Duke Nukem on GBC

I came into the game with high expectations, and I can't say that I was dissapointed. The game was actually one of the better games on the GBC during it's time of release, but now...
GRAPHICS- Bloody, Duke will walk no more than 5 feet and see blood all over the wall, not that that is a bad thing. Now I have to admitt that the detail is really nice and colorful, but Duke himself is rather bland. Oh and the cut scenes are awsome!
SOUND- The shotgun sounds great, but as unfortunate as it is, every weapon after that sounds exactly the same. On a positive note, the game does have an impressive soundtrack.
GAMEPLAY- This is where the game wrecks everything that it otherwise had going for it. Slow movement, fast bullets, almost impossible to dodge. The game runs in five simple steps.
1.shoot
2.see the awsome blood effects
3.get shot
4.find health
5.repeat
In conclusion, the game is good, you just know how to work with it, but most players will find this a frustrating, hit and run miss.
oh dear

I like my gameboy. I like duke nukem on the pc.
Duke Nukem for Gameboy is awful!
Obviously I wasnt expecting fancy 3D graphics and speech, but this game is the most basic of platform games.
There is nothing original at all here, and it is simply a case of extending a good brand one stage too far.
A pity, but there you go...
VERY GOOD

Its not terribel just nothing special. Its graphics are bad but everything moves smoothly and unlike alot of gb games you can save your game. You just walk, find keys and shoot aliens. they guys bleed, just not alot. Sometimes they break in halk or there arms come off. Over all its good if you need dn portable.
A great game!

I love Duke Nukem from PC and Playstation. While I must admit this game is fun it can in no way live up to the other system versions. I missed alot of the sick jokes that make Nukem games so fun. Like after you shoot a pig with a rocket launcher, Duke would say something like "Mmmm I smell bacon". Stuff like that. Still it's worth it.

I remember when i saw this game in a store and i all ways wanted to get it but i had no money. So i had to sell 4 playstation games 1 game boy game 2 computer games to get it. ...i got mad until i got Duke Nukem for game boy. When i played it it was money well spent cool graphics and cool colors. And when i saw there was blood i forgot i was playing on a game boy.Cool weapons a shotgun, machine gun, stun gun, grenade launcher, rocket launcher and a flame thrower. Just wait till you get to level 2 you'll melt with joy when you get the chain gun one big s.o.b ha ha ha.And theres 36 or more enemies.21 levels of killing. You get to ride in a army tank and a rocket ship. This is not like duke3d for the computer its like Duke 1 and 2 but is still cool.i remember when duke3d came out in 1986 my step dad was a tester so he got a beta version. I hope this helped you. bye.

Nowhere near as good as the Duke Nukem 3D for IBM platform. Looks a lot like Contra from the NES days. If you are looking for the same action as Duke Nukem 3D, look elsewhere as this does not contain first person graphics, Duke sound effects, etc. I am very sorry that I bought this.
Wow !

This is one of the best games for GameBoy console! this is a transportation of Duke Nukem 2 for PC, and has nothing to share (apart for the mighty character) with Duke3D game...
It's colorful, fast, furious, fun, and save your games!
If you like fast action games, buy it!
Excellent Game

Being deployed overseas, soldiers are always looking for something to occupy their minds and wanting something to help ease their minds. Duke Nukem is very challenging and was more than worth the money spent on it. I am very impressed with the different levels and the wide array of weapons that can be used. Playing this game will make you wonder whether you are really playing a Gameboy.
Good game for GameBoy Color.

It is not made to simulate Duke Nukem 3D, it is supposed to simulate the original Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem 2. The game is well planned for Game Boy color even though it has limited graphic abilities. The sound effects are good, it has good graphics for the GameBoy system and there are many levels. It's a good RPG game. This is a simulation of Duke Nukem 2 not Duke Nukem 3D and it is not wise buying a game without testing it 1st. So, if you're into RPG's, get this game. If you want a 3D Shooter, get a laptop and a 3D game. I hope this review helped you.
