It gave me a reason to buy a PS2

The day JK Rowling invented Quidditch for the books, this game was begging to be created. I'm absolutly getting it. I was ready to give up video games when I found out they were making a Quidditch game. This is the game I've been waiting for. Yes, I'm a Harry Potter nut, so the opportunity to play Quidditch was one I could not pass up. And unlike the other Harry Potter games, this one takes you beyond Hogwarts and into the Wizard world with it's favorite sport. I knew it was time to invest in a good system for the game, so I'm finally getting a PS2. I mean how can anyone, especially a Harry Potter fan, pass up the opportunity to play this awesome sport?

I have been waiting for this game since the first harry potter book came out. i cant wait to get it. Im Harry Potter nut and i think this game is going to rock. anyone who knows what qudditch is will like this game. Im sure of it.

When the Chamber of Secrets game came out, my cousin bought it for me and I played for days on end till, well it ended. I'd have to say that even though it was a Harry Potter game, it moved a little slowly, except for when it came to Quidditch. Even though you could only be Harry and play as the Seeker, it was still really cool. Quidditch World Cup is only about Quidditch and you get to play as 7 other players so that means it'll be 7 times better! I can't wait to get it!

**CAN'T WAIT!!** I thought pretty much the same that the Chamber of Secrets was definately the better of the two movies and things really got FLYING with the Quidditch game!! It was so exciting feeling the vertigo and speed of the screen shots - I am really looking forward to this experience in the game. I saw the movie with my youngest son who actually looks like Harry Potter and has Harry Potter EVERYTHING!!! See what kids do to ya?!! You get to have lots of fun with them and thanks to Rowlings, the movie and game producers you get to have more in common with them!! Currently in a computer gaming developement course, I can't wait to evaluate this one...!!

Heck ya, Quidditich for PS2 and I would rather go and get that game than go and get that candy at night yaaa. If they made Bludgers, Quaffels, Broom sticks, and Snitchs in real life I would get them. It's my favourite thing about Harry Potter. It's a great sport and I think J.K. Roleing is a Pure genuise for making Quidditch. But this is a great sport and I sugest you get this game because it will be the funest game I have. 5*'s all the way yaaa, *****...

Well, here we are with the first Quidditch video game. I went out today (10.29.03) to get it as soon as it was released, and the reason i say first game is that this one has so much potential for more.

Don't get me wrong, this game is fantastic. But a warning to those skeptics out there: YOU WILL ONLY LIKE THIS GAME IF YOU ARE A TRUE POTTER FAN. It can get a bit repetitive, but to a true fan, who cares: it's quidditch!

The only other bad thing is that it could have so many more options, such as a dynasty mode similar to football video games or even a season mode. There's not much to this game; however....

The controls impress me. It's very easy as a beginner (you can't lose your first match unless youre absolutely horrible). It's very easy to catch on, and there are a few special moves that, alone, make this game worth getting. It also has multiplayer, so that's a plus. The stadiums are awesome (sadly, the american field is somewhat disappointing) but the rest (especially Japan) are excellent.

TO CONCLUDE: This title is worth buying if you're an extreme harry potter fan. Otherwise, i recommend renting it. I, being a true potter fan, LOVE THIS GAME.

Harry Potter Paradise

This is a wonderful game for all Harry fans. You get put right inside the game and it feels like you're at Hogwarts! I would recommend this to everyone! Although, it seems fairaly easy to win the games but is still a good expeirence.

An unusual sports game

Quidditch World Cup is basically a sports game. This isn't my genre, but since I spent an extra 6 hours more than needed on Chamber of Secrets fooling around with Gnome-flinging, flying and Quidditch, I thought I'd give this a shot.

Now I find the game to be extremely addicting.

The basic gameplay is simple. It suits me just fine, although some sports genre enthusiasts might wish for more, such as vertical control. Perhaps in a sequel.

The International Teams are colorful and amusing. The first three offered up as a choice (US, England and Japan) are also the three countries with the biggest HP/videogame markets. The themes of the various fields reminds me of Disney World's Epcot World Showcase. Colonial for the US, Bavarian for Germany. However, given the castle and wizard theme of Harry Potter this doesn't seem out of order.

Scoring against the other teams is amazingly easy. Most players will find themselves with scores like 460 to 10. However, it'll be fun and the frustration level is low. Once the Comet 360 level is beaten a special 2-player level using the Hogwarts Teams called "Queerditch" will unlock. With another human player, the game stops being easy and scoring is low, making the dependance on the Snitch more like the books. This will satistfy those who get bored with easy wins.

At first this game is extremely boring because it is as though the other teams aren't trying. In most games you beat the other team by about 300 points, but once you get out of Hogwarts and play in the world cup, it gets much more difficult and more fun.[I can't beat Japan yet because of their seeker - but I just got the game two hours ago]. The stadiums are amazingly well detailed and the game has pretty good graphics. All-in-all it's a great game if you're a Potter fan.
