I disagree that you can't get doubles, only singls or homeruns I don't know what he's doing wrong but i can get triples and inside the parkers(read two or so reviews down. Anyway this is a great game with great grafics. They could have don a better job by making it harder considering my players are hitting 750 and there 2/3 of the way through the season. The main thing that makes triple play stand out aside from the grafics is creating your own player. You can make your player to exactly the way you want him, all the way down to his goves, bat, and fashial hair.

The Best Ever!

Triple Play 2000 is the best game ever made by EA Sports! Your created player can make the leaders, play in games, gets ranked in points and can when awards! The homerun challenge is pretty fun, although I think that the season is quite better. The playoffs isn't that fun unless you play them after a season. Single Game is pretty fun, I would give it 2nd out of all of the features. I would give Season 1st!

Triple Play 2000's MLB situations make you feel like a true pro baseball player. The true colors, real teams, and precisely detailed stadiums make the games more realistic than other video games. This game has all of the 1999 teams, players, and uniforms. Each stadium has their own announcers. Triple Play has night and day games. These good traits are what I based my 5 star rating on. I would recommend this game to anyone who asked me to recommend a game.

Triple play 2000! Sounds exciting? Well, there are some really good things to it, and some really bad things- GOOD THINGS- 1.It contains great stadium features and life-like stadium graphics. 2.It features multipule choices, if you don't want to play a game, play homerun derby! 3.The statistics are incredible and the players actions are unique. BAD THINGS- 1.The game lacks simple features-like players unique stances and pitchers unique wind-ups. 2.Every once and a while there will be a 5-second pause in the game, kind of like there is a bug in it... 3.The comentary is boring and makes it less exciting, it should be more exciting. 4.The graphics of the players faces are not that detailed, and they lack simple features.

So overall, I would suggest that you buy this product, if you can shove aside some minor draw backs. I highly suggest it to all of you sports crazy fans, if you're looking for a thrill!

I Love This Game But...

EA Sports Triple Play 2000 is a good game to play.It definitely is a hitters game. The only thing about most hits to the fence was, they were only singles. Even most of the fastest players couldn't get doubles in this game. If you keep using the power swing button, any one player could hit 2 to 3 homers a game, that's alot of long ball. If you create a pitcher not on the roster, he only has a fast ball, and no other pitch. If you decide to use rosters of the major league teams after the trades and demotions, you can only do 25 players. To some teams, that's the whole team.

Triple Play 2000 is a pretty good game, but it has a lot to improve on! First off, the pros. It has excellent graphics and good gameplay. Thats about it.
Cons=
>The game locks up a lot, and when your in the middle of an unsaved pennant race, that can get to be nerve wracking.
>Second, when the fielder throws the ball, his arm doesn't always go in that direction. If he's throwing to the pitcher and he's facing him, his arm will go to the right as if hes throwing to 3rd base, but the ball goes to the pitcher.
>I was playing a game in the Astrodome (Houston), and one of my better hitters was up. He hit it to left field, and it bounced to the wall on one hop. Normally, it would have bounced off the wall, BUT, it went THROUGH the wall! I watched it on instant replay many times, and it simply went THROUGH! It was counted as a ground rule doubled, though.
>The computer is either too easy, or too hard. When on easy setting, I pound the compouter (20-0, etc). But when I but it on hard or normal, the computer beats me like there's no tomorrow!
Otherwise, the game is great. I hope Triple Play 2001 is A LOT BETTER!

Has anyone else experienced the nagging problems I have with Triple Play 2K? After playing a game using the keyboard, I lose control of the game and cannot access any of the commands on the screen such as "next game"; the screen continues to scramble and it's only by chance that clicking on quit allows a new game by starting over.

EA Sports was of no help in correcting this. This is the only software that acts like this on our computer. All of our drivers are current.

The lack of support and response to this problem raises doubts that I will purchase the next version.
