Let me start of by saying that I did not ever want the Gameboy Color version of this game in the first place. I THOUGHT I was buying the Game Boy Advance version, but the person I bought it from gave me this piece of crap instead. The #1 complant I had was that it was not compatible with my Nintendo DS Lite, so I had to go dig up my Gameboy SP. The game itself is hard and I felt like I was playing a Pokemon game 98% of the time. Things randomly popping up at you? Hmmmm, that reminds me a lot like Pokemon. Turn based battles? Hmmmm, that reminds me of Pokemon too. The graphics reminded me of Pokemon too. If I wanted to play a Pokemon game, I would pick up a Pokemon game. If you don't want to waste your time and money, don't buy this piece of crap. EA didn't want to spend time and money making the game, so you shouldn't waste time and money playing the game.

I'm sorry but I really do not like this game. I got it hoping it would be even a little like its gamecube counterpart, but it wasn't. It was extremley confusing and I still have no clue how to do the spell things, even now. I have gotten stuck at Aragog and have no freaking idea how to get past him. And what are those blue rock things????? Everytime I got near one I'd have to fight an elf or something, which lowered my energy so I couldn't beat bosses. This game is so hard and so stupid I feel it's a disgrace to the other Harry Potter games, which were all very good. If you have another system, get this game for it, but if not, consider something else. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

This is the best game I have ever played. If you like Pokemon Ruby or Saphire you will love this. You gain attacks and get levels to help you. The ice attack is the best. I would reccomend this for 8-12 year olds.
Soooooooooo fun

I had no thought of getting another game. I went straight to it in the store. I thought that the game would be a lot easier. But I spent hours trying to figure the first part out. When I finally figured the game out,I couldn't take my eyes off it. It's a great game!!!!

How in the world am I going to beat ARAGOG?!?! I just can't beat it. The only thing I like was that the mini games were good. But this is a game where you can get stuck easily, so DON'T BUY IT!!!! Get Super Mario Bros. Deluxe That game is much better

Harry Potter is back in a great new adventure. When I bought this game it was so mutch fun that I did not want to stop. The game is so cool but sometimes it is very hard like at the giant spider aragog. You get to fly to Hogwarts batle your enemy's earn new spll's and be Harry Potter! I have so mutch fun. If you are a Harry Potter fan you should buy it and it is not vilent.

Got this game with christmas money. I'd read a few reviews and thought this would be a good game to get for my GBC. I was wrong. I've beat it about 10 times now and it's gotten old pretty fast. So if you want to play this game, rent it, DO NOT BUY IT. But I would recommend any Zelda games.

In my opinion, Harry Potter is the best book series I have ever read in my whole life. The game I thought would be bad because that's how it usually is with games based on movies. But this is just terrific! Here's how I rated it:
Graphics 4.5/5
These graphics aren't so great, but are excellent for a GBC game. In a lot of games, It's just a bunch of people walking around. In this, you can see onther things like, stirring cauldrons, wand fights, and even throwing up slugs!
Sound 3/5
The sound in this game is pretty good. But, the music can occasianaly squeak. Somtimes an annoying jingle can also get stuck in your head.
Gameplay 5/5
The gameplay in this is excellent!! You can fly a car, fight with toasters, watch Dobby bang his head on walls, challenge Professor Flitwick, throw gnomes, visit Hagrid, go bowling, shop in Diagon Alley, catch pixies and many other things that make this game exciting.
Violence Rate 2/5
I myself don't like violence. I think it is a creul thing. But, I mainly made this section for worrying mothers. Don't worry! The only violence is killing the Basilisk near the end. Even that isn't that violent. The basilisk just falls down when it dies. NO BLOOD. When you fight other things, instead of dying, they just run away.
Replay Value 5/5
I have already beaten this game twice and I still play it very frequently. The nonstopping fun makes you want to play it 24/7! Even if you don't like Harry Potter, you will love this game!!
Buy It. Trust Me. This game is worth it!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Alan Cote'

i saw this game on sale for seven dollars at a local going-out-of-business sale recently, and as a closet harry potter fanatic, i thought i'd pick it up and be mildly amused for an hour or two. little did i know i'd still be playing this underrated gem months later.
i was surprised at the depth, humour and charm this game offers. lets face it, most licensed games are utterly stinky, but EA has really outdone themselves here. "harry potter" is an engaging, challenging RPG simple enough for younger gamers and witty enough for older ones as well.
