Don't buy it. It failed to pass me on to the next level even though I had beaten the level. The interface is badly designed and the game is not really fun.

The graphics and action may be very good, but it is the customer support behind the product that is most important! EA Games seems not to want to work with customers regarding simple problems.. such as inverting the mouse action. The game is totally unplayable unless there is a way to invert the mouse function. The default status is totally against logic for forward equals up, and backward equals down. All other game programs have the option to invert the mouse. Or, it can be added to the configuration file.
It would be near impossible to operate a plane or construction equipment in such a manner with a joystick or shuttle control. Obviously, the EA Games programmers have no sense of reality.
made a big mistake

I wish I had not bought this game. It requires a code to install it says its on the lower left bottom of the box. There is no code. Try to call them or go to their web site etc no one can help. It's not worth the effort to try to return it by mail. I don't think I will buy anymore games on line besides best buy has all the same games at the same price.
This game sucks for everything but multiplayer.

I bought this game because of the good reviews that it got below. Boy was that a wrong move. I don't understand how anyone could give this a good review. Are you people employees of Digital Illusions or EA? Because this was the "suckiest" shooter I have ever played. My experience, of getting this game and expecting something moderately as fun as "Halo," was basically the same as a kid expecting candy and getting a horehound lozenge.
First off lets get an understanding about what I like and don't like. I like to play multiplayer games sometimes, but I mainly like to play single player games. I like to play games like "FarCry" and "Halflife" and "Halo". I like games not because of what everyone else says about them, but because they are fun. I don't play games that need special input devices or require you to have a subscription. I just want to put it in the computer and play a fun game that I don't have to worry about leaving if I need to.
Just running around and shooting things with no goal is something I could do in any other game. So why would anyone want to pay good money to do it in battlefield? Because that is all you do in this game, until you die and get spawned somewhere to do it again. This is more like a strategy game, but with out the ability to let you strategize. You are the ground troop in the strategy game, effectively, with nobody knowing what is going on until all of a sudden the game stops and says you won. Then you get another level to run around in and do it again. There are no real goals. Sure you can set up a team; sure you can play with or against someone. Whoopiedee Dooooo!! This is, in other words, not a game that has a point.
If you want a WW2 game that is good get Call of Duty, or hell even play the original Castle Wolfenstien (I'd trade graphics for fun any day). I can't believe I am saying bad things about a fps game, but if that is what this is supposed to be then they are not the kind that I like. This collection has the very worst single-player mode ever, from any platform. It is so bad that I refuse to sell it to someone because I would then be dealing that person a grievous wrong.
If you really, really, really, want to throw your money away, then don't buy this game. Send it to me, I will at least not use it to make a sequel to the royal buggering that you will get by being parted with your hard earned cash for nothing of value. And I wont lie to you and say that you will get something good. I only wish that I had that deal, `cause I feel bad that my money will go towards financing another bogus farce of a game by an ironically named digital illusion.
I would rather play solitaire, and that is bad coming from me.
The best that I can say about this game is that it has nice graphics for its date.
bad

i bought this game because i recently beat call of duty. i chose between this and dod:S. this had mroe games, so i bought it. i loved the battlefield 2 game, very fun. but this game is so very lacking. where do i start? no diversity of weapons like cod. what do i mean? the japanese have the stens and brens, the us have enfields, the british have thompsons, bars, and garands. then theres the axis with the mp44 mp40 kar, and kar sniper. theres way to few weapons. theres no online ranking system either. this game isnt NEARLY as fun and battlefield 2. all the sudden bam your dead. with battlefield 2, you get shot, but you have the chance to see the enemy and kill them too. in this game, the hitboxs are terrible too. i snuck up on a guy, with a lee enfield sniper, and at his head, and shoot. nothing. he turns around, with a pistol, and shoots me in the leg, i died. the levels are also incredibaly bland. i only give 2 stars because theres a very wide variety of levels, but they seriosly need to let the players use the full aresenals. not swapping around guns to the japanese that the brits should have, american guns the brits shouldnt have ETC. even the russians dont have the mossin nagat. they just have a heavy support weapon you can fire standing up. its like firing one of those mg-42 standing up, but with no recoil. im super pissed i bought this game.
A Horrible Game

This game is definately the worst First person Shooter I have ever played. Let's go over the pros (which are basicly non-excistent) and the cons (there are lots of those!)
CONS
1. Completely inacurrate in the history department, especially the weapons. The Japanese have the british Bren LMGs, the Americans have British lee-enfields, and the russians have these heavy machine-guns that you can carry around, which is like lugging around an MG42, which are really heavy. Oh and medics carry guns, which is really really really stupid.
2. It takes forever to kill somebody. I was using an MG42, which was the most powerful machine-gun in WW11, and i shot a guy at least 10 times and he barely flinched. Also, i shot a guy in the head with a springfield sniper rifle and he didn't die.
3. There is no intensity what so ever. I was playing Omaha Beach (which was where alot of the American casualties occured durring the invasion of Europe) and i could stand there and not get shot at for 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes, a german would walk up to me and stand there looking at me, until i shot him. I used to shoot the ground with my weapon just to make it seem i was fighting someone.
PROS
1. The maps look pretty.
IN CONCLUSION
If you really want to have a good time playing a First Person Shooter, don't play this game. Go get Call of Duty.
Ok but nothing special

I went through a phase where I played WW2 games quite a bit. I loved the Medal of Honor series, and Call of Duty was decent but not great. So I decided to try out Battlefield, and I saw this collection at the store. There was a lot to install, so it took a while to get it all onto my computer. I actually enjoyed playing it for awhile. I did, however, become rather bored in a short period of time. The AI is not the greatest, and whenever I died my character had to run FOREVER to get back to the battle. I became bored mostly because of this. After running around fighting, then dying, then running back again, I felt like my character was getting a good workout but not really accomplishing very much.
If you have a lot of time and patience, this game is decent. Otherwise, I would pass on it and play something a little less frustrating.
Nice game for slower computers, poor multiplayer experience

This is an old game, as you probably know. This bundle is just the CDs from the original releases packed into one box; installation very tedious and awkward. I wasn't able to install BF Vietnam, I get some weird error, but did not mind it because I was never interested in it.
The multiplayer servers don't have much people, and will get more desolated every day.
No bf2....

Not enough single player sections which is only what I'm interested in, but at $9.99 will give a few hours of interest. Glad I did't buy it at full price.
