The best Kirby game!

I'd say this is the best Kirby game to date! Not only does it have nine games, but also 19 different abilities (not to mention a few special ones!), each with their own special combos! Spring Breeze is the most well known, with King Dee Dee Dee! Very easy, but, it gets better! Dyna Blade is slightly harder, but, you can get 22/23 abilities in it! (That includes all of them!) The Great Cave Offensive is the hardest accessible game at first, with the hardest Bosses yet, and 60 Treasures to find, all scattered throughout the Cave! Gourmet Race is easy, especially because your top speed is greater. Now, the best game out of the nine, IMHO, is Revenge of Meta Knight. With the most creative Bosses and story line, this is no piece of cake. Your racing against the clock to destroy the Halberd, Meta Knight's war ship! Milky Way Wishes isn't easy, either. Easy access to abilities is cool, but the hard part: finding them for the first time. You can't swallow enimies to get abilities, except for the special ones, which you MUST swallow to get. The final Boss, Marx, is the toughest Boss in the game! The last game, The Arena has you fight all the Bosses, plus one. It's very challenging, and if you beat it, you get the sound test. I enjoyed this game a lot, and for good reason, too. :)

worth it

Kirby, as you know, is the little pink guy who swallows enimies and gains powers by doing so. It's a very fun game, with many games.

Spring Breeze: In this quickie, you go through 4 levels to get back the stolen food.

Dyna Blade: This time, you have to defeat a giant bird. You can return to levels.

The Great Cave Offensive: This one's fun! Try to find all 60 hidden treasures as you try to escape the cave.

Revenge of Meta Knight: I like this one. You have to destroy Meta Knight's warship, Halberd. You also hear the conversations between the crew. Notice that the game is timed.

Milky Way Wishes: Now you have to stop the sun and moon from fighting [WTF]! To do that, you have to go to other planets to gain their power. You can't gain powers by swallowing enemies this time [gasp!], but you find in hidden places, powers that last forever!!! A cool game.

The Arena: In this tough game, you have to defeat ALL the bosses and mini bosses! For a challange, try beating it without powers!

The game also has minigames.

Gourmet Race: Race DeDeDe while collecting food in 3 tracks!

Megaton Punch: Try to defeat your enimies in a strength competition!

Samauri Kirby: Test your reflexes!

A great feature in this game is that Kirby can turn his power into a computer-controlled buddy! If you have a 2nd controller, you can control the buddy!

It's a helluva game, and a must get for your SNES collection.

Ah, nostalgia...

If you don't like Kirby you're a tool.

Anyway, Kirby Super Star (called "Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe" in Japan, a much more fun name) was one of the last popular SNES games released, and is one of the many reasons the said system is still my favorite in the world of gaming. For the uninitiated, Kirby is a pink lil' blob who eats enemies and steals their powers. KSS was advertised as eight games in one; It's actually six short games and a bunch of mini-games, but it's not a problem since they're all fun. In previous Kirby games, Kirby was always limited to a single attack per ability. KSS grants Kirby multiple moves per ability, and increases the number of abilities the player can find. So you can find the "fighter" ability, in example, and there is a list of moves ranging from different punches, to kicks, to throws you can pull off. It may seem as though most of these moves are expendable since enemies die in one to two hits, but they add a new dimension of strategy and fun to boss fights. Best of all is the game's 2-player mode, which puts any online 20582-player military propaganda shooting game to shame. KSS follows the prevailing trend in Kirby games by being incredibly easy, but you'll find yourself getting in random item-relating quarrells in 2-player mode that compensates for the short-bus difficulty. KSS's graphics are bouncy and bright, with some nice animation and scaling effects. Kirby music is always sickeningly upbeat, but undeniably infectious and tropical. Who doesn't remember King Dedede's or Marx's theme? As for controls, you'll feel like you have 100% control over Kirby-- Not marred by absurd physics or irritating button combinations.

Spring Breeze is the first game, and is essentially a remake of Kirby's Dreamland sans a level. It's a shame they left the level out, but as the name implies, this game is supposed to be breezed through; The second game, Dyna Blade, is unique in the sense it has an overworld map, and some secret areas; The Gourmet Race is more of a mini-game than anything, as you race through levels against either a CPU or friend, incorporating different abilities to manuever around better or go faster; The Great Cave Offensive finds Kirby in a Super Metroid-esque labyrinthine cave. You explore different areas, finding treasures to increase your completion rate. There's even an RPG parody as a boss; Revenge of Meta-Knight is an old fan favorite, in which Kirby attempts to destroy Meta-knight's ship, the Halberd. The game is noted for its frantic pace, and an extremely cool encounter at the end; Milky Way Wishes further explores the RPG/adventure elements flirted with in other games on KSS, as you collect little pedestals that give you powers you can access at any times. Unlike the other games, sucking in enemies is an act pf futility. Near the end of the game there's a Gradius-style shooting segment, followed by one of the coolest final bosses ever; The Arena is an endurance/time attack challene against the game's various bosses. There's a ton of replay value present in 2-player mode; And finally, Samurai Kirby and Megaton Punch are minigames that test your timing.

That's it. You want to know what good gaming is? It's not long CGI cut-scenes or over-emphasis in connectivity, it's fun and soul. Pick this up.

Kirby the pink wander is back being able to have a helper that can be either CPU controlled or P2 controlled. I prefer the helper as a P2 controlled character because the CPU AI lacks on certain boss battles. Kirby swallows things in order to defeat enemies, mini bosses, and bosses. Kirby races King Dedede in "Gourmet Race", eating food to go faster. Kirby must stop Meta Knight from trying to destroy Dreamland in "Revenge of Meta Knight". And there's other stuff about kirby.

This game has SO Many features to it. theirs 8 games in one. Theirs a co-op in the game where one person plays as kirby and the other plays as a helper. The helper is basically the enemy kirby sucks up and can be used as a computer player or player 2 can control the helper. Their is a blocking ability and many cool attack combos. Theirs two Minigames added to it which I believe one of them is in Kirby Knightmare in Dreamland. Anyway I've owned this game for years and my friend and I still play it and neither of us are bored of it. This game is worth buying a Super Nintendo.
