I have no idea how any of those other reviewers could have liked this game. IT'S TERRIBLE! I'll sum up the plot in a few words. You're Areosmith and you're trying to stop some evil government sceme. It seems the government has sent a clone army after you because all the enemys are the same guy in a yellow suit! Also when you shoot them they don't react at all! I don't know about you but if I was shot in the face I'd at leat fall on the floor and scream like a... well, you know. Of course this makes the game extremly chalenging because it doesn't matter how skilled you are you're still going to die every few seconds. That gets really old, really fast. Choosing to continue is kind of like choosing to light your hand on fire and then hiting yourself in the face with it. No wait, that might be more fun.

First off I am a very big fan of Aerosmith but this game is stupid. Ok heres the plot Evil No fun terrorists ban the world of fun of any kind. Unfortunently they kidnapped Aerosmith. So you nameless action hero who shoots stuff with a gun must protect
and save Steven Tyler,Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and that other guy whos completley useless Brad Whitford. Now heres what gets me instead of kidnapping a world leader of anything political they get a rock group. If the leader were to go to the Bomb terrorist bar he wouldnt fit in. Heres a sample.
Liquid Snake: I kidnapped two nuclear missile company presidents forced them to cooaperrate and made a demand of 1billion dollars what did you do over the weekend.
Revo. X: I kidnapped Aerosmith and did nothing.
See it makes no sense. Its a good thing Nameless Guy who shoots big gun stopped them before they caught AC/DC.
Dated, Corny, yet ADDICTIVE!

The New Order Nation is brainwashing everyone in the world and they kidnap AEROSMITH. It is up to you to destroy Helga, the leader, and rescue the band. Overall, this game is an action packed blast from the past!
I am sure the other reviews on this page are ancient, but I am writing in January 2002. So today, this game is really corny, which is funny. Everytime I go the the Middle East level, I pretend that I am fighting the Taliban. Now you really know that this is 2002!!!
Rescue the babes and watch out for that green-slime monster!
Not to shabby

This is a really cool game if you like Aerosmith. But, even if you don't i still recomend it--it is very much like the arcade version.
Not bad, but the arcade version is better.

Why do people give this game such bad reviews? It isn't that bad, but the arcade one is better. The arcade version had better frame rates, graphics, and sound, but this is the next best thing. It isn't as good as it could've been, but it isn't bad. If you like shooters or Aerosmith, you will probably like this.
THIS IS A GREAT GAME!!

This is one of THE BEST GAMES I have ever played! It is true to the original, and has almost all of the graphics and sound effects of its arcade counterpart! The only thing that's missing is the recoil of the gun! I would recommend this to a die-hard collector of arcade-style games!
Great game!

I used to go to the arcades every weekend to play Revolution X. I was enthusiastic when it came out to Sega because I wouldn't have to spend $20 a week to play. I was also very wary because many arcade games do not make the transformation from arcade to home system like Sega or Nintendo. But this game made the transformation! I felt as if I was in the arcade while playing this game on my Sega. Overall, great game -- definately one of my favorites!
