The controls are difficult to use, and the tasks are a little complex for him. when we play usually me or my husband ends up playing it for him. All he really wants to do is beat up on the bad guys. His favorite part of the game is being the gorilla in danny phantom's world. It is a great game if more than one person is going to be playing. If you are looking for a game that is easier for smaller children I recommend star wars legos. my 5 year old can control the game with ease, and with little or no help from me.

I dunno about you other people but I think this game is rad!!
It's all about these "villian" guys makin' this doomsday device to take over the world(like in any other cartoon)BLA BLA BLA!!!
anyway those guys are sooooo crappy! then Jimmy,Timmy Spongebob
and Danny try to stop 'em. There's like 4 levels in it. I'm gettin' a PS2(The new kind that's more portable because i
got the old one, you NOOSY kids!!)and this is the first game i'm gettin'. Ireally love this game an even though i NEVER saw it in person I still think its cool. it has so many features.
I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY like the part when you can switch
characters. It's a great game for 2005!!!

THE only thing i'm tryin'to say is that if you like it BUY it!!!
And if ya don't like it don't bother about it and think about more boring stuff.("that IS the only catogorey rather than video games"). and again i'm sayin' I think it's RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I have some good advice for you: If you like hi-techy tech stuff like me than buy a PlayStation2(the new kind) and buy NICKTOONS UNITE!! the game.

What a piece of crap this game is. I cannot believe I paid so much money for it. The directions included in the game do not tell you how to play, or how to get around. We're stuck in Jimmy's Lab and have no idea how to get out. Can someone tell us how to get out? What a piece of crap.
