This game stinks. The graphics are pretty good but the sound could use some help. It should be a little easier. When you get this game at first you will probably think that the game is great, but it will start getting horrible very soon. You will get stuck in a lot of places. If you don't you are a serious video game freak and should be honored. In conclusion, don't buy this game. I wasted [money] on it and hate it. DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!!!
Not as bad as one would think

Before Spider-Man became a box office smash and became everyone's favorite hero, Activision changed the way super hero licensed video games would be by releasing the surprisingly great Spider-Man games for the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. Eventually a GameBoy Color version would be released, and while it's nowhere near anything great, it is surprisingly solid and challenging. The graphics are typical 8-bit side scroller fare, but are colorful and well animated. Controls are simple and the enemies (especially Venom) are very challenging. This game is also surprising in the fact that it is more solidly realized than any other 8-bit or 16-bit home console game that was nothing more than a repetitive beat 'em up with a comic license attached to it. All in all, those who only have a GameBoy Color and are fans of the web head should give this a whirl.
TOO HARD!

I usually really like stuff that is spider-man but man does this stink. The levels are way to long. And their is hardly any plot at all. Plus, I got stuck a lot of places.

My 8 year old son has a bunch of GBC and GBA games (still has both controllers, even though GBA will play GBC games). Still, this GBC game is in his top three. He plays it all the time. So, gotta give it a five-star rating.
The best Gameboy colour game.

It is too hard but it is still miles ahead of anything else on the Gameboy colour. I am not that good at hanhelds but I manged to get pretty far in the game and I have beaten Venom, The Lizard, Hobgoblin and Venom again. I am now fighting Venom a 3rd time and have found I can't beat him. The birdds are also pesky too. But it helps that the better you play the more points you get which gives special moves which makes fighting a hell of a lot easier. I have had a lot of fun with this game and as soon as I learn how to beat Venom again I will no doubt have more fun with it.

WHEN I FIRST GOT THIS GAME I THOUGHT IT WAS GONA BE COOL. WHEN I PLAYED IT IT SUCKED FIRST. I KEPT ON PLAYING IT AND AFTER A WHILE I LIKED IT. FIRST YOU HAVE TO GO FIND VINUM. THEN YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE SUBWAY TO FIND LIZZARD. I STARTED TO LIKE IT WHEN I FOUND THE LIZZARD AND I HAD TO GO TO THE DOCKS AND FIND THE HOB GOBLINE. YOU MIGHT LIKE IT TOO. YOU COULD SWING THROW BUILDINE THROW WEB BALL AND BIT UP VINUM.

This game is wack the graphics are a 2 out of 10. The sound is choppy. The gameplay is too easy. I beat this game in three days. If you are a spider-man fan like me get this game on playstation NOT gbc. This game is nothing like the playstation or n64 one. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ON GAME BOY COLOR BUY IT ON PLAYSTATION OR N64. EVERYTHING ON THE PS, AND N64 ARE TOTALLY BETTER!
