One of square's bestand very underappriciated, the best Fighters game out, the quest mode has a great battle system(it could use a little better story line though)

This was a Squaresoft masterpeice! It sort of reminds me of Super Smash Bros. because it has characters from some Squaresoft games. If you've never played it, you should!
Great game!

This truly is a marvel of fighter/rpg games. As mentioned, yes it is great for all of you fans out there for RPG games such as Final Fantasy, but the RPG side of this is great, too. One of the only things I didn't like about it which soon grew on me was how you could always go back into an area and there would still be guys there you killed beforehand. That was because at the time I did not take into consideration how much experience to level up that gave :)
However, the only other thing I didn't like was how there wasn't an available 2 player RPG mode for this. And yeah, that's true, people overlooked this game all the time because it was not popular like "Tekken" or something of that nature, but so what? People only go for what's popular, that's disappointing. Quality is my main concern, and this game definitely gets my vote for quality. (Graphics not included, though this game was well for its time).
~Graphics do not make a game good, storyline does.~

Ah, the wonderful memories of the past are streaming back. I grew up on this game and when it had to be sold, I was crushed. However, now that I have a hold of it again, I'm all better :). This game is great for anyone who wants a fighting game that includes FF7 characters for the first time that I know of in the states. An A+ game!
FFVII carried an average game over the top

I owned (past tense because i lost it) this game when it first came out because i was able to control FFVII characters in a different atmosphere. Now with the release of Crisis Core i purchased the game again to re-live that feeling. And once again i had a lot of fun fighting Sepheroth vs Zack, and other various combinations. But i realized that if FF characters were not an option, i wouldn't think twice about this game. I was also a little dissapointed at Cloud's face, it didn't look the same as it does in FFVII. Some of their second costumes are so stupid, with the exception of Vincent. But Tifa & Cloud's 3rd costume are great.
Overall the game is fun, but only because of the FFVII characters. Without them, i would find this game in the $3 bin.
Too short , well at least they added extras

Whenever I heard that Squaresoft had made a fighting game with characters from the Final Fantasy series, I jumped at the chance. I admit, it's a fun game, but it lacked in many areas. I can't complain about the amount of characters, but the sounds weren't so good. Although I liked to idea of moving in more than just two directions, it often confused me. Finally, the special moves used by characters where always either amazingly effective or not worth the time. Moves such as heat-seeking missiles make the game way too easy. Aside from all of that, the story is great, and most of the movies are amazing, despite having nothing at all to do with the character's purpose. The many special features, including an RPG mode and several mini-games, make the game more interesting. I'm afraid, however, that picky gamers such as myself will loose intrest fast.
Awe inspiring

I don't own this game, but I can tell by what people have said and by the pictures, that this game can't go unnoticed. I know people have sound it's easy, but it will be interesting, especially if it includes powerful people from Final Fantasy VII.
I know this game won't screw up your hopes for good games, so you should try it sometime in you life time. If you don't, and you like it, you won't be able to experience a very great game.
