I agree with alan and idtwina. This will probably be the best game in the Rainbow Six series from Red Storm. With all the things the developers have learned from previous games, you can expect even more from the single player and multiplayer. There might even be upgraded enemy AI to make your job harder! You might find that there are new planning options and most likely new weapons, and maybe even new kit items WOW!
Ok, but needs more

For a Rainbow Six game, I was very disappointed that only three missions were included. The controls are much better than R6 and Eagle Watch, but other than that, this game was nothing more than a large disappointment.
The three missions range in difficulty, but they can only be so interesting. For the first, you're inserted into the jungle for some kind of a hostage rescue, which you'll lose men in the process, no way around. You can't get your snipers in positions to get the enemy's, ever. The second mission takes you to a snowy landscape, and this mission was so boring that I didn't need to do a thing, just set it on autopilot, and they ran through it with ease. The third puts you outside a missle silo, and you have to actually run through this mission. I think this one is the best of the three, as it poses a challenge, but isn't impossible.
The multiplayer aspect, however, is what the game is worth. The sniper battles that can take place in the Jungle are unbelievable, and the silo adds to some nice assault maps. The training missions, however, make the best assault maps. Using store front, back, and ER, you can hone your assault skills down to a fine art, very quickly.
All in all, the game is fair, but way under par for Red Storm and the Rainbow Six titles. Red Storm should have spent some more time on adding at least a few more missions into the game, instead of leaving you with three.

First they saved the world . Then they saved us all from a nuclear holocast. Now they're back in action. ALL the Rainbow Six games were amazing! Why not this one? I can tell you that it will be a great game without even playing it! Trust me on this one. Until then all teams HOLD! Over and out.
Not much

I'm big Tom Clancy's rainbow six fan. I have all the new products (Rogue Spear, Urban ops). And they really rocks I have them for about a year and still play them. I'm also in Army ROTC so I understand some tacticks and weapons used. Ok I bought Covert Ops over the internet played for 30 minutes finished all and disapointed returned back. Yes there is some new levels (I thing 7 together with training levels==what's up with that) but not enough. I was expecting new weapons, uniforms, lots of new levels and side weapons and equipment. But didn't happen. It looked to me like a copy of Rogue Spear and urban ops. I'm a hardcore Rainbow six player so that's why I think I didn't like it at all. So for all of you who are good, familiar, and maniacs with Rogue Spear and Urban ops don't buy it and spent money on something better. For money I got back I ordered Red Alert2 so I hope it will make me happy. I forgot to talk about the tactics CD. That CD is pretty interesting but for people like me who are totally into Army special forces, SWAT, SAS and Seals is only review by the way you can find the same stuff on the internet.
(sorry for the grama, English is my second language)
This is the icing on the cake...

For anyone who has played the games in the Rainbow 6 series this is the icing on the cake. To learn about actual tactics, and historic events, and play some of the hardest most challenging levels offered, this is what we have been waiting for. I personally enjoy the field manuals and the reference material, someone really did their homework on this. The format is straight forward and easy to manuever in. The actual game maps are great, and more challenging than earlier maps. And again Red Storm, and Tom Clancy hit one out of the park...

I found that this game is great for anyone wanting to know what it takes to become a member of this elite NATO organization (outside the physical asspect). This game consists of two (2) CDs, the first being the training CD is great for those who want to learn about todays needs to become a member of a CT/HRU (Counter Terrorist/ Hostage Rescue Unit). You read and take tests in fields like surrvalince, Phychology, Historic Missions, etc. After that, it's onto the Mission CD where you can paly nine new missions in Bolivia, the Antartic and Idao. Those plussix new training operations. If you are a CT (Counter Terrorist) buff, you will enjoy this game. The only down side, sometimes in the Training CD, there is a bit of a sound glich but it is minor. Enjoy.

I assumed that if Mr. Clancy signed his name to a product, it would be first rate. I was wrong. Installation went wrong right at the start. Tech Support says that it must be on my end. Note that one CD plays well, while the other won't play without choppy sound and video. In my first of many e-mails to UBI, I listed all pertinent info regarding my PC and its drivers, cards, etc. A list posted on Red Storm/UBI site stated that my video card was supported. After many more support contacts, my video card is no longer supported. And the list of supported cards has been altered. It now states that my card, and others, which were formerly supported, are not any more. In addition, some cards, mine included, work with one disc but not the other. What good is half of a game? I wonder why my card was supported in my first tech request but not supported in the last. Don't get burned like I did. I find it interesting that these problems became apparent "after" the Christmas Season sales.
An Awesome game!

This game is great, if you have played the others you'll love this one. The only bad thing is that you die really fast, but you'll have a great time playing this game. Especially if you like the other games. If you haven't played the other rainbow six's before this probably would'nt be what you are expecting.

This is the worst buy you could make. Look at the price of the game and ask yourself if the cost is worth 3 missions. That's right, this game ends after the third mission. Save your money - do not buy this game.
Best game in the world.Except for..........

This game is one of the best games I've ever payed. But, there are only three levels. Also there are less weopons. There are two disc, but one is a training disc. All it has you do is read and take test.If you stick to the mission disc the game is perfectly fine.Besides the training disc and there only being three levels it is the bet game ever.
