My daughter absolutely loves Dragon Tales, so I purchased this game. The graphics are very appealing, and it's nice to have a collection of the songs from the show. But the lack of variety in actions and speech from the characters and the inability to use both children simultaneous caused my 3 year old daughter to hand me the controller after trying for some time to give it credit. The game was easy, even in it's most difficult stage. It's just that it gets monotonous before very long. If I did not have other games for the Playstation, I would believe this was all they could do. But, more effort could have been put into this game, since it is obvious that the disks hold much more memory and the console is capable of processing heavier detail. It really appears that this game was created only because "they made us (the programmers) do it." I really wish programmers would understand that when we buy games for our little ones, and pay good money for them, we want them to educate or stimulate the child's imagination, not stagnate with what the children learned to do when they were only 9 months old and crawling under furniture, finding things we long forgot existed.

We bought this game for our 3 1/2 year old and although her first reaction was excitement since she'd be able to play something using Daddy's PS2 and best of all, it was a Dragon Tales Game, it wasn't what we both expected.
It's slow & boring. As much as you'd like to buy this game, it's not worth it unless you think it'd be great for your child to start off slow. Spend your money on something like a Dora Game for the playstation; which can still be at your child's pace, yet is actually FUN and educational too.

Do you parents really want a good game that is "edutational" for your children? This is NOT the one. I did not try this game, but I know that ....How, you ask? I read a review. You can take one look at the graphics, and tell. Listen to me, because this will help in the long run.Bottom Line: this game is so bad, a toddler might stop watching Dragon Tales because of it. You'd better get Sesame Street.

The video game is very colorful and the voices are the same that you would hear on the t.v. show and it provides learning skills to your child or children which is a good thing but the real down fall of the game is. It is to simple your child will win this game in just 1 hour it is a very short game and also the game gets stuck at times and it skips over the voices to needless to say if you are looking for a game that is for a very young child in the age range of 3-4 years old this is the game for you.You can really teach your kids shapes and colors but only with your help this can be done my child didn't know a square from a circle but now he does and it took just 1 hour for him to learn this and i am very proud of him and i say thanks to the makers of this game so if your child needs to learn his or her shapes or colors please get this game for them you will love yourself for it later.
I would never buy this again...

i read mixed reviews on here, but my little girl loves dragon tales so much that i purchased the game and hoped for the best. boy was i sorry. i despise this game. all the complaints people made in the previous reviews are correct, and then some. my little girl is 5 and she gets so frustrated with the game she will hardly play it. she won't play it at all without me there. she loves dragon tales so she keeps wanting to give it a try, but only gets frustrated time and time again. i hate this game. i do not recommend it to anyone, even little die hard dragon tale fans will be annoyed with it. TERRIBLE!!

This game is Great for 1st time players. Level 1 is really Simply all the child needs to do is push one button (the arrow) and the game does everything (it may seem really easy and quit dumb to very experience video game players) But on level 1 my son learn how to use the arrow button to walk once he master that then on level 2 he learned how to use the arrow & x button to jump. Then on level 3 & 4 takes more work moving, jump searching and by playing the level (not jumping right to 4) and he is getting better at the controls and can now operate games he couldn't before.
Slow and frustrating

I bought this for my 5 year old who is really adept with the controller. Everytime he plays it he just gets frustrated because the action is slow - when Emmy or Max look for a dragon and don't find one you have to sit through about a few minutes of talking before you can move on. You also can't move freely (I'm talking about on the hardest level where your kid has more control) - for example, if you want Max or Emmy to jump up onto a path sometimes the game won't let you. Basically, my 5 year old just gets angry with this. I think we'll sell it. If you are buying it for a young kid with not much Playstation experience it would probably be better. Not a bit frightening.

Dragon Tales: Dragon Seek is a wonderful game for a young child just beginning the Playstation experience! How it teaches them is quite simple, there are certin levels of difficulty for the player to choose 1 for beginnier and 4 for a more advanced player and depending on the difficulty the more freedom they have to explore the playscape, for example at difficulty 1 there is a limited amount of movement, but as you go up in difficulty your freedom of movement increases until you have full movement and the child can explore on his or her own. This is perfect for easing a child into how to use the control so s/he can play others games without getting frustrated by not knowing the controler well. To keep the game interesting for players they have diffrent maps to explore, and the characters hiding hide in different places each time! Also as you search for your friends you will come across Dragonberries which are used at the end of a level to help win a race, but the player must use his or her berries wisely or run out and not win the race. Win or lose though the child is treated to a song from the cartoon. Overall good game. I certinly think so!

I just purchased this game for my 31/2 yr old son. He is constantly watching his older brother play video games and wanted one of his own. I feel this is an excellent "first" game choice for preschoolers. Playing hide and seek and listening to the songs makes this very enjoyable. This game is slow paced for young ones who need time in making a decision and also helps in learing how to use the controller. The game allows the children to make choices but not confusing them.... very easy to follow.
