This came is awesome! It is a must for all Star Wars lovers. The podracers look like they're going the real speed and the 20 courses on 5 different worlds look cool. The only setback is the podracers aren't in very good detail during races. Episode One Racer is also very chalanging, for those who tend to beat video games really fast.

I will start this review with the good things about the game and complete it with the bad things. First off, S.W.E.O.R. has great graphics, everything is clear and detailed (for a gameboy). I was very impressed with this aspect of the game because I expected a blurry visitioned foggy like game like most of the gameboy racing games are like. Also, this game has an attached rumble pack. The rumble pack doesn;t really add to the game that much, and doesnt feel like you are in the game, but it is still cool to have the game rumble every time you crash into a wall.
The only let down to Star Wars Episode One Racer was the fact that the pod racer is very hard to control. For the first couple of days, even weeks, you will spend much of your time crashing into walls and banks which can be very frusterating. After you get the hang of the controls the gameboy players are semi-difficult to beat and also take some practice to defeat. Finally, this game lost my interest pretty fast.
Over-all I wouldn't buy this game. There are better racing games out there that are easier and more fun to play, not that this one was terrible, just medicore. If you still insist on buying this game after reading my review, it would be a total loss buying this game and you can recieve some satifaction out of it.
Pretty Decent Racer for the GBC

This game for the gameboy color only apparently is a pretty good racing game overall. I think though that it suffers from many of the problems that some of the other Episode I games suffer from in that it feels like it could have been better. The graphics during the opening and while viewing the ships and planets are pretty good, but I feel like the graphics within the game itself could have been better. However that being said this game is still a lot of fun, and the rumble pack does add some nice features at times. The learning curve seems to be pretty gradual, I got through the first couple of wins pretty quickly but then it started to take me about 10 races on average to win a new race. If you want to beat all the races on all the planets it could take some serious playing time. Overall though this makes a great game if you are trying to beat records or if you just want something to do real quick while your waiting. One small note unlike many of the GameBoy games that I play a lot I find this one hard to play while moving/walking and thus its not a good game if you use your gameboy while working out like I do.
WOW! THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME GAME!

This game is the best! I really don't know why so many critics keep bashing it! The game sports many different aliens and podracers from Star Wars, Episode 1. It's got so many courses with so much graphic detail that it'll make your head spin. The graphics are as smooth as butter, and there are awesome FMV (full motion video) clips from Episode 1! Also, for Star Wars music fans, there's "Duel of the Fates" and "Anakin's Theme" from the movie. Easy controls, so you can learn the game fast! Check out the headshots in the podrace selection screen! It's got a rumble pack, too, so you can feel the action (literally)! Reccomended to ALL gamers, and especially to Star Wars fans! Word of caution to buyers: it's only for Game Boy Color.

Star Wars Episode 1: Racer is a highly addictive racing game that will keep you on the edge of your seat for hours. Put yourself in Anakin's podracer, or into any of the other podracers that you win. The controls are fairly easy, but the gameplay is an enjoyable challenge. The rumble pack makes this game awesome, shaking the Game Boy when you fly over rough land or bonk into a building. There is also a fast-paced head-to-head two player option (with the game link cable). With perfectly flowing, pure realistic race action, this game is one of the best. I recommend it to everyone. You don't have to like Star Wars to enjoy it. Buy this game. Now.

Good game. I like it. Great game for all ages. If you like to race this would be a great game for you. The graphics are AWESOME!!! If you had to get a racing game this would be it. Pick any character. I like Anakin Skywalker. It even gives you the racer's stats. I like it. Your choice if you wanna get it. But my opinion is you should.

This is the best Game Boy Color game I have ever played in my life! The graphics are excellent, considering the graphical limits placed on the system. The sound is awesome, and I like the rumble pack that is included with the game. It has a great replay value, and the game play never really gets boring. The only thing I had trouble with was the tight turns, but even here it wasn't really a problem. Anyone who is a Star Wars fan, looking for a good GBC game, or buying for little kids should buy this game!

The best Gameboy game that I have ever played is Star Wars Episode I Racer. It is extremely addictive, and quite fun. The little rumble pack included is quite cool. This game takes a while to beat, and it is entertaining to beat Sebulba at the end. The variety of its graphics make this game worth its price.

I am 6 and play this by myself. Some of the turns are really hard . There are 3 races for each planet. It is not like the computer game. I have only won the first race on Tatoine. I don't like the Hoth race.
