The game is good, seemed to take a long time getting to me though. Should have been a couple of days, took almost two weeks, other then that everything went well.

One of the most underrated games EVER!

I can't believe my eyes! My review is the first (and perhaps the last) to grace this brilliant piece of gaming, and even though I am more than confident that perhaps not a single pair of human eyes will pose themselves on this review in what remains of life to this Universe, I think I will pay my respects to this great strategy-FPS-Gorefest.

Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels is a brilliant strategy based FPS of old school PSX (there is a 3DO edition as well) set in the distant future.

The "Blood Angels" is a religious-political order(Try to think of them as future day Crusader/Templars) that has conquered space and established itself as the most efficient means of warfare. Even though some of the Crusader (They all happen to have Judeo-Christian names, such as Ezechiel, Jacob, etc.) are blessed with the gift of psychic powers -used to detect the presence of psychic activity- they all carry a wide arrange of weapons, including: Guns, Rifles, Flame-throwers, Grenade-throwers, Energy Swords, Chain-saws and Drills.

The game takes place inside a derelict spacecraft, taken over by a horde of super intelligent, albeit primitive, alien beings. Although not crafted in the art of technology, these creatures are efficient hunters, equipped with a powerful set of arms, legs and claws, capable of tearing apart a Blood Angel's armor like butter. Some of these aliens can develop psychic activity, slowly mutating until they develop a human-like physical appearance.

The missions are not your conventional FPS'. The first three or so missions you are nothing but a low Blood Angel who receives and most carry one orders, (The game environment usually includes more than one player, some of the missions can include more than 20 Blood Angels, with up to 10 Blood Angels at once on the screen!) but as you progress through the spaceship, you need to give the orders and carry on the mission with the less casualties possible. Some missions will be straight and easy, such as picking up a battery cell, closing doors, or defending entry ways while the rest of the Brothers carry on the mission. Other times, though, you will be forced to sacrifice a few of the Brothers in order to carry on the mission.

But there is more!!! Not only do you get the Space craft missions, but a wide set of training missions as well, some of them more difficult than the actual game itself!!

It is too bad this game is no longer available, (But it is even more bad that I traded my copy for a lame game called Tomb Raider 3!) if you enjoy strategy and FPS games, you should get your hands on this rarity as SOON as you see one, you won't be disappointed.
