This game is based on little army type worms that walk around a 2-D world and try to destroy the other team of Worms. It is a turn based game and the worms have cute little remarks when they attack, get hit, die and go to WORM heavan and more. This is a very fun game filled with funny sounds and sights. The game is full of replay value and will never get boring. WARNING! THIS GAME IS VERY ADDICTING, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVER PUT IT DOWN!

I have to admit with the other critics, that worms armageddon is a load of fun and has replay value. Your every attack will always be different. And the little remarks makes ya laugh. It's a cool and fun strategic game of war, but in a funny way. I recommend this fun time war action game to anyone who loves strategy. Your worms do pretty much everything. They do flips and careful aiming with your cross hair targeting. And they're loads of weapons to choose from. And one more thing, your worms can fly. Can ya believe it? Check this title out. It's worth what ya pay for.
A perfect game to pick up and play at any time

I was doubtful about this game before I purchased it, but I found it on sale, and let me just say that I'm really glad I got it. Worms is a turn-based strategy game that is definately toungue-in-cheek, so if your looking for a die-hard strategy game, look elswhere. On the other hand, if you ARE looking for a fun game that you can kill some time with and have laugh, then this is a good choice. The AI in Worms isn't that advanced, so it won't be long before you look at the terrain being a bigger challenge than the enemy worms, but it is still a blast to lay waste to the opposition. To me, this is what Gameboy titles should be: A short diversion that you can play while on the bus, waiting in a doctor's office, on a trip, etc., etc., etc. You WILL find yourself addicted to it, but you don't have to play for hours upon hours to get any deep satisfaction out of it. I do wish that there were more options and a way to save your progress, but it's still a perfect time waster (and I mean that in a good sense.)

If you have ever played Lemmings (who hasn't?) and more importantly, ENJOYED, Lemmings you will love this game. Although not as good as it's N64 and PC brothers, Worms GBC is still great! Over 14 weapons, two players (on same Game Boy), 54 Levels, and up to 4 worms on a team. It is GREAT! What more could Game Boy ask for?

Written by the same minds that produced Lemmings, we have a game where Worms crawl, jump, fly (yes, fly), and throw grenades, bazooka missles, and exploding sheep (yes, exploding shee...er...just trust me on this) at each other trying to be the last one standing... er... slinking... er.... crawling. Oh, whatever. It's "King of the Hill" with a small window. I wish it was bigger, but on a GameBoy you get what you can. It's an even better game for the PC, so get that one too!

Okay. I am a Worms Junkie. I love the game...(Worms Armageddon/World Party for PC). The Gameboy color version is about what you would expect from its primitive 8-bit processor. If you are considering buying this version, dont. The Gameboy Advance version, Worms World Party, is almost a near perfect conversion from the PC. I have the first screenshots, and it looks beautiful.

worms is a great game. You control worms in more then 50 levels with 14 wepons including bazoka, grenade, fire punch, dynimite, telport, baseball bat, jet pack, shotgun, airstrike, battle axe, blow tourch, sheep, banna bomb, and armogeddon.
In the game ypu can control 1-4 worms in one game that can last 5 10 or 15 minutes, In each game you can have 1, 3, or 5 rounds.
I gave it 4 stars because the screen is too small in game boy color. also in the nintendo 64 version you have about 60 wepons compared to 14 on gbc. The graphics are ok but the squeaky voices have been cut out. It is 5 stars if you have never played the pc or nintendo 64 version.I would recommend buying the pc or nintendo 64 version unless you are looking for a portable version.
Good ol' fashioned fun

Worms Armageddon on PC is my favourite game: you just can't get enough of it! So when I saw the GBC version on the shelves, I hurried to buy it. Well, although it has some flaws, I rate it the third best Gameboy Colour game, after Pokémon Gold and Tetris DX.
What I found disappointing was the lack of weapons. You don't even get ninja rope! But all the basic ones are there, like bazooka and firepunch. You even get some extras like battleaxe and armageddon (although armageddon is far more impressive on the PC). But the worst feature in the game is the sound. Not only have they cut out the dialogue, but they have changed the music into high-pitched digital tunes that sueak and squeal throughout the whole game (that is why I play with the sound off). My only other grumble is that it's a bit easy; I clocked the whole thing in about a week.
Apart from these, the game plays really well. The graphics are outstanding for gameboy, with highly detailed and colourful stages. Also, the stage design is much better than the PC version, with more emphasis on jumping skills (I love the pirate ship!). The controls are like worms 1, where you scroll through the weapons using the a and b button. Also, you can earn new themes by winning three times in a match (there are 48 in total).
Worms is a really awesome series, and the GBC version really hits the mark, although it can be improved. All worms veterans who own a gameboy colour should go and buy it; and for all you newbies, this game makes a fun diversion and has you coming back for more!

I wa recently turned onto the entire worms era by a friend of mine who insisted that worms shooting each other with insane weapons in entertaining. At first it was lame but then it became very addicting! I was on a road trip and saw the game on a shelf and figured...Worms is a fun game and this version is portable, why not? It turned out to be a small let down do to the amount of weapons and the complete lack of missions. The game is still great and is wonderful if you are a worm fan who travels a lot. But if you have a choice to get the comp/psx/DC/N64 version over this...go for it. Otherwise this is a really fun game with 40 some levels and 14 weapons.
Worms is the best!
