It's been a while since I played Crystallis on NES. It was cool, so I got the GBC version. It was cool too, but some things were changed, like some animations were made less cool, and the entire last area was changed... Why they did that, I dunno. Great game though. If you can, get the nes version, but this one is just as much fun.

This game is really good if you like RPGs. I'm new to RPG playing, but this is the best game I have written. I love having to explore everywhere to find everything you need. I love the fighting that is involved. Hack-and-slash is one of my favorite things. I also love learning all of the spells and talking to everyone. The only problem I have is that it takes a while to get to all of the new towns, especially if you stop to fight all of the monsters that you meet. I recommend this game for anyone, and everyone, who likes RPG.

This game is awsome. The story is, a guy named Dragonia uses technology and magic to rule the world. You gather the four swords of the elements and make the sword crystalis and free the world from his grasp.
This is a great game and I would recamend it to any body.

This game cand not be compaired to Zelda. Just can't, and you know why. Because this is nothing of the a third rate game with dum monsters and no skill once or ever. Play The first Zelda game. Its way more easy.

In an age of new RPGs and Adventure games such as Zelda 64, Quest 64, Zelda DX and such, it seems unlikely an 8bit game created for the original Nintendo would hold that well. However Crystalis proves that a great story, lots of different types of enemies and interesting characters can stand up against flashy graphics any day.I've had this game over two months and still love it. It starts out easy and its an easy game to pick up and play. After a few minutes of play you'll be hooked. It only has a few voice samples (when you find a new sword) but the music is great for a Game Boy Color game. I highly suggest buying this game as well as Warlocked (see Warlocked for GBC). They will offer many, MANY hours of fun! Promise.

For those of you who played Crystalis for the NES know what to expect from this. Crystalis can be considered one of the first RPG's ever introduced, and its a great one at that. This game could be compared mainly to the Legend of Zelda, except this features leveling up and magic spells. There's more to this game than to the Legend of Zelda really. You can purchase armor upgrades, items, gather spells, achieve better swords, and of course, you must defend your world against the ultimate evil. Crystalis has great graphics, sound, control, and is overall a fantastic game. Its not the greatness that Zelda is, but its the next best thing.

This is one of the best adventure games I have ever played. I had it for my NES, and as soon as my firends saw it they got it. This is a classic adventure game that Zelda like game fans should not miss.
they took the original one and butchered it

ok first of all i must say this is one of the best rpg's in NES but not so much in GB. since the GB color's screen was so small the game was edited so that the character would look bigger on screen taking away some visual radius, meaning you will be closer to the enemies before you can see them.
they also changed the story a little, in the first one the main character was a scientist who built a flying tower and was frozen before the end of the world due to nuclear war and mutants roamed the lands of the future were magic is also available. in the GB version he was one of the people who developed magic powers and went into hivernation, the tower's there too and so are the beasts but more magic less sciece. simply put an age of magic replaced an age of technololgy(vissionaries style).but that's not so important.
now the worst thing they did was to change the musical score completely and replace it with a horrible one, if you played the original game and remenber how cool the music was, playing while listening to the new music might be frustrating and even anoying. i don't recomend this version exept if you're too curios to see the differences but in my opinion its not worth it.
