RCT2 incluye ya a RCT1 con sus expansiones, pero este pack incluye eso y 2 expansiones con cientos de atracciones, tiendas, escenarios y cosas para personalizar tu parque tematico, pero esta vez la variante seran la epoca y el lugar.

I purchased this item, and it was fun at first. I didn't like how in some of the senarios, you couldn't charge for the rides, how you make money that way, I don't know. A good advance is that there is a senario editor, but the problem is, you can't edit senarios, you can only create senarios, so if you make a mistake, your doomed. This game is much like the first one, if you really want a fun Roller Coaster Tycoon, go and buy the 3rd one if your computer allows.

let me guess, another combination of the 1st three games right? well, im not sure but i would say thats the way its gonna be. they have zero information on the game as of now. On the Amazon sales rank list, its 2091st. so lets stay away from this one. I have RCT 2 an i think its great but this is just a different combonation of a couple of the RCT games, nothin new. I give this 3 stars because i think we all know whats coming.

Not Quite So Thrill Worthy...

For those of you familiar with the RCT series, this is the second 'version' of it + the two expansions that came out alongside RCT2, Wacky Worlds and Time Twister. Overall it's worth it to bundle the 3 packs together, but much of the complaints about WW & TT are fully warranted.

The game of course, is a simulation based game where you open and run a theme park in order to obtain a certain goal. The original game was hugely successful with its easy user interface and challenging play...RCT2 doesn't really expand on that a whole lot other than adding some new building/design features, a ton of new rides and theming, and a new variety of challenges (such as paying off loans, building X number of rollercoasters, and so on). There is also the addition of building your own style of park, or playing in 'real world' parks based on the Six Flags franchise. There are now 3 levels of play that allow you access to all the scenarios at once (rather than having to beat some to gain access to new ones) - beginner, challenging, and expert. Another interesting twist is the fact you can now only have one source of income - either you charge your guests admission for unlimited rides, or you charge them per ride (shops, stalls etc. income not withstanding). Both of these options provide challenges and advantages that add a dynamic element to the game.

The two expansions add a bunch of new scenarios that are themed to their various titles. Wacky Worlds has themes (usually one at each level of play) surrounding Africa, China, America, Europe etc. Time Twister's themes include Rock & Roll, Roaring 20's, Stone Age, and Future etc. Each 'theme' is applied to a specific scenario - such as a Roaring 20's park set on the island prison Alcatraz, or the Rock & Roll park set on Woodstock.

The expansions don't really add anything new persay - all of the 'new' rides are really just themed versions of rides already in existence, either through new rollercoaster carts for previously existing coasters, or new decorated versions of existing rides...ie: the go-karts become long, 20's style vehicles if you are playing a roaring 20's scenario. As if it weren't letdown enough that the new rides aren't really 'new', they also aren't really available beyond their themed scenarios - in other words the expansions fail to integrate with one another. You can only access rock and roll themeing/themed rides in rock and roll scenarios. Although if you wanted to build your own park, I'm sure that'd be fixable.

In terms of the new scenarios, the ones that come with the base game of RCT 2 are pretty simple but surprisingly a fair bit more challenging (from what I've experienced) of the ones that come with the expansions. I found I could complete certain Time Twister/Wacky Worlds challenges within a few months rather than the year or two it normally takes to complete something. For some reason, I found it less satisfying to work on building a park with the themes the game supplied me with...I'd much rather theme my own park, and that is what would make me stick around after my goal was completed, but unfortunately the developers didn't seem to realize that.

Overall RCT2 is good if you basically want to expand your original gameplay. The dropped price of this pack reflects its lack of improvement on the original - especially in terms of graphics. IF you are a diehard RCT fan, and just want to play something new, then pick up this RCT2 pack, otherwise you might want to try out RCT3.

Suprisingly addictive

When my brother and I first recieved this game as a Christmas gift, I was unsure as to whether I would enjoy it or not. I finally tried it, and my brother had some trouble getting me off the computer!

The goal of the game (unless you're on a scenario) is to attract as many people to your park as possible while paying back your loan. You can build all sorts of different rides and roller coasters including custom design and real rides from Six Flags theme parks such as "Colossus," "Texas Giant," "Goliath," and more!

I only have a couple of complaints. First off, there isn't much to be said about the graphics. Second, the people that visit your park become unrealistically queasy after a ride, and more times than not, throw up, leaving your handymen to clean up the mess. (Regardless as to how many first aid rooms you stick along the path out of the ride.)

Another one--the guests will sometimes just stick to kiddie rides. I remember one time I was on a scenario, and I built "Goliath." No one went on it! They were too scared! And a lot of times, the custom design rides would be too scary for them. (But I probably don't count...my rides are CREEPY!) But if any of the guests make you mad, you can pick them up, and drop them in a body of water and leave them to drown. I'm not saying that it is the right way to deal with it, I'm just saying that it's an option.

But all that aside, this game is a blast, and I highly recommend it.

T.K., 14

(Psst! If you want to have your revenge against all those people that hate your park, keep them in by posting up "No Entry" signs in front of all the park exits. Park turned prison!) (They will all get very angry after a while...)

A MUST HAVE FOR ROLLER COASTER TYCOON FANS!!!

If you played and enjoyed RCT 1 you must get this game. The new rides and parks are awesome. With all of the new choices for the rides, this game is much more enjoyable than the first. Once I started playing this, I could not put it down.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone, especially Roller Coaster Tycoon fans.

The original was perfect. This one is slightly better. One of the best PC strategy games ever. My son and I have been playing it for years.

Not such a bad thing for new players

Yeah, it probably is RCT 2 with the two expansion packs. But for that price I'm going to go ahead and get it. It's a great buy for those of us who haven't bought RCT 2 yet. I bought the first RCT set the same way (I think it was called the "gold edition") and didn't regret it a bit. So if you don't have RCT 2 yet I would recommend this pack because it's the best bang for your buck.

If you liked the 1st game you'll like this one.

This is just as good as the 1st Roller Coaster Tycoon, It is pretty much the same, but with just added features, like new scenerios, rides, scenery & etc... The newest feature that I like the best is how easier it is to bulldoze scenery & things, you can now do a larger area, instead of just right clicking on every object. So if you liked the 1st game you will love this one.

Game was good-service could have been better

Though I did receive the game just as I ordered, it took longer than it should have to arrive at my house. It surpassed the last day of the range I was supposed to expect. I think I got it 2 or 3 days after that, actually.
