Disappointing

I was quite disappointed with the performance of this game. The graphics are choppy and many of the videos are fuzzy. There are better games out there for the money. Skip this one.

Weak, but an improvement. More upgrade than new game.

Far more realistic graphics now, with better movement of the hunter, zoomable maps, and fantastic landcapes... but... (there's always a but, isn't there?) for all this eye-candy, this is really just a re-vamped version of Big Game Hunter 1, 2, or 3.

Very few significant changes were made, though the addition of a more player-friendly shooting gallery style 'practice range' was a nice touch, it also broke one of the whole points of playing right out of the picture- those short videos of real animals to shoot at? They're now availible without even actually playing the game. A video shooting gallery option takes the prize out of wandering all over the map to find one.

My system had a LOT of trouble running this game, though I don't have a buff graphics card, so your milage may vary. The thing was slow as molasses, and the wider the zoom on the map, the slower it went. YOU try finding game within 15 feet of your hunter? but much farther out, and it ran very very slow. Scrolling was choppy and messy.

Overall, I was deeply dissapointed with this purchase. I didn't think it was worth the 20 bucks. It isn't so new that it's worth it, unless you already play your BGH 3 all the time, even though it's the same-old same-old. If you are one of those rare ones, then hey, by all means buy it. It's a nice upgrade. Otherwise, I'd say pass on this one.

This game is definitely worth buying for the inexpensive price but I don't really like the videos.I've had it for two weeks and I am still wery addicted to it.So if you like hunting you should definitely buy this game, its sequel (big game hunter 6), or try out trophy hunter 2003. If you do get this game I reccomend you to use a tree stand when hunting all animals. Also, don't buy this game in the 4-pack with other Cabela's games because the others are absoloutly no fun at all.

This is the most authentic hunting game I have played. Hunt big game with a variety of weapons and tools. Seek help from local experts, while navigating through varying terrain. Not a bad game for the $.

It's a good game for people who like to hunt. Especially like hunting varmints, which you are allowed to hunt in this game. One warning, make sure to check the requirements for the game. It takes a powerful machine to run it. It was not choppy at all for me but I have a 1 ghz machine. One thing that did happen, sometimes the graphics froze but all I had to do was control escape and the game would minimize and when I maximized it again it did fine. It's very realistic and I think it's worth the price. I have played all 5 of the series and enjoy this one the best. Enjoy!

This one is a keeper

I own all of the Big game hunter games and this game is really neat. It not only allows you to use their high tech virtual reality section but now you must scout for the game get permission and then eventually ask a private land owner if you may hunt on their property and then you must shoot varmints. I enjoy this game. If you have the requirements you should buy it but if you just bearly make the requirements you might have to look for another game. This game isn't made for a whimpy computer. I would recomend this game to all of the outdoor adventurists.
