You are a Colonial Marine, your motion tracker is beeping, saying something is twenty metres ahead. You cautiously step forward, searching the ground infront of you, looking in the shadows for movement. You can see nothing. Whatever it is is ten metres ahead, five, four, three, two, one, nothing. According to your motion tracker you should be stepping on the thing. But nothing is there. You scan the ground ahead and see nothing. Then you realise something. In horror you look up at the roof. In horror you stare at the alien extending its secondary jaws. You scream until it rips your head clean off. Then you're body drops limply to the floor. This happens regurlary in Aliens versus Predator. What is great is you can be the alien, stalking the marine, scaring him sh**less. You can also be the Predator, lurking in the shadows, cloaked so no-one can see you. You can pin marines bodyparts to the walls with your speargun as the Predator, spray the aliens acid blood across the wall as a marine or maul a bewildered Predator as an alien. You can also fight PredAliens, Praetorians, Androids and Cybernetic Aliens with guns. The fun is never ending, as is the gore. As long as you are not squemish you'll love this gun. For the full effect play this at night in total darkness with the music CD playing.

You are a clonial marine. Your squad has already been taken out by a group of vicious xenomorphs. You hold your pulse rifle close as you enter the alien hive. You can still hear the screams of your men in the distance. Soon they will be impregnated with an alien. Suddenly slime falls from the wall, you look up and the alien jumps down on you. These and more suprisies await you in this game. A must have for anyone

Never have I seen a game that keeps you on your toes, as well as the edge of your seat, better than this one. Alien vs. Predator has been my favorite concept overall for movies, games, etc. I am just now in the middle of reading the Alien vs. Predator screenplay that was made for a feature film, but never brought to the post-production stages. Not only were my two favorite series ever meeting to form a potentially great film, the one-and-only director Robert Rodriguez was cast to direct it. Although they did not carry this idea out, I'm sure in the near future they will. Anyway, this game captivates all of the suspense from both series, and unleashes them in a triple-bypass event of fright. Allowing access to any of the three characters is a genious idea. I highly suggest playing this game for anyone who is a fan of either of the series.

i am an avid gamer, and am very fond of the aliens series, so i thought that this game would be a dream come true. infortunately, it wasn't. first of all, there are only 15 different maps. the maps get reused so frequently, it gets boring after a while. the learning curve is vewry basic, despite what the box says, and the alien is by far the easyest (sp?) to use. the marine is at an unfair disadvantage, as he only has a limite4d number of weapons, and they get taken away after every level. instead of a campain, the game has a mission sstem, like a video game. on top of that, you have to beat on the most difficult setting to play all of the "unique" levels. this is IMPOSIBLE to do with the marine. what this game needs is a really good add on, to save it from the pits of video game hell. if you want a good shooter, for the same price, buy half-life, game of the year edition; it comes with a free copy of team fortress, a game that alone blows avp out of the water.

Alien VS Predator is the best "Alien" game released to date (I was actually fond of Alien Trilogy) and has a lot going for it. You can play as a marine, alien or predator. Playing as the Alien is the easiest and is pretty difficult to master as first. You will need to climb on walls, learn to pounce, and sneak up on your targets. As the Predator, you will need to use your fast arsenal of weapons, visions and invisibility features to win. The scariest and most fun character is the marine. You will need to collect weapons, health and watch your back at all times. You never know when an Alien is around the corner. And if you see or hear a face hugger, you better start shooting or run for your life. If one gets you, you WILL jump from your seat! The only drawbacks is that the save game feature is lame (if you download the patch, otherwise, there isn't a save game feature,) and the game will give you extra levels at the end, ONLY if you beat the game at a higher difficulty. Other than that, if you like the Alien movies, get this! I give this title a B+.

There have been other games, especially Half Life, that lay claim to the title of "Most Advanced 3D Shooter", but none of them come close to the sheer terror of Aliens vs. Predator.
This game initially lacks an in-level save option (you have to download a patch for that) as well as any kind of a running narrative plot, or any between level cut-scenes for that matter. But what this game does, it does PERFECTLY. And that is to put you into the body of a Colonial Marine, a Predator, or one of the Aliens.
Either character allows you to literally step inside make believe and interact with locations that up until now you could only view in the movies. Locations like the LV-426 colony, or the inside of the derelict Alien spacecraft complete with the fossilized pilot.
The highlight of this game is the third level while playing as the Alien. It is basically a recreation of the first Alien movie, but from the Alien's point of view.
For fans of the Aliens or the Predator movies, this game is an absolute must.

AvP is an excellent game.I enjoy the Predator the most.He has the best stamina and weapons. Your weapons are wristblades, speargun, shoulder cannon, medi-kit,pistol and disc. The human and Alien are also very impressive, so buy the game. Enjoy!

Combining atmosphere and a realistic feel with hard hitting action is exactly what the films (especially Aliens) associated with this game do so much to their credit. Aliens Vs. Predator is a game which perfectly reflects this. It is like playing a film, but being in it, experiencing it, living it. Nothing on the worldwide computer games market even comes close to challenging this game's atmosphere. The deathmatch play is also superb because each creature has different strengths and weaknesses and these make battles, especially with 3 or more players using the 8-player-capable system, intensely tactical, interesting, exciting and often frightening. Aliens Vs. Predator is a masterwork of computer gaming

THIS GAME SUCKS. Dont beleave the hype on this one. Beleave me, I am a die hard aliens&predator fan to the end. And it sadens me to have to say this. But the plan facts of this one are this game sucks. The creators of this one spent way to much time on the grahics and way to little on the controls of the charicters and gameplay. Sure the game does have some of the best images in it, but thats to only trick this pony can do. I hope that i just got a defective copy of the game becouse after about half an hour playing it i fell like a fool for using my money to buy it. I just cant stress enough how bad the controls are on this game. It was like the characters were on pcp, the slitest little tap on the controls sent them shooting all over the place, not the best thing to have happen when trying to track an alien. The controls are way over sensative and with no way to adjust them hitting targets is a challange to the best shoot. Another problem is that when your character gets hit the screen gets covored by a sheet the color your the creatures blood. blocking you from seeing what is going on in the game, which is bad since the computer keeps on attacking you and your death come soon after since you cant see to fire back or run away. So in conlucsion, stay away from this one, it could have been one of the best but just dosn't have what it takes. Save your money and look elsewhare.

I have never been a great fan of first person shooters, because I always found them shallow and scrappy. I was lent this game by a relative and after ten minutes of play I was hooked. The actual quality of gameplay was excellent and the graphics were to die for! The three- way character plot was well thought out, and the various weapons and different views made the game not only visually mind-blowing, but also spine-chillingly scary. Something always happens to make you jump! But I have one criticism of the game, because it lacked enough in-game movies to keep you aware of what was going on. I think that it could have been better, but altogether not a bad piece of action gaming! Well done Fox Interactive!
