GOOD game!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

This game is pretty good. Except that I had to download a patch to make it run properly. I LOVE being able to dress up my kitty. The kitten does NOT grow as said on the box but that doesn't matter. My kitty has all the best toys bed, etc. I love the mini games. The one with the cat and the mouse is great. I have all the mice. All the foods. And all the water. Anyways buy this game!

If you don't have an ATI or Nvidia Video Game card, or if you run Windows Vista, do not buy this software, it will not work on your PC.

FInally got it to work

My 6 yr. old daughter bought this game at WalMart with her own money. We brought it home and like everyone else, it crashed time after time. She was REALLY upset!

But after downloading the patch from [...], it now seems to be working fine. For those that have already downloaded the patch, you might go back and try again because it says this patch was released on Sept. 14. (i noticed all the reviews were prior to that date) I'm guessing they have very recently updated the patch.

That being said, I'm giving it three stars because my daughter is telling me five stars, but the game just doesn't look that much fun to me. I would say two stars at most....but she's not having it. So we have compromised on three stars. I actually think she's only saying five stars just because she's so darn relieved we finally got it to work!

She seems to enjoy it so far, but I'm thinking that it will probably get boring pretty fast. There isn't a lot to do except feed it, give it water, brush it, etc. Very repetative.

But I'm just glad we were able to get it to work! If you already have the game, go re-try the patch again!

All of the Luv games are BORING!!! I have downloaded and played all the games thinking each one would be better than the last. You buy stuff and train then NOTHING! There is not much to do after that. It's also hard to make them do tricks.

A game better for younger children

This game is a good starter computer game for children under 7. It's a simple game, where you feed the kitty, play a game with the kitty (move a toy mouse around and the kitty tries to catch it - if the kitty fails to catch it, you get money), buy things for your kitty like food, water, and accessories like collars. It's an easy game. You pick the breed of your kitty, the gender, and you type a name for your kitty. It's not attention-grabbing, like some other games. You'd have more fun with Dogz 5 for the computer, or Nintendogs for DS, if you're older than 7. They are attention-grabbing, and they have more activities for you to do. Or, even try Puppy Luv: A New Breed - I like that one better, and it has more activities for you. Before buying any Luv games, be sure to do an hour-long free trial at some sites like www.Shockwave.com.

Couldn't get it to stop crashing on either my maxed out gaming platform or my regular Dell home computer. The "patch" didn't have any effect.

Zero Stars Is A Massive Overrating

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should have checked the other reviews here before I let my kids waste their allowance on a completely worthless game.

I loaded this worthless game onto two different, new, fully updated computers and could not get the game to run properly, if at all, even after several hours of work. On one machine it would not run at all, on the other it ran extremely poorly so I downloaded the patch which only made things worse, now it will not run at all.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME - IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! I am an advanced computer user with 29 years of experience with software, hardware and programming and use computers all day everyday and I could not make it work and gave up.

I do not know how this company lives with itself taking money from little kids and reducing them to tears as my kids were (which explains the hours spent trying to get it to run) and I see from other postings here many other were as well.

I do not think I can really say enough bad about this worthless disk - OK, almost worthless as I guess one could play Frisbee with it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't Put Up With This Junk

To all the people who bought this "game" and were frustrated and disappointed that it doesn't play correctly, even with the patch: Fight back!

"Caveat emptor" is a thing of the past; consumers today do not have to put up with this. Report the developers and publishers to the FTC, you can do it through their website. File a complaint with your state's attorney general. Look up the company's info on Verisign's WhoIs, or do a Google search on the company and anyone listed in the game's credits. You'd be amazed how much contact information can be found over the web, both home and work.

Call them up and continue calling them up until you get what you want, or work your way higher up the chain of command. You have to be relentless, don't let them off the hook. This is the only way to get through to greedy companies who sell non-functional garbage to make a buck.

Dont Buy It

Got this for my daughter. First it wouldnt work at all. It was missing drivers that I had to download off thier website. Then when I finally got the program "working" It was very bizarre. The cat ended up absorbed into a wall - strange. None of the activities worked the way you'd think they should. I ended up with my daughter in tears and throwing the program in the trash.
