Very entertaining

both of my kids love this game. My 4-year-old can play the first few levels and watches my 8-year-old play the rest. Its very entertaining -- lots of jumping and interaction. Its a bit monotonous being linear, but there is enough diversity that it kept my kids very entertained going through the different levels. I highly recommend this game.

Easily entertaining

I have two little girls (ages 6 & 8) with little attention spans in regards to video gaming. But with this game, they seem to be transported into their imagination zone and truly enjoy this game. Some of the game is difficult/challenging but that is to come with video gaming. I would definately recommend this game!

good for ages 5-9

If you have a little brother, sister, son, or daughter then get this game for them. When my little bro' bothers me i just wanna kick him across the room. When he got this game for [...]$ i said "why'd u waste ur money on a stupid game. That was in the morning at 10pm. 3 hours later i go downstairs and he is still playing and laughing at this game. Now that might not be a good thing but all i know is that he is not bothering me at all.

Great Game!

My 5 year old son and I enjoy playing this game together. I like it because you know just what your objective is. Alot of games he has I find myself not knowing what to do next. It is a great game for a child just starting to play video games.

Best game I've ever played!

More challenging than you would expect, consider it's rated "E" and based on a Suess book. Graphics are awesome, looks just like the movie.

ok i guess...

I rented the game the other day and i was impressed. if you played stuart little 2 and treasure planet on the playstation 1 console, you will notice that this game is very simaler from the health bars to the music. one drawback, its sidescrolling, instead of third-person. also, the cat's voice is funny, then highly annoying. the bosses are so hard, after you die, you get so much tenson, you feel you want to jump in your t.v. parents, their is one line that the cat says when you beat a level,"i came, i saw, I KICKED ITS A.." he doesnt nessarly say that word, but i thought i should let you know. overall, its still fun!

This game is OK...

It's actually like the older versions of games...like Mario Brothers...you typically go left to right (although it's better than Mario was because you can go back)...we've come futher than this in game play, haven't we?

It is going to play off of the movie success (of course) and the fact that it is the Cat in the Hat is a little nostalgic, so I tend to like this game better than I would if it was just some game.

Anyway, you are the Cat in this game and the kids are telling you to clean up before you can go to other magical levels. So you clean a little, you go to a magical level (inside the grandfather clock, for example) and search for Thing 1 and 2 (who have keys to other, secret, levels)...all the while you are trying to stop the neighbor from stealing magic.

My kids seem to like this game (ages 3, 5 and 9).

Rent it first.
