Brilliant game- kept the grandchildren occupied for hours - and they're still playing the game (and so are their parents)

Fun and entertaining

My kids enjoy this game. It keeps them busy for at least an hour.

A "save" feature would have been nice!

In this game, Putt-Putt the car has to find his four items that have accidentally been sent to different eras in time. It's a friendly game with no "bad guys" or tense situations, but as other reviewers have pointed out, it seems quite difficult for the age range listed. The four items you have to collect can take some time to acquire, which made the lack of a save feature very frustrating-- especially since the game does have a "randomizing" feature that lets the items be hidden in several locations. I remember well the time my five-year-old daughter had found three of the items and only needed the last one to win (she had never won the game) and we had to leave for a weekend trip, so the game had to go off. Since there is no way to save the game, it has to be done all in one shot which is unrealistic to expect-- plus the child has to start at the beginning each time and have the long and un-skippable conversation with Firebird, etc.

She eventually did complete the game and replays it from time to time, but there's just no excuse not to be able to save in a game like this. All games should have this feature! Hopefully if the games are re-released, they will fix this.

I bought this game in a variety pack at a wholesale store for my 4 year old. At first, he had a little trouble with the game as far as operating the controls and understanding what was expected. Eventually, he got around that and has started playing by himself. As with any kids' software, parents should always play with the children as they start. There will be a learning curve, but you have to keep at it and be patient. This game teaches problem solving, shapes, puzzles, direction following and several other skills. One of the really neat aspects is that you have to go to different areas to find solutions to problems in places you have already been. For instance, you might need something from the Wild West to solve a puzzle in Medieval Land. There is a lot of back and forth, but it is really worth it when your child figures it out. Our son has a speech delay and it has also helped with his word recognition and ability to communicate.

I'm StoryMaker and I am reviewing Putt-Putt TTT! First, we made Action Peps, many pep-like dogs (Pep is also one, but we ussaly call him Regular Pep) and there are Mean Action Putt-Putts (Regular Putt-Putt is good though). This game used to be complex (like other reviews mention) but now we've learned all the answers and it's a bit boring, but there are fun games in most places! I'm not saying them cuz my last review had a [...] bug. And in the castle times you need to put the wheel back on Woodword but you must click the wheel once to do it! Some kids would think you needed to use a tool. It's confusing. But this is a good game, maybe not good for under 6 according to other reviews. Signed, StoryMaker. "Gotta trust the kid's review!" PS: Putt-Putt Circus isn't as fun. It dosen't change.

Very difficult for a child's game!

I am an adult and I was having trouble with this one. My child and I had a ton of trouble with this game. Could not find a gas can anywhere which is an item that was needed. We found the homework assignment, but that was the extent of that. Then we were lost! Shame as this was a cute game with nice graphics and all. Should have had hints in the game. Very limited in where your child could go with putt-putt.

3 year old LOVES Putt Putt

I came on to Amazon to see if there were other titles in the Putt Putt series since my son loves this game so much. I would not have guess that he would get the game as well as he has. He is able to navigate the entire game and solve the problems which can be quite complex (in one senerio Putt Putt can't get past some thorny vines in the Dinosaur world - Max figured out that he needed the armor from the Castle world which he had to buy with a nickel picked up from Western World). Putt Putt helps you along and everything is explained very well.
The best part of the game is that it changes every time it is played.
Every child has different learning levels, especially at this age (3-5) so it may not work out for your child as it does mine.

Confusing - Nonsense

We've played other Putt-Putt games, but for some reason, Travels Through Time is not only confusing to my 5-yr old child, but he has no interest in it. This is the kid who plays Freddi Fish over and over and over, same with Pajama Sam. Maybe it's for an older child, but I'd still not recommend it. I think the whole game is nonsense.

Its amazing how creative this game and all other Putt Putt games are. Don't hesitate to get this for a child of any computer skill level. All the controls are purely intuitive.
