Between the ability to customize your own planes (once you have the cash) to the intelligence of the AI this is a great game. The missions are varied, its just too bad there's only 26 of them. If you get this game, get on the Gamezone, we need more targets.

Wow!!!

The graphics are incredible and the action is superb. Dogfighting in the clouds or over Manhattan at night is awesome

This is a quantum leap in flight sims.

I have to start by saying that this game has some very nice graphics and is highly enjoyable to play, however is has some major flaws. The single player campaign is sort of short, only 24 missions, and it will leave wanting much more. The big problem is multiplayer. Despite the fact that MS made this game and runs The Zone, attempting to play multiplayer via The Zone will leave you very angry. 95% of the people, including me, have the game crash on them every time a mp game is launched. Having tried it over LAN, this game is a lot of fun in mp, so having it crash every time leaves you extremely angry at the fact that its not compatible with a gaming service made by the same company!

Your machine WILL crash, but you will still want to play it

I read all the bad reviews, But after downloading the demo I was hooked. I thought, maybe the full version won't crash my system every other time I play it. wrong, it did. I had the same problems everyone els did, it would just freeze and I would have to restart, basicaly, a major pain in the a**. I tried the above mentioned things (the "patch" and Direct x 8, still the same. I think it is a ram problem, I have 128 mb, and most of the bad reviews I have read have the same. So, on a whim I disabled all the in game music, and set the sound quality to low, and it didnt crash! well, every now and then but still much better, I guess the music uses up that last little bit of ram the game needs. Also, in instant action, I limit the number of enemy planes to 3 or so,this seems to help too. Even the menus arent so sticky now. I hope this will helps out. it is easily a 5 star game, when it works.

Great Game, now if Microsoft would port High Road to Revenge

Great game, excellent value at $9.99. Perfect for LAN parties at this price too.

If the Beta version is any indication.....

Playing the Beta version of Crimson Skies from Microsoft has been an adventure. While the game is still not quite finished, it is already a blast, as long as you don't mind the lack of physics when flying. The graphics, sound, and characters/images are amazing, and the music is right on. Will the real version of the game be better? Absolutely, and I can't wait!

About that load time--

I'll keep this short! I found the game unplayable on a P350, 64 MEG of memory. Great graphics, unbearable load times--Network play was great (person to person, not via the zone).

I recently borrowed a p750, GeForce2 with 256 meg of memory. What a dream! The game works well, most of the loading issues go away. It's just...considering what they list as their min. requirements. I say 3 stars.

I love this game, but can't play it to save my life. I have a Pentium II 400 MHz with 96 MB RAM and a Voodoo 3 Video Card with 16 MB VRAM on it. Every single mission crashes NEARLY every single time I play the game. I have only been able to manually close the game once because all other times it crashed on me. I have all settings on low and still the problems. I meet or exceed all system requirements. And I have installed the latest patch. Can anyone help me? yardgod@pacbell.net

I just got my hands on this sim and have had nothing but FUN every since I loaded it into my computer. The graphics are excellent, the sounds are superior, and the chatter is very intertaining. Althought this may not be for the serious WWll flight simmer (cause it has nothing to do with WWll) it is hours of entertainment. I have recently added 3 flight sims to my collection and I have to admit this has been my favorite.

Addictive and Great looking

This game has caught my attention for a while. it is well paced and has stunning graphics if your system can run them smoothly. The only downside I've seen is that you can't choose your own mission, the game does it for you and it's always the same sequence of events.
