Whoa, the jumps are awesome

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 8 / 9

Race as fast as you can over 7 tracks set in San Fransisco. Jumps, crashes, and secrets galore! Outrageous physics that will send you flying in the air with the slightest of excuses. The most fun to be had in a racing game.

The steering and music are awful

While I agree that the jumps rule, the steering is awful. I know a car can't jump hundreds of feet in the air and then land without a scratch but the cars don't handle realistically. And the music is some of the worst music I've ever heard in a game, even worse than Metroid. But its the only car racing game I have for the N64, so what am I gonna do? Stop typing.

Good Cars, Good Jumps, Bad Steering!

This was a really good game. Though the steering may be tight it gives a slight challenge makes you use that brake pedal. I like how you cant take every hit so it makes it even more of a challege plus the speed in this game is excellent.

Loved it so much. At first I thought it was going to be dull, just like any old racing game, I was way wrong.

This is an excellent racing game, I dont care if it is on a dated console, it is still one of the best! Shows how good the game was made and how the N64 can stand up to the test of time. But I do wish they would create a version for the PS2 though. Anyway this is an awesome game and I always play it(most of the time while listening to Rammstein)and it never grow old. You cannot say that about alot of games, but this one you definitley can. It is a must have if you own a N64 and if it comes out on a next gen console like the PS2 I am definitley gonna buy it. Higly Reccomended!

Receied the order 21/2 weeks after ordering, game does not work and i have emailed the seller numerous times to no avail with where or how to return the game and get a refund. I will not be placing/buying anything again via this system, even from other sellers, since they cannot be trusted. people, what can you do except stay away from them

Excellent home conversion of arcade game.

As a package, SFR is one of the best arcade conversions ever -- plus a lot more for the home player. The programmer, Ed Logg, is a prince of the arcades. His previous games include Asteroids, Centipede, Gauntlet, Steel Talons, Hard Drivin', and the original San Francisco Rush. I'd love to see more of this kind of work on the more recent consoles.
