Completely WOW

I have been playing games all my life and this is one of the best games I have played. I had been following the production of the game and I was not disappointed about the wait. The story, the action and the music all blend together wonderfully. I just finished the game and you are completely glued and addicted to it until the end. One of the things I loved the most was the feeling of attachment and responsibility to my teammates that were fighting along with me and keeping them healthy. An instant classic.

As good as any hyped up game

This is what a pc game should be. It looks great, plays great, and the story is emmersive, and addictive. The really nice part about this is game is it looks just as good as any game out there with ridiculous requirements, and actually has very low requirements itself, reletively speaking. Some of the new games out there have extreme requirements, and the only thing about them that is different is the amount of cash you put into your system. The game is different from most shooters. The levels are intereconnected, and you can go back and forth from one to the other to complete specific tasks needed to complete others. I found the game to be challenging, and creative. A lot of the time you get the feeling you're actually there, fighting the commies. It involves a lot more planning, and strategy, then most shooters. As far as negatives go, the save system could use some improvement, but its not that bad. If you exit the game, you lose your quick save, this is a ptoblem. This game is definitley awesome, and as good as any hyped up shooter out there.

Doesn't work with Windows XP Service pack 2!

Do not buy this game if you have XP service pack 2 installed, It will not run, and the developer has no plans to fix it.

Good concept, glitchy and hastily released software

If you're looking to buy this game to actually use multiplayer, I'd see if you can rent it first (some video stores do) or check out the official website's message board and just take a look at the technical problems/questions string. You have about a 25% chance of multiplayer actually working, even if you have a top of the line system (I three different computers, all P3s or better with top of the line video cards.) I got Jedi Knight 2 the same day, and every aspect of that game works perfectly. So BUYER BEWARE

Definately not up to snuff.

I really wanted this game so I bought it and was initialy impressed. However, the action is mild, and wears off fast, and the camera is only ok. In general, it's not that good of a game, even though it was criticaly acclaimed. It's a RTS game with little action and no ability to play the adventure with your own characters. Overall, forget it. It's no fun.

Online play is awful.

The offline, single-player mode was okay I guess -- not the best story, but excellent cut-scenes, recognizeable characters, and pretty even-handed challenges.

Once that was over, I tried the online play, and that was just TERRIBLE.

What I was hoping for: an online game where users would model their characters perhaps after popular comic book characters like Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America, etc. and battle it out. As I recall I made myself a Hulk character to start out with -- impossibly strong, but also kind of slow.

Little did I realize that EVERYBODY online opts instead to use over-powered characters. If your character can't fly at incredible speeds and fire blasts that will instantly kill anyone, then forget about it. You can try to start a game up that limits the powers a character can have (by limiting the number of "points" the user can put towards the character), but nobody will play with you. They're all busy seeing who can press the "instant destruction ray" button faster. What fun.

Help me Minuteman, I have gum on my shoe!

Freedom Force is good and bad, why? For starters it has such a weird combat system, and the mission objectives are dumb. When you start out the you have Minuteman, then you get Mentor who, next to a weasel could have worse attacks. If theres one thing that'll blow up your CPU it's the multiplayer option. It's fun, if you get it to work.EA also threw in a create your own character, which you never get to use. What's the good thing about FF? The graphics aren't too bad and there's some pretty cool animations.Save yourself [money]and go buy Spider-man instead.

This is the worst game I ever seen in my life, really bad. Boring and stupid with terrible AI, terrible gameplay, no story, no strategy, nothing.
