This is a very fun game. However, I ran into trouble because the instruction book the game comes with does not give you near enough information. I had trouble even making it through the tutorial without buying the strategy guide for another $15. Just be prepared.
The Mob rules but this game doesn't

This game could have been really cool if they had stuck with the mob concept, but instead they leaned more toward the comedy aspect. First, you are forced to play the tutorial, before you can start playing the real game. But the tutorial doesn't show you how to play the game. In fact at a couple points they leave you hanging as to how to acomplish certain tasks. The instructions book is no help either. The graphics were fair, nothing to wright home about. I recommend sticking with StarCraft or Sim City 3000. However, if you are really into the whole mob thing you still might want to check out this game.
Alot of potential

This game seems like it's gonna be alot of fun when you see it in the store. And, it probably will be, if I can figure out how to accomplish the things it wants me to. I agree with the other two reveiwers, the instruction book is almost no help at all... I'm getting frustrated by the tutorial! Doesn't bode well for the actual game itself. Guess I'll have to buy the strategy guide as well.
Not toooo bad.

The first day I played I felt the same way the previous reviewers did. Then I found out that once you get the hang of it the mission briefing is the easy part. I don't see why everyone is complaining about that aspect of the game when it is quite easy. The things yet to be completed are still red on the mission briefing, but once completed it disappears. What really is the sad part about this game is the fact is once beating the tutorial it seems to be just a bunch of set missions. Wheres the regular old game play with no missions just kill the other gangs. And once you beat about the first 4 out 5 missions ( I'm currently am on the final set of missions in Capital City) you get about all the buildings, and there is no more depth or anything intresting to do. Its the same old routine, and to make it seem hard they give your enemy a ton of gangsters to crush you before your even 5 minutes into the level. This game however for some reason is fun to play even with its lack of depth and true challenge will keep you up a few more hours than planned. Its worth a look, but not a very long one.

Yeah, it was a great game but the times when I got stuck were long. I haven't been able to beat the game because I'm stuck and I've given up! I am on the last mission the Capo or don has told me to do, but it won't let me go on. I am confused even though I have every gangster game out, this one's a tough one. If your good at these kind of games you'll probobly still have trouble unless your unbelievably great you'll definatly need to get a strategy guide.
NOTE:If you think I'm stupid or somthing...I DID USE THE CHEATS ON THIS GAME. IT DIDN'T WORKOUT!

I like this game. It is a simulation game with "cartoon" characteristics. You control an entire mob that needs to wipe out the other mobs. I found that the game ran very well and not very diffulcult to play. I really don't understand what the other reviewers complained about. I don't think any one should need a stratagy guide for this game. Mob Rule was quite funny, fun, and very entertaining, not to mention some strategy involved. It was the first P.C. game I beat, including all difficulty levels, and was not too challenging. I do not give it 5 stars, however, because it seemed just a little too simple once the gameplay was figured out. Bottom line: it is a good quality game worth the money. (4.4 stars)
Where do we go from here?

1) Don't buy this game. 2) If you buy this game, be prepared to think you are about to have a blast only to learn that there is no way around a dead end.
Complecated!

This game can be very fun! But the tutorial does not teach you much and can be frustrating trying to figure out what it wants you to do. The book that comes with it is a joke! To get far you will definetly want the strategy guide for it. If you like a mob game thats good go with GANGSTERS by eidos.
Starts fun but.....

This looked and started as great fun; however I can't even get through the tutorial without going bankrupt or in cement shoes. Just not enough instruction; it gets so frustrating I'm going to give in and get the book. Wonder if they made it that way?
Dont buy Mob Rule
