While the movie The Goonies which came back in 1985 is now one of the most classic films of the 80s,I can't say the same for the game.I found it boring and lame.I wish it was better.

This game is not good. I remember playing this game when I was younger, so I recently ordered it. It's terible. first of all, the doors that make a loud thump sound over and over ever time you open and close them. second, he jumps stupid so you will fall alot. ...

The graphics are awfully and the whole game is confusing, you never know where you are going. It's also very boring and hard to jump.

The Goonies 2 is a genuine classic in the gaming world. It is one of the many reasons as to why the NES was so great. The story is that the The villians from the movie have escaped from prision and have captured a mermaid. The Goonies go to rescue her and end up being captured. As Mikey you have to rescue the others as well as the mermaid. You explore an abandoned mansion as well as caverns all throughout a huge game gathering weapons and items to help you. You also run into monks living in the caverns who either provide items or give out information. You even run into a cheesey super hero known as Captain Konami.
Overall this is a geniune classic and a must own for any gaming library.
