Urban Chaos is one of the best games I have seen as of yet. Tho it may be old school by todays standards it is great. I have played many Comp games and this is by far one of the best. The "World" of Urban Chaos is well put together and rather realistic. Albeit not quite what the "Real world" is but what fun would that be if the gaming world was just a carbon copy of the real one? The artistic turns from the real world to the game are in taste and well done, Also you can play as both the "Cop" or the "Robber" so for those of you who like to be on the wrong side of the law in the games you can. This game was made at the turn of the century so it still has the old game feel but some of the new game tricks
so try it, it is worth every penny.

Urban Chaos is one of my favorites. You play the role of a tough cop who saves the city from being taken over by a ruthless gang. The game is made by Eidos who made Tomb Raider, but this is better than Tomb Raider. You can do much more in it than just shooting enemies as in a first-person shooter game. You can fight, you can shoot, you can use a knife or a bat to attack enemies, or you can just tackle them down and arrest them. You can explore large environments and take different paths to your destination. You can also slide down telephone lines, climb fences and gratings, drive vehicles, shoot exploding barrels, throw soda cans. The graphics are also great. The buildings actually have 3D wall textures, windows and doors are in 3D. And this is an older game designed for Pentium II computers which still has these great graphics. These are things not all video games can boast of having. One of the best things I like about this game is that the whole game is relatively easy to play, as levels advance they don't get harder to play unlike as in other games where upper levels get nearly impossible to beat, and that's in the easy difficulty setting. Urban Chaos has no difficulty setting, just one setting, and that is fine with me as long as I can win the game. The flaws in the game are minor and I would hardly give any attention to them. One problem is you may find the keyboard control for exiting a fight may not work very well and you are locked into fighting to the death if you happen to be overtaken by several opponents at one time. That can be frustrating, but that's not really a big problem. Another less than favorable aspect of the game is that in some levels you have to acheive goals within a time limit and those time limits, at least in my experience, aren't very lenient. I found more often than not I have to rush to beat the time limit and I end up failing the goal and I keep having to start over. Luckily there's a cheat code for automatically winning the game and by using that I can just bypass those timed levels altogether. I can ramble on about other great things about this game such as it has a good storyline, it has good voice acting, it has humor. Overall this is a really fun game.

I've heard many allegations that this game is rubbish. But I resent this comment. Although some the the game may be rushed it still holds some wicked gameplay. The could of had a few more cars to steal and an easier way of stealing them. I found the cinematic sequences really good too, especially the intro which if you haven't watched already do. It's got a well constructed storyline, it doesn't go too far over the top. It also has LOADS of missions and because there's so many, there'll be some you want to play over and over again. I did find that because my computer isn't that fast, some of gameplay was very slow, like the fighting and shooting. However, one thing that I would never put in a game that they did is a compulsory training programme. Simply, you had to complete the training before you could start any real missions. I used cheats to skip the training as most people would want to get into action straight away. However, on the realism side, it isn't that real at all, but still great fun. The soundtrack is quite good too.

This game has probably has the best graphics I've seen yet! It has excellent effects, and a pretty twisty but very interesting story. There is however a different side to this. Since I have a very HIGH-PEFORMANCE machine this game is brought to the max. However I brought it to a friends house that has a computer who is about 2 years old and the graphics and all-out game were slow and sluggish. But that still doesn't take away from the fact that this is an overall good game. However, there is another Con I spotted out about this game. Most have you have played Tomb Raider. Urban Chaos is pretty much exactly the same, just different story and the main characters are different(but they are both women). So just be AWARE when buying this game, if you already own Tomb Raider(1, 2 3, or 4, it doesn't matter).
All in all, AN EXCELLENT GAME for anyone with a high-peformance machine and that doesn't own Tomb Raider. I would rate this a 5 Star if it worked great on anything, but it doesn't.

I usually disreguard a review if the person just does not have enough computer power or is not good at the game. That is why I listened to the positive reviews and bought this title. There are several ways to defeat gangs of thugs if you don't just rush in swinging your fists. I had a gang of hoods chasing me and stole a car. I then came around the corner full speed into the gang. Violent, yes, however this is one example of how open this game can be. You can lead criminals to other cops, or combine weapons and moves in a fight, or climb on rooftops and snipe. The action is fun with very gjood graphics and sound. This is a great buy with missions that usually only take about 15 minutes each.
Needs a fast machine...

Very nice game to play around with...it's great fun to be a cop, drive around recklessly and shoot the crap out of villains. Unfortunately this game needs a LOT of power to get the most from it. I run a PII 350 with 128 MB RAM and a Voodoo 3 2000 card. The Voodoo lets me down in this game, although it plays Unreal Tournament at an excellent speed. I had to turn off lots of textures to get a good playable speed going.
The levels are interesting. You have a couple of objectives and they throw in optional ones during the levels. Fighting more than one bad guy is a nightmare! If they had used a targeting button (a la Zelda) then this would make life sooo much nicer!
Enjoy the game, but don't pay more than 20 bucks for it!
It's Strategy, Action, and Advanture all in one.

This is a great game and also very realistic. At some points of this game, I felt like I was actually on the streets of Union city kicking the bad guys's asses and arresting them for terrorizing the city. Although the story of the game is a little weak, but the graphics and the interaction with the virtual world of the game makes it a must buy.

What a wonderful title for anyone looking for action. I have only played a demo but from what I played, I loved every minute of it. The graphics in this game are awesome. You just can't stop playing it for all the features. Interaction between other characters is nice. It makes it seem more interesting and realistic. Games similar to this title such as Fighting Force and Die Hard Arcade can relate to this title. I also think a good attribute of this game is the opportunity to drive around the streets of the city. Overall it is the best third-person action game I have ever seen and played. You can eexpect me to get the full version. I recomend you do the same! It kicks A$$
very challenging and a lot of fun.

This game can seem almost impossible at first. The funny thing is that it doesn't matter because one has so much fun just playing the game that you can forget aboout your objective(s). Once one gets going with the game though it becomes much easier but still stays challenging. This game is about figureing out how to complete missions. There is more than one way to complete each mission as well which makes it fun to play the levels over to try to find new thing.
I wish I could explain this game better but I can't so if you really want to find out how fun it is and what it is really like go to the Urban Chaos web site and download the demo. I had a lot of fun playing just the demo for hours. Imagine the whole game!

I will admit I am not much of a fan of the action game genre, I never really liked the shoot em ups and the fighting games. But Urban Chaos is a very well done exception It provides the player with a wide variety of things to do, between fighting a crook and trying to talk down a jumper from the roof. It takes on a lot of ideas and accomplishes them all. One downside of this game is it can be a little repetative. But this can also be a good thing, too. Another downfall is when you are fighting more than one person, this can be downright painful to endure. But through and through the game is excellently crafted and enjoyable to play.
