I am a veteran point-and-click adventure gamer and I really enjoyed the story and the beauty of this game. It even stopped my husband in his tracks while he was walking by one day because the graphics and scenery were so impressive.
However, it was a fairly simple story with quite easy puzzles. There is even a help feature if you get stuck on a puzzle that will eventually just give you the solution. I am quite impatient and so I kind of like that part somewhat- but it did eventually make the game a tad boring since I never had to really think about the puzzles too much. Because of this I never finished the game due to the lack of a challenge, but I did play almost all the way through (which was only took a couple of days or so).
I can totally see this game irritating some serious gamers that really enjoy a good difficult puzzle, so I would recommend this for young players without much experience as you will not get to a point where the game becomes so hard it is discouraging. Plus, it's really pretty so it catches the attention of those ADD-prone kiddies ;)
Great as a family game as well, as everyone from little Suzy to Grandpa will be able to sit at the computer and participate at some level together (although I'd say a 8 or 9 year old could easily play alone if they know basic computer game controls and have descent language/cognitive skills...).
The only real cons to this game (besides the super-easiness) would be some of the voice acting. The actors voicing the playable characters are really good, but the actor for the friend's father is just terrible. Some people might not care (I usually don't), but it was so bad I started to dread every cut scene (and there are A LOT of cut scenes). In fact, it was so bad it was laughable. But in the grand scheme of things, his acting skills don't do much harm to the game itself.
All in all a great beginner's/family game.
I loved it!

I'm going to try not to repeat too much of what's already been said. I am an avid fan of adventure games. I've played all of the games which have been praised in these reviews. I would probably consider Syberia to be my favorite of all time.
Nonetheless, I loved this game! It had its annoyances (just like almost every other game I have played): the acting was sometimes pretty awful; the riddle puzzles were annoyingly nebulous; sometimes tedious moving back and forth.
The graphics blew me away. Not as photographically realistic as some other games. I was spellbound by the fairy-tale, dreamlike quality of the images. Hauntingly beautiful music that I never grew tired of. I actually found myself going back to places just so I could gawk at the scenery and/or enjoy the soundtrack.
The storyline fascinated me. I was intrigued and stayed interested until the end. I enjoyed the puzzles. Some were pretty easy and some were deviously difficult (at least for me).
I enjoyed the playful interaction with my accomplice. Warmth and humanity were added via other interactions that I appreciated.
This game entertained me for many hours and I looked forward to playing it whenever I could. Although it employed some hackneyed concepts, it never bored me or disappointed me (not even the bittersweet ending). In my opinion, it was well worth the money spent!

Keepsake has a vivid storyline that draws you in, and the acting to match. The result? A completely immersive experience. Soon enough you'll find yourself empathizing with the characters. Add to this brilliant scenery and an intuitive interface, and you have one of the most brilliant games of the past few years.

I'm not much of a shoot 'em up and slash and burn type of gamer so this game really clicked well with me. I always print out the walkthrough and use it as a guide, but you really don't need any help because if you're stumped, there is a help button that you can click to get lots of help with the puzzles. The graphics are great and the storyline believable. The ending was a bit anti-climactic, but I enjoyed it overall.
